A pregnant mama, Mr. Crazypants, and Ga-Gae celebrate Epcots 30th! TR LINK-10/16!

Oh my gosh poor Everett!! We have also unfortunately seen WAY too much of Paxton's pediatrician lately...4 times in the last 2 weeks! At least the ped was able to get the cat kibble out. A friend's niece had to go to the ER recently for sticking a raisin so far up her nose that her mom could feel it at the bridge of her nose!!! When they got to the ER, they actually found 2 up there. :faint: Too bad you will have to skip out on the photo shoot though...maybe next time with the whole family, though, right?

Can't believe your trip is SOOOO close!!

I can't believe how close your trip is! So exciting! :cool1:

I'm so sorry to hear about your IL troubles. I hear so many stories like yours and it makes me very thankful that mine are out of the country. :rotfl: And poor Everett! I hope his black eye is looking and feeling much better now. I can't believe he put cat food up his nose! :lmao:

Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe you are leaving in a just a few days. How exciting!!! :woohoo:

I am so glad that the hotel sleeping issues seem to have worked themselves out. Also remember how WDW is for a child. Willow has often been a nightmare for sleeping in a hotel, but after a day at WDW or DLR, she is OUT. Very pleasant.

I can't wait to hear about Epcot's anniversary. I hope they do something really special. I want to see the merchandise too! :woohoo:

As for the run-in with your in-laws. I just can't believe it! I am just floored when adults behave in such a way - I mean, what possible benefit is there in life to treating other people like that???? And your own daughter-in-law? Ridiculous! You obviously go out of your way to spend time with them - an incredible amount, if you ask me. Bizarre. I hope they get their act together!

But most importantly, have an AMAZING trip! I can't wait to hear all about it in a TR!!!!! :cool1:

Less than a week to go! :cool1:

I thought 1900 Park Fare was pretty good. A nice variety and the food was hot. Plus, I think the convience of it being on the monorail will be nice for you since you'll be having to deal with check out.

Magic Kingdom on departure day...you're stronger than me! That has to be hard, but the advantage is you get to see the castle one final time and ride some of the best attractions. :lovestruc

Glad to hear you also enjoyed 1900 PF! Its one of the few Disney restaurants I haven't tried, so it was on my short list. I love a good breakfast buffet, so I'm sure I'll be happy!

Yeah, last day is always the worst, but I want to get the most out of every vacation. I know I'll be back in April (and pretty busy between now and then :rotfl2:), so leaving won't be too awful

Our trips are getting so close!!! Can you believe it?!? :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Your last day plans sound as good as possible - considering it's the last day at Disney & all. :rotfl: Seems like I've heard a lot of good things about the breakfast at 1900 PF here lately. Hope y'all enjoy it!

I forgot that we were both going to be in MK on Oct 2nd! I know it's your last day & you'll be pressed for time. But, I'd love to say "Hi!" real quick if you have a moment. Since it's our 1st full day at MK, we'll probably be in Fantasyland that morning.

Yay, we're so close! :) I hope we do get a chance to meet up, it would be really fun to meet you in person, and I'm sure the boys are kindred spirits!

I love how you always manage to squeeze in that last little bit of Disney! We are always too paranoid we will not make it back to ME in time and miss our flight that we just hang at the resort. :rolleyes2:sad:

I love the next week at this time game! I have been playing it since Sunday. :)

I have heard amazing things about breakfast at 1900.. we did dinner there last time and it was delicious.

I hope you guys have a wonderful and amazing trip... how do you not its DISNEY!!! pixiedust::cool1::banana:

My DH is a little like you, he always get anxious on the last day about things like missing our flight and stuff. Me, I'm always secretly HOPING to miss our flight! :rotfl:

I'm so jealous! And at the same time, really excited that so many of you will be doing TRs soon! I need good ones to read!

I promise to have this TR up and running quickly, because I want to get it done before the baby. Knowing how I am though, I'll likely be updating from the delivery room :rotfl2:

Yay for 1 week left!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Oh no, I hope Everett's eye is feeling better soon!!! (He looks SO big in that photo!!!) And that he keeps kitty food (and all other small items) out of his nose!!! Thankfully you were able to avoid the ER!

Any day I skip the ER is a good day! :lmao:

Luckily he has been good for the rest of the week and (knock on wood) hopefully we'll have an easy last day home!

I have never eaten at 1900 Park faire, but have always wanted to try the strawberry soup.

Don't you hating writing about your last day?

Woo Hoo for last minute packing and diaper shopping!

Packing and diaper shopping updates coming up next!

I am excited for strawberry soup, I love a good chilled soup!

