A Not So Scary September Birthday Celebration of Magic! Updated 9/23!!

Day 5-> Sunday September 15

Today is a vacation day that is starting off with a first for me! Well, I’ve done it before, but not to the extent that’s really planned for today! What is this first time adventurous thing I have planned?!

SLEEPING IN!!

I know, I know, no sleeping in Disney. I live by that rule, always! However, we’ve got a longer trip this time around, and every so often a bit of sleeping in is good. Our first full MK day is going to be so jam packed, then we take it slow, then the days after Sunday will probably be very full as well, so sleeping in will be needed today!

I’m guessing we won’t actually sleep in that late though, I swear, they start pumping caffeine through the a/c vents starting at like, 6am! We’ll take our time and head down to the food court and get some breakfast from the food court!

Let’s be serious, I’ll probably be eating beignets if they serve them that early though…HA!

After a relaxing breakfast and quiet resort exploring and such we’ll get ready and eventually make our way over to…..

Guess what!?! It’s NOT the park we have yet to visit, ahahaha. It’s back to my second favorite of Disney, Animal Kingdom!

Since we’ve done all the main stuff already today will be for doing the other list of things we hadn’t done before. My main thing I want to see is the Finding Nemo Musical!

I’ve only seen the show once, on my first trip, and we agreed it was worse than some of the dinner theater shows we’ve seen. And despite the fact that FOTLK always wins the “which show” battle on the disboards, there are always people who swear by Nemo, so we’ll take a swing by to make our own call on whether we like it or not!

After the show, we’ll continue in a loop through the park, take a ride on Everest/grab a fast pass for later!

If it’s hot enough, maybe we’ll try Kali River Rapids? Or at least take a look at it? I just know I’m going to be the person who gets soaked, so I don’t really want to go on it, haha!

Maybe I’ll just be “that person” who wears a poncho on the ride? Ahaha

If Mom and Anne want to check out the Flights of Wonder show they’re more than welcome, but I will NOT be joining them thanks to a fear of birds!!

Yeah…I don’t want that thing ANYWHERE near me, so you’ll be able to find me in the single rider for Everest over and over again if they choose to watch. We might even head out to check out the Conservation Station? Is there anything really out there?? Bahah.

And of course, there’s no way we’re going to Animal Kingdom without seeing Festival of the Lion King. Heck, I’ll probably go there instead of Flights of Wonder, and depending on time, we might even watch it more than once today!

Heck yes! *cue the crying*

Ugh. So much emotion. #dying

As you can see, today will be super relaxing. We’ll probably grab a snack somewhere in there, but with a late breakfast and a big dinner coming up, we don’t want to spoil our appetites! The other big thing that I want to actually get to today is Mickey’s Jamin Jungle Parade!! AND, if it’s up and running by Sept, I’ll probably take a stab at the Wilderness Explorer’s thing they have planned, it seems pretty cool!

I have been wanting to see the parade again for a while now, it’s been since Sept ’11!! We stayed the entire day to watch it, then all the trips after that I was either solo, come April and we just didn’t care, last Sept we had MNSSHP both days, and then in February I was all excited to see it again, and got talked into an audition, bahahaha.

When we’re finished up, or when the time comes, we’ll hop on a bus over to Fort Wilderness!

Guessed where our ADR for tonight is yet?!

Congrats go out to: Courtney, Mel, MagicalMerida, and Rob for catching the sangria hint!

We’re headed towards the Hoop De Doo!!

I’ve done the Hoop before, and definitely enjoyed it! The show may be a little cheesy, but there’s more to it than Spirit of Aloha, and I liked it better overall! The food was amazing, corn bread, ribs, chicken, potatoes!

YUM! The all you can drink sangria doesn’t hurt either….ahaha

Hopefully there won’t be any shenanigan style dismeets afterwards at the Poly this time…

With the show over, we’ll head back to the resort most likely, there won’t be much else to do after. Tonights another DTD option I guess, and depending on DHS’s schedule, this will be the only other time for a second Fantasmic viewing, so we might head over there, it’s kinda up in the air what will happen afterwards!

Must Do’s of the Day:
-Sleep in!
-FOTLK
-Nemo Show
-Jamin Jungle Parade

Hint for tomorrow’s ADR: we are at Epcot, we are having lunch in World Showcase, and it’s a new place to eat for each and every one of us! It’s also a favorite among other people!

