Last night the boards were migrated to a new database server. For the technically inlclined the big difference is that instead of all internal drives this one is hooked up via fiber channel with to an EMC Clarion SAN array, we are using 10 drives in a raid 5
Like any new server it may need a little tweaking and tuning so bear with me for a day or two and the boards should be flying!

Yup, I noticed they are going a LOT faster today!

Does this mean the old really long threads will return? I have been posting on a thread for 2 years and it disappeared - much to everyone on it's unhappiness. I started a new thread, but there were a lot of photos and memories on the old one -even to make it an archived thread that could be viewed would be fine I am sure.

That so cleared everything up. ;)

I think I read that they were going to lock the long threads and chop them up. That way they could still be referred to, but won't be so hard to pull back up. Or maybe that was a dream. :rotfl:

that would be nice...just as a reference point. I am sure we were not the only ones to loose our threads (not to mean our sanity of course :rotfl: )