I'm all caught up! Are you packed yet?!? The picture of Everett and his black eye! :( Lily has one to almost match, same eye too! I brought her into bed with us right before I had to get up for work DH was in the shower, I was getting things ready for the day and I hear "BAM' and instant crying! She was standing next to the bed bawling and then instant black eye!

Sorry to read about your inlaws and having to deal with that without DH. You make time for Everett to see them and that's how they treat you?! I hope they don't behave like that in front of him!

Have a GREAT time on your trip! Can't wait to read all about it when you come back!!!

Gosh, I'm really sorry about Lily. Everett is really proud of his black eye, and loves looking at it in the mirror, is Lily the same way, or is that just a guy thing? :rotfl2:

Yeah, I'm trying with them, but it never seems to make any difference. I'm so looking forward to my week away!

It looks like it will be a fun trip and I look forward to following along. Especially the part about the EPCOT 30 year events.

Have a great time!

I will be doing my very best to do updates! Especially on the 30th and 1st!

Oh my gosh poor Everett!! We have also unfortunately seen WAY too much of Paxton's pediatrician lately...4 times in the last 2 weeks! At least the ped was able to get the cat kibble out. Can't believe your trip is SOOOO close!!

Oh my gosh, I really hope Everett learned his lesson about things up the nose, I don't don't want to have to do that again, and raisins are one of his favorite foods! :)

Sorry that Paxton has been sick too, is he feeling better?

I can't believe how close your trip is! So exciting! :cool1:

I'm so sorry to hear about your IL troubles. I hear so many stories like yours and it makes me very thankful that mine are out of the country. :rotfl: And poor Everett! I hope his black eye is looking and feeling much better now. I can't believe he put cat food up his nose! :lmao:

I kinda wish my in-laws lived on another planet. :rotfl2: Everett's black eye is looking much better, its more pink now than purple, and isn't quite as fierce looking.

Just think you have all these fun things to look forward too! I would say that you'll see less of the pediatrician with a girl, but my best friends girl has Everett beat when it comes to trips to the ER, so I guess you never know!

I'm so glad that the hotel sleeping worked out, and I'm going to do my very best to wear the heck out of that boy every day. The good thing about Disney, if he won't sleep at night, I can just take him to the pool and make him swim laps. That's is always guaranteed to wear him right out!

I'm glad I'm not crazy when it comes to my in-laws. I really thought I was seeing them plenty, and then to hear that they don't appreciate the effort I do put in is pretty infuriating! :confused3 The whole argument is very juvenile, haven't they heard it is the quality of time spent and not the quantity that counts! ::yes::

Well, we have one full day left before Disney!

I'm pleased to let you all know that not only did I remember to order the diapers for Everett, but I am mostly packed! One full suitcase is ready to go and there is another suitcase just waiting for the last odds and ends. Yay, I won't be running around like a crazy person tomorrow night (well, maybe I won't be!).

Tomorrow its off to Target for a few last things I need/couldn't find.

I think you guys all would be very proud that I even took the time to try the rain cover on the new stroller, to make sure I knew how to do it before I'm standing in the pouring rain in Tomorrowland, using some very pirate-like, salty language because I can't figure the darn thing out! :rotfl2:

Today I went and got my nails done while Everett napped (my parents were home to keep an eye on things), and I downloaded a new book "The Light Between Oceans" for my e-reader. I don't know if I'll get a real chance to do any reading, but I'd rather have it than not.

I also made one Disney related change- I canceled my arrival day ADR at WCC. They changed the menu last week, and now they don't have any bar-b-que options in the skillet. The brisket and pulled pork were the best parts of WCC IMHO, and without them I'm not terribly interested in making the trek to the WL. I'm going keep ADR stalking in hopes of a CP dinner, or I'm going to try walking up right at 5 pm. If all else fails we'll eat at the contempo cafe, or just get room service.

I might pop in tomorrow, but if I don't, I hope you all have a wonderful week, and I'll see you when I get back!

Oh my gosh! Poor Everett. :( That black eye doesn't look like it was fun.

When I was little, I put a bead up my nose. Everett and I are kindred spirits, it seems.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe how soon you're leaving! I'm so excited for you! I hope you have a fantastic trip!!!

You are doing much better than me - I need to get packing!

Sounds like you are really close to being all ready to leave!! I hope y'all have a safe trip down. And I really do hope we get to meet up! :goodvibes

Your trip is almost here!!!:woohoo::goodvibes

Only those last minute essential-item pickups today, which is really good. Normally, I can't Alex to even think about packing until the afternoon before.

It's sad that they took out all the BBQ options at WCC, that's what looked most appealing on the menu (at least to me) but at least they made that change early enough so you could cancel the ADR and not arrive there and be disappointed. :confused3 Hopefully, a new ADR opening will pop up soon and you'll be able to eat at CP without having to go through the risk of walking up and hoping.

