I will be going down to WDW from 12-3 until 12-15 and have booked the WL Courtyard view. It will be DH,
DS (2y11m) and myself. I would like a room with two queen beds and a wonderful view of the pool and Bay Lake. My question is do any of you have specific room numbers that fit the bill? Pictures would be great, but that's pushing it. Also how would I go about asking for said room, and I have made a decision? Thanks everyone, you have been the best!!!!:woohoo:

A great reference for this type of question is this map, which shows a map of WL with room numbers filled in:

As far as requests, you will have a much better chance of getting the room type and view you like by being as broad as possible with your requests. Asking for a specific room may not be the best bet.

Sometimes, telling the reservation CM what you want to see out your window leaves it a little too open-ended. For what you described, almost queen-bed courtyard room would do. An upper floor is best for getting a good view of the lake.

I stayed in July, and while I don't remember the exact room number, it was on the 7th floor, Concierge, 2 queen beds, South Wing, inner courtyard, (referencing the map) between 7107 and 7121.

We had 3 courtyard view rooms at the WL last April/May and I don't remember the room numbers but we were on the fourth floor but way too close to the main lobby so on the balconies all we saw were small bushes and trees and part of a little stream and rooms across from us and we could see the back main sitting decks outside that than were smoking areas. If you want to look at the pool or lake you need to go Way down Not by the main back doors. Just asked the Family and they said rooms, 4107, 4111 and 4115 which all my rooms through the Grand Gatherings were to have all three of our rooms together, when we got to the WL at check in they had us on different floors..Not a Happy Camper so we had to wait an extra 4 hours to get on the same floor and pretty close to each other. Hope this Helps.

Be sure to request the main courtyard. Some of the rooms facing the villas pool have been reclassified as courtyard view, and I think those views would be pretty disappointing if you booked courtyard to have a view of the spring, pool, geyser and Bay lake.

I had Courtyard view last May, my balcony was one of the ones that was made of stone, we had to stand to see anything. We had a direct view, when we stood. I love to set with my feet up, it could not be done on this balcony, very narrow. I think we were on the 4th floor. No complaints with the room. I had made one request, a king bed... no, I did not get it.

Isn't that easy to remember?! I had requested bunk beds before they became their own room category, but we did not get them. But we did get a great view of the pool, geyser, lake, water parade, and could see the tops of the fireworks. We loved it.

Have a great trip. WL is an awesome resort!

Excellent view from 4139 back in September. Loved the sound of that waterfall when sitting out on the balcony. We could see the waterfall, pool, geyser and enough of the lake to see the water parade at night.

Did I mention I loved the sound of the waterfall?

I would just request inner courtyard.....

The view is awesome.
the higher the floor....the better the view....

Top floor has enclosed balconies....if you dont want that...ie cant see
when you sit down....

Ask for a inner courtyard view with an open balcony.

If you request inner courtyard, end of south wing, upper floors you will get all the great views you mentioned as well as being able to see the fireworks over the other side of the hotel. We had 6157- but it was a bunkbed room. GoodLuck!

We had Rm 4161 in July, it was a 2 queen room in the south wing at the very end of the hallway. It was perfect. When I made my reservation I simply requested inner courtyard, 4th or 5th floor. Here is the view.

We also had a great view of the electric water parade and a partial view of the MK fireworks.
