We had lunch at L'Originale Alfredo di Roma last Tuesday May 1st.

We walked into the foyer at about 11:40 and we were given a reservation for opening, which is at noon. By the time noon rolled around the foyer was packed with people waiting for their names to be called!

We were seated in the separate dining room that's over on the right (if that makes sense, I don't know how else to describe it.) It was very quiet in there, I would've preferred the main dining area, but I wasn't about to asked to be reseated in another area.

My DH, & his aunt and uncle ordered the Lasagnette Pasticciate alla Modenese while I ordered the Trittico di Pasta. All of us were pleased with our selections. The lasagna was easily an 8 x 8 inch square serving, it was huge! The portions of my sampler were perfect, just the right amount of food for me! We all cleaned our plates and were too full for dessert.

Our waiter was pleasant and we had an excellent lunch!

It seems Alfredo's has been getting some bad reviews as of late, so I just wanted to assure anyone that has a pending ADR to give it a try and find out for yourself before it's gone! It's closing at the end of the summer and being replaced with another restaurant called Patina (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for sharing.

We planned on eating here regardless of the poor reviews. In fact the reviews seem so disparate, that it's hard to believe everyone ate at the same place!

I'm glad you liked it, and we plan to enjoy it too.

My family had dinner there last August. While it wasn't our favorite spot we certainly enjoyed it. I really picked it because of my kids. They both love Alfredo sauce.

So glad to see this positive review. We went there last year and I was actually dreading the meal based on what I read here on the boards but we LOVED it! Great food, good service (meal took a little while in between courses) but all in all a wonderful experience!

We wanted to go on our upcoming trip, but we're not going until after they change ownership.

The new owners are the Patina Group, which is where you got that from, but I don't know anything about the name. They're going to run it in the existing location for the time being while they work on getting the actual new Italian restaurant ready for a Sept. 2008 opening. The Patina Group owns the Italian (and others I think) restaurant at Disneyland.

I may be the only one, but we have never had a bad meal there, we love it! and will miss it when it is gone.
