A Picture's worth a thousand word... my DL Picture TR..

so I know its a little late being as we got back about 3 months ago.. but I am finally going to do somewhat or a TR... now careful as you read this.. I am the photographer of the family (so expect LOTS of pictures) and my Aunt (Kaoden39) is the writer.. maybe once she gets out of the hospital she will come on here and share her insights!

CAST

My Auntie, we will call her Auntie.. fellow DISer Kaoden39, the person that got me on the DIS board, and my best friend...

my Uncle, who I'll call Uncle, also a Disney fan and all around fun and funny guy..

my grandma, also I will call her Grandma, LOVES Disneyland HATES crowds.. also is getting kind of up there in age and was NOT enjoying the walking..

and my 3 cousins...

Grumpy, Auntie's DD 13yo... let me just tell you that little miss grumpy here was PMSing on our trip.....

Sneezy, Auntie's DD 12yo... poor thing had a cold the whole trip...

and Sleepy, Auntie's DS 10yo... the name says it all.. he did not sleep well the whole trip!

and ME 19yo... LOVE DISNEY!!! and everything Disney... collecter of Belle, driver and keeper of the peace... I basically invited myself on this trip... Auntie was talking about going and I said "ok when are we going??" we cleared it with Uncle by bringing up the fact that he would be able to sit in the front seat as well as Grandma, because Grandma is a front seat hog even tho Uncle gets car sick! so I drove my car and Auntie drove her van and we were OFF!

So I was packed about 2 or 3 weeks in advance and my stuff was in the back of my car and I was off to Grandma's house to get the riders in my car!

let me paint the picture for you.. there were 7 of us going and Auntie was driving her 7 seater van but we decided to go in 2 cars... more comfortable.. so I drive a convertable bug... comfortable... so Grandma was riding with me as well as Grumpy and Sleepy... and in the van was Auntie, Uncle and Sneezy... usually when we all go camping we have the same arrangment... except Sneezy rides with me and Sleepy rides with Auntie and Unlce... because he is the boy... well last camping trip Sneezy was riding back with Auntie and Uncle and Sleepy got sick and we decided to put Sleepy in the van and Sneezy back in the car with us... well she wasnt happy with this and Auntie promised her should could have the van both ways the next trip we took... well here we go.. next trip... so I get Grumpy and Sleepy.. but they were good so no problem with me!

so we were off! we were planning on driving the whole way there no stops except to potty and stretch... we live about 8 hours away... the LONGEST trip I have ever driven on... well we were about half way there and Auntie got really sick.. so we ended up stopping for the rest of the night at Motel 6 in Calingda... I probablt spelled it wrong but whatever... little Miss Sneezy was NOT happy about this stop.. none of the kids were... but I was! they figured we were going to end up not getting to DL... well in the morning I cheered them up by pointing out that I smelled llamas and we played the Silly Songs with Larry VeggieTales CD... whatever entertains my cousins!! they are older but this CD cracks them up!!

so we were off again! 6 AM! we stopped and got breakfast at McDonalds and quickly got on our way... so there were a few stops on the way so we could potty and stretch and stuff and we were finally close.. I could see the billboards with Disneyland on them and I was getting so excited! I hadnt been in 5 years... so we just kept driving and driving and I saw the Disneyland Drive exit signs and I thought I was going to rip my stearing wheel off with excitement!! I was like a little kid being told they could have as much stuff as they want in a candy store!! I thought Grumpy and Sleepy were going to wet themselves they were laughing soo hard!

then we were there... pulling up to the DL hotel... this is my first time staying on site...... I... thought... I ... was .... going ... to ... explode with excitement... just thinking about it has me all giddy about it!

so we walk into the DL hotel and we were greeted by Mickey and Minnie...

so here is Me, Grumpy, Sleepy, and Sneezy.. I forgot the zoom was on when I took this picture...

and just so you know.. as the three kids had 7 dwarf nicknames.. as did I... I was Dopey... I was like a little kid the whole trip.. I was jumping up and down and sqweeling when I would see things... oh well live with me kids!

so while I am waiting for some pictures to upload let me tell you some more about us...

so when Auntie told me I was going I already had to suitcase out of the garage and opened up to air out and get cleaned up before I even got off the phone with her... thats when it started.. the planning what to take, what rides to go on... what has changed in 5 years... I MUST MEET BELLE AND JACK SPARROW to ease all wondering minds I meet both pictures will come!.. what would I buy?!? where can I get a bigger memory card for my camera?? what would I do m camera battery was being faulty!!

well after some shopping I did get a bigger memory card and my fiance'd mom gave me her extra rechargeable battery from her camera thats just like mine! YAY!

then Auntie told me about this board and everything changed... I had to get LGMHs.. I had to decorate them!!! I had to get all the lime green things I could!! I had to foster a crocker!! wow!!!

so I was praticing french braiding my own hair (yes add this to the list of things I had to learn to do before the trip) and Auntie tells me that the college out here was doing a locks for love thing.. cut off your hair for locks of love and donate it... Auntie told me she was going to do it and I had to also.... her hair was WAY shorter than mine... so I got 11 inches cut off my hair and this ended my french braiding practice! I have before and after pics if anyone is interested...

so we were all waiting in the DL hotel lobby while Auntie was checking us in and I was playing with my camera as USUAL!!!

so here is what I mean about Mister Sleepy...

he was sleeping... but me walking into the room woke him up!

and here is the view from our room!! AKA the POOL!

So Auntie was still sick so she sent the kids and I off to the Land... well we decided to just walk around the Hotel hoping she would feel ok enough to make it to the reservations we had at the Carnation Cafe in about an hour... this is when I got to meet DisneylandMama and pick up our Crocker friend Flora!

so here is the hotel grounds..

pretty self explainitory for the most part!

see what I mean about Sneezy bein a ham and Grumpy being a grump!

here they are in the Gazebo!

and all of us with my bein in front and behind the camera talents!!

Grumpy started to cool off a bit.. but was a Grump the ENTIRE trip!

ok here are a few more of the hotel!

and this is where we ate almost every night.. it was really good and it was easy.. and on the property...

so we went back to the room to see how Auntie was and she still wasnt feeling up to eating... so she sent up with the gift card to the reservations we had at Carnation Cafe so we could eat and meet up with DisneylandMama to pick up FLORA! unfortunatly i forgot to get a pic of DLmama and I!! another reason to go back!

so here is Sneezy, Sleepy, and Grumpy (who is behind Sneezy's arm! ) and FLORA!!

and here is Flora on our table.. the food there was soo good! I got a chicken sandwich!

so we were on our way to the Jungle Cruise and saw Mary Poppins and Bert!

and then we made it to the jungle cruise!

this was in the que! I never remembered seeing it! but not too long of a wait for Jungle Cruise... but it was HOT the first day...

so our boat finally arrived

and Flora saw this

and decided to hide in the backpack.. she didnt want to be another notch..
and as I was saying it was hot today... so was our boat driver!

not the best pic but I didnt want to look like a stalker!

I told Flora to come out adn see her cousin but she was still not havin becoming another notch on the Amazon Belle!
