So tomorrow is the rumored date for Free Dining to become available to Disney Visa Card holders. What is the protocol? Is there a code that becomes available that you'll need to mention or do you just say you have a Disney Visa? I already have three rooms reserved (magic your way packages + dining) and I want to apply the discount.

If it's a code you'll need-who has it first? Mousesavers, Disney Rewards, the Dis???

Thanks!

Over the past few years I have always got my email from Disney Rewards after the promotion has started. I would check mousesavers and watch these boards.

If you call and say you want to book the Disney Visa free dining package the CM on the phone usually just applies the phone. I never recieved any e mail for Visa last time I just called and they applied the code.

I was just going to echo what a PP said... you should be able to just say "I'd like to book the free dining offer for Disney Visa Cardholders" and the CM should be able to find the corresponding 3 letter code, if you don't happen to have it yet. I often book rooms with a passholder rate and I don't think I've ever had the code handy; I just ask for the AP discounted rate and the CM looks up the code. HTH! Good luck with your ressie tomorrow! :goodvibes

Another question for the veterens, would it be best to call and book at 7am, or can it be done online? Which is easier or faster?

I am planning on calling at 7am and am expecting to be on hold for a long time. last time it was over an hour. I may try to book while on hold but not sure you can.

Depends. The website has, in the past, crashed or moved really slowly under the load of people all booking. However, you might have to wait a long time on the phone. It really depends on what you want to do and what you think your best bet is.

Yup book over the phone, last years the site wasnt updated with fd until later on in the day:thumbsup2

Both times I have called to apply for free dining with my Disney Visa and both times they have specifically asked for the code.

Does anyone know - I booked through AAA (a complete package) and am going during the FD times. Do I need to wait until my AAA travel agent is in and have her call to see if we can add the FD or can I just call Disney. Last time I went through AAA, Disney said they couldn't help me with anything, that I had to go back through AAA (but I'm not sure if this has changed).

From what I understand, the TA owns your reservation and they will have to make any changes to your reservation and Disney Reservations can not help you.
