THE WHEN AND WHERE OF IT ALL:

Oct 19-24, 2009 (though I am trying to extend it to the 25)
These dates are very important for 2 very important reasons
Oct 19 is my husband’s birthday
Oct 24 is my birthday
POFQ is our chosen place to stay
This decision came after much pouring over the guide books, the pictures on the internet, and as much information as we could find.

BACKGROUND:

I have always loved Disney and have always wanted to travel to Disney World but have never had the chance.
My parents promised me when I was growing up that they’d take us (I have a younger sister) but it never happened.
In 2004 my husband (then fiancé) and I had planned a honeymoon trip to Disney World but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel. We went to Williamsburg Virginia instead and had a wonderful time.
In 2005 we were planning a trip with my parents to go down to Disney World when that ended up being cancelled because they pulled out and the week we were to go our daughter 5 months ended up sick.
Fast forward to 2007 and talk began about another family trip but not until 2009 so everyone could save up the money. The trip was going to be huge, 13 people (7 adults, 1 teenager, 4 children under the age of 10).
I was very excited finally, after all these years I was going to go to Disney. I made spreadsheets on prices, I had notes. Everything was agreed upon. We would go at the end of August of 2009 and stay at All Star Music. My husband and I started to save for the trip then it happened. My parents were the first to pull out of the trip; they had decided they would go back to Boston with friends of theirs and spend less money than going to an amusement park. My cousin was next she was headed back to Atlantic City, after all if my parents weren’t going … My sister was last and they had decided to rent a beach house.
My husband and I looked at each other and said no way are we not going.
On August 3, 2008 we made our reservations.

OTHER INFORMATION:

This trip will be the first for all of us, but we are really hoping that we like it enough not to be our last.
We will be doing the DDP

Thank you for reading. Next up will be the ADR’s are we decide where we want to eat. We’re already pouring over the guide books, and internet again.
