Hello everyone,

I am directing this question mainly to our many friends here in the airline industry, or to anyone who has just flown. Given the new FAA regulations on carry on baggage, has there been any change to the practice of accepting strollers as a gate-checked item prior to boarding? If it matters, I am flying USAir from PHL to MCO later this month. Thanks!

Now this would be a guess, but I'd say no. YOu aren't actually bringing the stroller on the plane, you are leaving it at the end of the jetway for it to be placed with all the other checked luggage. You are given a claim check for it when you do gate check it, so it really is a piece of checked luggage. If you're really worried, call the airline, they'll definitely be able to tell you!
