This thread reminds me when I visited Dallas, toured the book depository, sat on the grassy knoll, just shortly after JFK Jrs death...very emotional time.

I think that the whole story is not revealed and one of these days we might get more clarity, I hope.

I don't subscribe to the lone gunman theory either. I'm not sure who was/wasn't involved, but I think there had to be more than 1 shooter. The movie JFK really is thought provoking (I own it, as the JFK assassination has always intrigued me).

Since the government seems to be able to manipulate the facts then I would wonder who really did it. It would not be in the governments interest for it to really come out.

Well, if any of us are still around in 2037, maybe we (yeah, right!) will find out -- I think the records were sealed for 75 years. The way the public school books are being changed and "sanitized" now, people then will ask "JFK who?"

BTW off2disney, I hope you are wrong, I have heard it will be 50 years before they unseal the records. That's ten more years.

It was a conspiracy and for the records to be sealed for a set number of years, it's obvious that some very important people were involved. This is political arrogance to the extreme. Our government effectively came out and said the American people are stupid!

Yes, this probably belongs on the Debate Board, but it's an excercise in futility until the records become public. We can only hope that a President will overturn that in our lifetimes.

I might as well throw my opinion out there... first of all, great thought provoking question Uncle Kyle...

I remember watching the whole thing on TV... I was in high school when I heard that President Kennedy had been shot and can remember riding home on the bus crying with all the rest of the students when we heard he had died... I also remember seeing Ruby shoot Lee Harvey Oswald.......I did not know then what to make of it... it made no sense to me... what was the connection..

Now, in retrospect, I believe there was a huge conspiracy and Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone.. no way.. I hate to think that our own government was somehow involved in the assasination but the thought keeps presenting itself.... if not, then why the cover-up. I hope that I find out someday what really happened... what a sad time for our country..
