A PTR for Princesses of all ages...2 days to go.. will I ever be ready??

Hello friends... well we are in crunch mode now... only 11 days until our trip!!!!

Since I last left you I was able to sneak in a weekend trip to Hershey Park... yes we love to travel... although this time it was on a coach bus with a group of high school students. DS and the band went to Hershey for a competition.... and they swept them all... they not only won best concert band, best jazz ensemble, and best choir in their respective classes but the won the overall award for concert band, jazz and choir among all classes. It was great to be us.... although we were getting some not so nice stares from some of the other schools. The kids worked really hard in preparation for this trip and it paid off. The next day we were able to spend the day at Hershey Park for a day of roller coasters and such...tons of fun..... the kids were great... no problems...which isn't always easy when you are traveling with 150 people....

So back to the DISNEY trip!!!!

I finished up some shopping this past weekend... have most of the stuff for my box to ship to the hotel and have brought the suitcases up. Still have to order the water. Also completed the Mousekeeping envelopes and went to AAA to purchase the tickets. Phhhhew.... thats done!!!

For my box I have in it so far..... shampoo, conditioner, mouse, hairspray, toothpaste, razors, body wash, lotion, sun screen, after sun soother, gum, 3 boxes of Kashi bars, oatmeal, band-aids, rain ponchos, and anti-bacterial hand wipes. Still need to get the cereal, bowls and spoons in there....

I also purchased my DMom a cute t-shirt from the Disney store... 3 for $20... one for her... 2 for me.... plus I got her a $50 gift card and a Mickey tote bag... she will be coming here for Mothers Day.

Tomorrow I can do the on-line check in.... not sure if I want to do this or not as I do have specific requests in for our room because of Moms health... but I am hoping it will work out okay....

DSis is at WDW right now... says it is hot and the crowds aren't bad... they are staying at the boardwalk... loving it!

well.... I must try and get some work done today so off I go... see you soon!!!!

Glad to hear you had a good time! Speaking of making mousekeeping envelopes....I'd like to do this for our upcoming trip. I've only stayed in Marriott villas lately, so there's been no housekeeping for us. What do you do to make your envelopes??

Meghan... I used Word and went to their envelope option... then I inserted pictures of Diseny characters which I got off google images... and then inserted a text box... I will take a photo and post it...

Well I did the on-line check in... it was really easy... lets hope it works out with the room location we wanted... one thing I did notice is that it said under room type that we had PIRATE - Waterview... I know I booked a standard room... and I didn't thinkthat POR had Pirate rooms... not sure what that is all about so guess we will have to wait and see.....

Some sad news... we may lose one of our traveling companions for our girls trip... DMom's friend who is going with us... well her husband was put in the hospital last night with 95% blockage to his heart.... they couldn't believe he was still up and moving... they are trying to thin his blood now so they can take care of him....he is insisting that Pat still goes... but she, understandibly won't leave him alone.... we still have 9 days before our trip so hopefully he will be better.... he is a really nice guy...

Yes it was really easy... it was www.mydisneyreservation.com... then you just need your login id, password, and reservation number.... took about 2 minutes... then they sent the confirmation email right out.... if you don't have an account just register for one and then you can do the on line check in....

can't believe it is only 9 days... I have my box ready to ship... might do that this afternoon or tomorrow... I will check the US site for how long it will take. In January it was one week....

I have tons of errands to do today... first have to take DS to school... I let him sleep in today. he was just missing band and a study hall.. they had a double header baseball game last night and didn't get home until 11:45pm... they have 5 baseball games this week.. that is kind of crazy if you ask me... plus he had 4 exams....

Then I need to go buy about 20 bags of mulch so we can finish the flower beds... then clean the pool cover off as the pool man will be here tomorrow to open it... oh... then some of my JOB... then design a program for the spring band concert... yikes..some laundry. busy day... that's okay though because it makes the time before we leave go faster....

I should have an update on DFriends husband this afternoon....

yeah, the online check-in was pretty simple. I also called our hotel, and they said we were checked in. It also looks like we were "upgraded" to the pirate themed rooms! I guess i'll find out in two days!!!

Good news... DFriends husband underwent surgery yesterday and it went GREAT!!! He is coming home today. The doctor has put him on NO restrictions. So unless something happens DFriend is still coming with us..... I am so happy that he is okay!!!

Have a wonderful time.... DSis is there now and she says it is HOT!!!!! She also says the crowds aren't to bad... exceptt at Fantasmic last night... she said it was CRAZY even with the package and arriving 50 minutes early there were no seats left in the reserved section....

Well we are two days away from our trip... and I am NOT EVEN CLOSE to being ready... DD finishes her freshman year of college today so we have to get her moved home. That shouldn't be to bad as we have been getting things for the last few weeks.... we went to see her on Mothers Day for a dance recital and brought back a few things with us... then she came home the weekend before that and brought some things... I really don't know how she fit everything into her half of the room....

What I do have done is my laundry (I am sure she will bring some home with her) and my clothes laid out on the bed..... not in a suitcase but a general idea of what I want to bring. I do have the mousekeeping envelopes done, and I have sent ahead the box with all our goodies in it and ordered the water.... both of which should arrive today. I still need to go to the bank.... (I also did transfer my Disney Rewards...223.. yeah!!) I need to get our boarding passes, need to print out directions to the airport in Rochester, gas the car, contact all my clients to remind them of my vacation, print out copies of files I will need to take with me... yikes....

The weather is looking pretty good.... high 80's to around 90.... 30% chance of rain..... sounds pretty good to me.....

well time to get back to my job....

So glad to hear your friends DH is okay and pulled though surgery okay, is she still going? I hope!!

Sounds like you have A LOT on your plate, deep breath, you'll get there. Even if it means a couple of late nights, you'll get it done. The weather sounds great for your vacation!! I hope you have a WONDERFUL time and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get home!!!!!

I am so excited... I just went out and bought a new laptop.... the old one was slow and I usually ended up saying bad words to it... this one is so fast.................. I am going to take it with me... maybe I can do a live report from Disney...

Thanks everyone.... didn't get much done today... busy moving Maggie home and just having fun with her today.... first we went and bought the new laptop... then we upgraded our phones.... and now I have been sitting infront of the TV watching the two hour Greys Anatomy season finale!!!!!! Tomorrow will be packing day!!!! Oh and bank day!!!!