I've been stalking the weather channel website the last few days, and so far it's looking pretty good for Disney. I mean, a 30-40% chance in Florida is the norm, so hopefully you won't have to pull out that rain cover!

Woo Hoo for only one more day till Disney! :cool1: I hope you all have an absolutely fabulous job.

Also - I think you were smart to cancel WCC and I am going to keep my fingers crossed for a walk-up ADR at CP. I also love the Contempo cafe as an alternative. Hey, have you considered the Wave? You could definitely get a walk up there. I have eaten there three times and it has been equally good all three times.

Anyway - have a great time!

Have a magical trip!!!!!

I will be waiting patiently  for you to return and start a TR! :woohoo:

You are THERE! Holy moly where has time gone. I can't WAIT to hear all about it and see tons of pictures. I'm finally looking up your stroller RIGHT NOW! IDK if I can convince DH we need another one, but I'm thinking he's going to get the hint when I refuse to pick up our city select every time we need to fold it up for our October trip LOL. Looking forward to your thoughts on it! :goodvibes

I missed the send off, but I hope you have a WONDERFUL and AMAZING and MAGICAL pixiedust: trip!!!

2012-09-17_19-03-25_543_zps0eb3019e.jpg

Poor guy! Better get ready for more of this, though, is he's anything like my boys. Bruises, scrapes, stitches, broken bones, torn internal organs....they did it all!

Hope you are having an absolutely wonderful, magical time! pixiedust:

Oh gosh, a bead! The dr said that it was better he put something organic like cat food up his nose than something hard and plastic. The cat food would have eventually dissolved, but a bead would have caused big trouble.

You are doing much better than me - I need to get packing!

Sounds like you are really close to being all ready to leave!! I hope y'all have a safe trip down. And I really do hope we get to meet up! :goodvibes

I am really sorry we never got a chance to meet up, our last morning was not going as planned, we got to the MK way later than I would have liked, and then the only thing that Everett wanted to do was ride the train. :rolleyes2

Your trip is almost here!!!:woohoo::goodvibes

Well, I now own three strollers, which might be a little crazy for one kid, so you are not alone. I did LOVE the G-luxe for the trip. It was so easy to handle, and the recline came in handy, and I liked having the extra sun protection. It was also nice to just throw the seating pad in the wash when we got home (it got grubby over the trip). I'll write a little more about it in the TR.

I missed the send off, but I hope you have a WONDERFUL and AMAZING and MAGICAL pixiedust: trip!!!

Thank you, we had a great time!

Oh my gosh, I know that all that is coming, but I am not looking forward to it! I really don't like blood or doctors or hospitals! :crazy2:

So.... I'm back! :wave2:

About the only positive thing I can say about being home vs. being at Disney is: at least I'm not sweating anymore. :rotfl2:

It was HOT and HUMID! I mean, I knew it would be warm, I lived in Florida for 10 years and all, but I was not expecting 90+ degrees and near 100% humidity. It was more like July than the end of Sept.

But, I'm a trooper, and I wasn't going to let something small like weather (and swollen ankles ;) ) get in the way of a good vacation!

All in all we had a wonderful time! The trip had its high points, its low points and its basement-dwelling moments, but that's all part of vacationing with a toddler, things are not going to be magical pixie-dust 24-7.

Everett was really good, all things considered. He slept like a champ! Didn't wake up once during the night! :thumbsup2 He also ate pretty well, and behaved himself for the most part. Really, it was everything I could have hoped for! :cheer2:

We also LOVED the contemporary. It really and truly is my Disney home, and I can't wait to get back.

Yup, you read that right, we're going to be back at the contemporary sooner rather than later! My mom and I enjoyed our time there so much that we switched our April reservation from SSR to BLT! :cool1: We now have one two-bedroom and two studios for our big family trip. Also DH, the boys and I are going to go down a few days early, and we are staying- you guessed it- at the contemporary! I'm calling to book a little later this week.

So, now I need to get moving with this TR! I hope to have it up and running next week sometime. Its going to take a while to get my photopass pictures, but I'm just going to start without them, and then fill in as needed.

I hope you guys will all follow along to read our adventures!

Welcome back! I'm glad you had a good trip I can't wait to hear about it!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Welcome home! Glad to hear your trip went well and that you're returning to the Contemporary! :thumbsup2

I agree with you on the heat! It was unbelievable how hot it was, especially on the 1st, after it rained for a few minutes. I thought it was hotter than the beginning of May, which is nuts!

I can't wait to read your TR! :goodvibes

Welcome Back! I am hopeful that some of the HOT & HUMID weather will vacate the state soon!

Glad to hear you had a good trip despite the nasty weather!!
