A pregnant woman's food review!!! Oh and a male adult and toddler too!

I am loving your reviews!!!:thumbsup2 Could your daughter be ANY cuter?!?!? :goodvibes

How was taking your daughter this trip? :confused3 We are leaving our son at home this trip...he will only be 18 months, but want to take him next year. He is right at that age where he wont sit down to eat any meals and when he is tired he MUST :scared1:nap in a bed or he freaks out....I am thinking by next year (once he is two) he will be better able to handle Disney again (we took him last year when he was just a baby and he was a CHAMP!!! :goodvibes)

Funny side note---our son fell asleep on the KJS at AK too!!!:rotfl: We laughed about that with my parents for months after because that ride is so bumpy!!!!

Subscribing! I love your reviews and pics...both are making me hungry. :teeth:

I ordered the chicken at WGP, I nearly fainted when i saw the size of it :rotfl2:

I know! Now DH loves his half chicken but this defeated him!

Oh I am loving your reviews. The big brownie and magic cookie bar -- YUM -- they looked good enough to lick off the screen of my computer!

Your DD is adorable - thanks for including the pics of her at CM -- I loved her little outfit! :thumbsup2

It sounds like you had a great time ... maybe minus the screaming at the grasshopper .... (I think about screaming at the giant spider but I hold it in but even so, I understand!)

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 for your reviews so far. (And agree with you and others - the egg rolls at Y&Y CS are great!)

Thanks sooooo much! It is so nice to have people read my review and also post nice comments like yours!

Just booked Sci Fi for our December trip for the burgers but man that Rueben looks good! May have to talk DH into sharing halves! :rolleyes1

I hope you enjoy it! I didn't really think the selections were that great but I sure was happy with my choice!

Thanks! She is pretty darn cute! ;) About taking your son, we went last year when DD was 18 months and it was fun. But this year was sooooooo much better! We ditched the pack n play and got bed rails instead and she totally LOVED sleeping in the bed. We had no baby food to bring with us. We actually dropped our bottles when we were there last year so that wasn't that big of a deal. She was almost potty trained this year so we had WAY less diapers (she was only in pullups) and we didn't have to fight for a change table which was nice. She stayed up REALLY late this year, last year I think we were too scared to try it so we were in the room pretty early, and she did a few more rides and absolutely LOVED all the characters. All in all, I would go again with an 18 mth old but this year was better and I know it will just keep getting better and better!!!!

great reviews

Thanks!

Thanks! I often find myself thinking of a yummy disney snack when I am at home and at a loss of what to eat! It's torture!

So we are just in the middle of selling our house and I totally misplaced all of my notes from our trip.:confused3 There is one box I have left to check so hopefully I can find it and continue my review. Wish me luck!

OK, I finally found some time between work and house showings to write my next review!

On our fourth day, we had planned to go to Typhoon Lagoon for the day, take a long nap so we were all ready to go all night to the MNSSHP! And that is pretty much we did. I was soooooooooo excited for this day, especially since we were eating dinner at the castle! We were able to nap for a while and then get ready for the party. We bought DD a cinderella dress because that is the one she wanted. Here is a super cute photo:

and this was on the boat ride to MK

I have to say I was very proud of her hair! I did it myself and everyone kept asking if we had been to BBB! Maybe next time but I am glad we didn't have to spend the money this time. I have to say though that the CMs around the castle were sprinkling pixie dust for little girls and I think the girl went overboard because DD STILL has the pixie dust and we have been home for three weeks...oh and I DO wash her hair so it's not like I don't try to get it out! Oh well, she's a princess so it suits her!

So our ADR was at 7:00 but we got there around 6:30 to get our candy bags and ride a few rides. I wish I would have booked a 5 or 6pm dinner so that we could have started enjoying the party from the beginning. By the time we finished dinner, we were missing the early parade and I thought the late one was too late. But before I get to more about the party, here is more about the food!!!!

