We were thinking of getting together with another family after the parks close for dessert and drinks. We are in different hotels, but both on the MK monorail.

I am looking for suggestions for where we could get together. The group ranges in ages from 20 to 60.

All thoughts appreciated.

I highly recommend Mizner's lounge at GF. I've only had the arancini & Grand Cocktail which were both excellent but there are also desserts on the menu & at times, there is live music just outside the lounge which is nice.

Tambu lounge at the Poly is also a good option if you go for their bread pudding (same that is served at Ohana) & of course, I'd consider the Lapu Lapu a 'dessert' in its own right, but that's just me.. ;)

I second Mizner's Lounge at GF. My husband and I spent a lovely evening there - no reservations, just walked up - last January. The music was so nice...good wine and we ordered a couple apps to share. It was so relaxing and away from the crowds. They had a few desserts on the menu...key lime pie, cheesecake, maybe something chocolate? We shared a creme brûlée and had coffee.

I'm confused.... according to allears.net, they don't have much and may still be closed for renovation.

The description on AllEars (copied below) is not up-to-date. It mentions that Mizner's Lounge will resume service in December 2016. We were there in January 2017 and it was definitely open and beautiful. The WDW website has pictures of what the lounge (under GF info) looks like and they are up-to-date.

Description:

Mizner's is currently closed as a lounge, as it is acting as a Grab & Go location while Gasparilla Island Grill is closed for refurbishment. Lounge service should resume in December 2016. In the meantime, Citrico's bar is available for drinks, as a lounge from 1 p.m. on.

Lots of good choice. Tambu has fun drinks, but its very loud. Trader Sams's is super fun! Mizner's, as mentioned might fit your bill. If you're going lateish - like after fireworks, you might be able to get a seat, or even table at the CG and watch the lights on the castle.
