A one-eyed kitten!

And no, I haven't been drinking. While browsing throug foxnew.com I came across this story for a one-eyed kitten: Here . Sadly, Cy, as it was named, lived only one day. You know, I don't want to sound cruel or anything, but...man, that's a strange looking kitten.

I read somewhere that the owner of the kitten has it's corpse frozen in their freezer in case the scientific communtity wanted to look at it. They said they promise it wont' end up on Ebay.

I read that the picture was screened for evidence of being Photoshopped, and it supposedly was authentic.

How strange. But although they say it's "real" (not photoshopped) I agree with a PP - Kittens are born with their eyes closed. They take more than a week to open...

If it was real, I hope he wasn't in any pain.

ok. The cat had one eye and no nose I don't think he cares that kittens have closed eyes.

Poor kitty though. I'm a big cat lover, and its sad that sometimes those things happen.

According to Snopes this is a true story. In this kind of deformity, the animal has no eyelids, and so the eye would appear to be open. Snopes says the owner held and dropper fed the kitten while it lived. I found the picture very sad.

Our vet had an office cat named Cy for years. He only had one eye but I believe he lost his other one due to some sort of trauma. What a beautiful cat he was.
