Howdy and Hello...
Let me start off with a warning. This is my very first trip report of any sort; however, I've enjoyed reading through countless others on the disboards. I hope that y'all (I'm from the south) enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed others. On the other hand, in words of Jon Foreman, if I'm "adding to the noise turn off this song."
Without further ado..
THE CAST:
Me: Husband. Father. Musician. Disney trip count: 6 or so times…
The Wife: Phenomenal Spouse. Fantastic Mother. Teacher. Musician. Disney trip count: 2-ish (more on that later)
The Offspring (4): Child. Tornado. Silly. Flatchulator. Has only been to MK and AK for a very quick trip earlier this year. Loves characters, animals, dancing and candy. (Oh, to be young again…)
The Grandmother: Maw Maw. Partial Financier. Trip Originator. Closet Disney nut. Disney trip count: 5+
The Others: My brother and his family will also be joining us. This brings our party total to nine. Yippee!
Is total insanity expected with a party of nine during New Year’s Eve at Disney? I'm expecting nothing less...
Side Note: I proposed to my then girlfriend, now wife, at Disney roughly 10 years ago; more than likely the primary contributing factor that she said, “yes.” (Thanks for the help Mr. Disney) Maybe a post dedicated to this as well?
THE DETAILS:
Arriving at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort on December 29th and departing on January 3rd. Loose plans are as follows:
Depart home-base on December 28th at approximately 5AM and drive to Lake City, FL. Grab a bite and catch some Zzz’s then hit the road again. We expect to be on hotel property by 10:30ish and once we’re able, onward to Animal Kingdom.
