A question for those of you who take your children's friends to WDW with you?

The first time we took a friend of my son's to WDW was when they were both 7. This was a 2 week vacation. We have taken his friends on several other vacations since then (non Disney) and are taking a friend of his to DL in 2 1/2 weeks for his 11th birthday.

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule as to how old the friends need to be before taking them on vacation with you. It's all a matter of comfort level. What you'll need to take into consideration is how well they know your family, how comfortable they are away from their own family, how well they'll adhere to someone else's rules, etc etc etc....

All it takes is faith & trust....and a little bit of Pixie Dust!

Candace,
We've taken my sons friends with us several times. When we've driven, we provided the transportation and the room and food for breakfast and invited them to dinner with us. When we flew the parents paid for the tickets. When my son was 17, he had 3 of his friends stay with him in one studio and we were in another. It worked out great. That was when we were still getting free passes, so we split the cost of the two passes that were needed between the three boys. It worked fine and the parents were thrilled. Follow BillPA's advice about the medical information and the letter giving you authorization for emergency treatment. Better safe than sorry. Also, get their medical insurance info. I hope this helps.