After our pic with Cinderella, we headed upstairs and were seated right away. He had an AWESOME waiter and loooking at our receipt, his name was Christopher. He is really really tall and has this deep John Tesh voice. Anyways, he took our drink orders and appetizer orders very quickly. DH ordered the BLT salad but after seeing the table beside us order the spring rolls, he asked Chris if he could change the salad for the spring rolls. Anyways, the order was made too late so we got both!!! I have to say that the salad was amazing. The dressing was soooooooo good and the portion was just perfect. The spring rolls were just ok. Dh was disappointed and said he would have liked some kind of meat in there but they were vegetarian so I am not sure why he was expecting meat! Anyways, here are the pics:

I wanted the salad too but since Dh ordered it, I went for the corn and crab soup with sour cream and chives. Ok this was EXCELLENT!!!! It was so thick and creamy. There were huge chunks of crab and I could have kept eating more and more bowls of this! I would definitely order this again...and the salad too!

Oh and since toddlers eat free, they brought DD a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I forgot to take a picture but she seemed to like it and I am pretty sure that Dh ate that too!

So after our apps, dinner came quickly. DH ordered the pan seared salmon (with a grain Pilaf, Grilled Asparagus, and glazed with Rosemary-Lemon Honey). Dh said it was ok. I think he wished he would have ordered something else...probably something with meat!!!

I ordered the prime beef (with Grilled Asparagus, Roasted Potatoes, and Cabernet Sauce). the prime rib was really thick...almost too thick for me, only because it was tough and chewy, I was expecting a better quality beef. The cabernet sauce was excellent though and I wish there would have been more. I think I ate about half of it.

They brought DD some butter noodles

After dinner, the fairy godmother and mice come out for their show. That part was cute. We were also served dessert. Dh ofcourse doesn't really eat desserts so I ordered both of them and Christopher brought them out and put them both in front of me! It was funny! So I had the chocolate cream cheese buckle and creme brulee. I ate the WHOLE creme brulee because it was very very good. It had a coffee/espresso taste to it and some fresh raspberries and cream on top and only a few bites of the buckle. I was really full at that point and it just wasn't as good as I was expecting. The chocolate cake part was very good though.

Overall, we have moxed reviews of CRT. I give it a B+. I guess I just liked everything about it. The cinderella pic, eating IN the castle, food was good, service was very good and it lived up to my expectation so there weren't many disappointments. Dh gave it a B- and he stated that he would not go back. I think the fact that it was 2 TS credits each, got to him! And I can understand. The meal costs around $91 and tip was included so it was cheaper than some of our 1TS meals...in hindsight, we should have paid OOP for this one but we didn't know any better. I understand that the breakfast here is good, especially because all the princesses are there but when I told that to DH, he said he wouldn't want to pay 2 TS credits each for breakfast!!!!!! So it looks like this might be my last meal at the castle...it makes me sad but I guess there are other 2 TS meals we should try first before returning. And if this baby is a girl, there is NO WAY that DH could refuse taking us there again and if he does, he can go somewhere else while we go to the castle!

Oh I almost forgot about our night at MNSSHP! We had a GREAT time! The whole place was really well decorated. The CMs were dressed up and there were soooooo many cool characters out. I am sooooo disappointed that I didn't get a pic with the 7 dwarfs but the line was really really long. We rode tons of rides, with no wait but the character wait lines were all really long. Here is a cute one with cinderella and the prince:

And with Mickey:

So we were able to see the scary fireworks. They were really cool but we didn't have the best view so that was disappointing. And since we were there and hadn't seen the early parade, we decided to stay for the late one. Dd was in a good mood (must have been the candy!) so she actually saw it. Oh and one more thing I missed taking a pic of...the headless horseman! And I should have known it because I read it on here a thousand times but my camera was just 5 seconds too late! Oh well, the rest of the parade was AWESOME! That "boo to you" song does get in your head though, doesn't it??!:confused3 There were so many cool villains: Jafar, the hyenas from Lion King, Queen of hearts, queen from snow white, jack sparrow and so many more. And there were tons of other "nice" characters. Anyways, this was my favorite part and I really didn't mind staying for the late one. DH and I rode a few rides that had no lines and DD just sat in her stroller. We finally left at 11:30 and she fell asleep on the boat ride home. We would do this again...but we do want to try the Xmas party too!

So up next: Crystal Palace for breakfast and Ohana for dinner!
