Well, not really yuck, but I wanted to know if you are able to buy Pampers Baby Dry Diapers at the resorts. We need this particular brand and we don't want to haul 100 diapers along with us from California.

Thanks,

Roy

I don't know if you can buy that brand or not. Haven't bought diapers in a few years.

However, I think they would be expensive at the resorts. You could always mail a package ahead, with the extra baby supplies. That is what we used to do. It would be cheaper, in the long run.

Just box everything up and mail to

Resort name
Guest name (arrival date)
address.

If you go to whatever shipper you want to use, there will be a timetable, on when to send it, to ensure delivery before you get there. We usually planned it out to get there a day or 2 ahead of us. Worked great.

If you are using towncar service from the airport to your resort, many of them will stop at a local grocery store for you. Just don't use Goodings - they charge almost $20 for the small pack of Pampers. Try Publix. Much less $$$.

I've never seen that brand there and since we use those I tend to look in the different places. I think the brands I see the most is Luvs or a Disney generic brand.

Disney has a "deal" with Huggies, so that's all you'll ever find sold on WDW property. Either send a box in advance, or pack it in your luggage. It will be extra room for all those things you buy at WDW.

Don't do it! I don't know whether they sell that brand, but I had to buy a package of Huggies due to an emergency while at the Beach Club a few years ago, and the price worked out to about $1 per diaper!

Why not pack the diapers you need in a separate bag that way when you return (with fewer diapers) you'll have room for the souvenirs you'll be buying.

I wonder if it would be cheaper/easier to buy your diapers from Amazon or Drugstore.com and have them delivered directly to the resort?

What I always do is to put the diapers in the front gusets of the suitcases. I can fit about 80+ that way plus more in the diaper bag+ some in the suitcases if I need to. You only have to get them down there...so you will have extra room for purchases on the way home.

Consider shipping a case of diapers to your resort ahead of time. Diapers don't weigh that much, and shipping them UPS ground won't cost that much.

I guarantee this would be less than buying them on property even if they did have the right brand.

With UPS you get a confirmation that they have arrived at the hotel too.

I also send a package ahead with diapers and wipes and extra clothes and new coloring books for the plane ride home. I like to travel light in the airport so this works well for me. On our last trip I mailed the package a day late and I had to purchase a package of diaper (Huggies) at the resort gift shop and I think it was $8 for 6 or 7 diapers.

Lots of Dis folks have given good reviews of wegoshop.com.

On a side note to the "yuck" side of the diapers I have had good luck using either scented diaper disposal bags or even just zip locks to keep the room smelling nice. :earseek:

My 28 month old decided last weekend she wanted nothing to do with diapers "Pooh undies!!!!" and she's been doing great. I'm glad she picked short weather for this new challenge and can't wait to have my first diaper free trip to Disney in 5 years. :cool1:

I agree with what others said about packing the diapers in your suitcase or another checked bag. It truly will give you built-in room for souvenirs on the way home. Also, diapers are very light and take up a lot of space, which will help prevent your going over the airline's baggage weight limit, in case that's an issue.

Another poster talked about scented bags or ziplok baggies for diaper disposal. If you're staying at a resort with a lot of outdoor walkways (such as CBR), you can do what I did and simply walk an atomic diaper to an outdoor trash can near your room.