Ph Poop! I should have known! But for some reason (even though we are going this time) I tend to forget about it having the sangria!

Good plans for your day though. I am not the biggest fan of AK, I like it, but its not a Must Do for me. Maybe because I grew up biking distance from the Calgary Zoo, and we use to go all the time so the animals do not thrill me. But its still a really nice park.

On a side note... I am driving to Calgary in 2hrs.... stop over to our BC trip!

Awe, so close!!

Thats totally fair! Im not big on the animal part, heck, i havent been on the safari the past like, 4 trips! :p however FOTLK and EE and the atmosphere just win out for me!!

Ah!! How awesome!!

SLEEPING IN??!!! Blasphemy.
Ah just kidding, on longer trips it's ok. We did the same last October to break things up a bit. Of course by sleeping in it moreso means just getting a little later start and relaxing a bit.

I hear the Conservation Station has goats!!

Hoop De Doo :woohoo:

Hmmm for the next ADR I'm going with a taste of Italy and Via Napoli... final answer. :)

Because I'm like you and always going going going on Disney trips because I'm afraid I'll miss something, I second the "sleeping in is acceptable one day" idea. You'll crash if you don't, especially if you're traveling with people who don't want to go at the same speed as you the whole time. Which I'm pretty sure will happen on our trip in Oct ;) I'll be the person up super early, walking out the door and saying "I'll be here at this time, meet me or don't!" I don't like to wait for people, especially in Disney!

Sounds like you have a fun DAK day planned. Hope you get to see the parade! I haven't seen it in ages. Never really stayed late enough at the park.
I'll be honest...I'm not a fan of Finding Nemo. I've tried so hard to like it and I just can't. The puppets/people just distract me and I don't enjoy it. Plus, those benches are the most uncomfortable benches on the planet!

Ok for my ADR guess...I was thinking Biergarten but I can't remember if you've been there or not. Oh well I'll go with that for now

Ahahaha, I know right?!!? And hey, sleeping in for me usually means like, getting into the park for 10am, but I wouldn't be surprised if we take a little late start, maybe swim or something in the morning!

Ahaha, it sure does! I'll take some selfies like Lia if we get out there!! Hhaha, okay, vote taken down!

Oh my gosh, I know. I'm usually okay just going all day every day, but last Sept, when it became a two week trip, with two different people, so it was one trip, twice in a row, I crashed, I don't think I'd ever been that tired! But I know Mom and Anne will need the sleep, and I should probably take it too! Ahaha, that's definitely me! I have yet to do it on a Disney trip, but I'm sure I would if my friends weren't being speedy enough!

I haven't seen it in so long as I've always had other stuff to do. Before the parade audition in June I watched it on youtube again and as I remembered, it wasn't that exciting, but hey, youtube doesn't really do justice! Hopefully it'll be great! Ahahaha, Nemo deserves a second chance from me, but who knows how that will turn out!?

Ahaha, okay, I'll write that down and let me know if it changes!

Wha??? Sangria??? No one told me that! Sigh, sounds like a great choice.

Sleeping in is okay sometimes, I am NOT a morning person, so it's really hard for me to get up, even at Disney, even if I went to bed early. But I do it, for Disney. The nice thing about September is that the parks mostly don't open until 9!

I didn't see the Nemo show last time, but did see FOTLK, so I am definitely going to try Nemo this time.

Sleeping in is always a good plan. I planned some of that for us too so we'll see how well we manage to stick to it. :rotfl:

I thought Nemo was ok when we saw it but that's really it, just ok. I would see it again but I definitely wouldn't consider it a must-do for us.

:rotfl2: We only went on Kali once on our first trip and before we got on, we were laughing at everyone with ponchos. Then when we got off, we wished we were those people!

You can meet Rafiki over at the conservation station! We really want to see them doing a procedure on an animal but I think you have to go there early for that so we'll see how that goes.

Yay Hoop-Dee-Doo! Hm, I feel like the top 3 restaurants I hear people like in the WS are Le Cellier, Chefs de France and Via Napoli. I know you've eaten at Le Cellier before and I think you've done Chefs? Although you may have done Via Napoli too..... Hmm......I'm gonna go with Via Napoli.

it was a pretty awesome option! I love all the sangria, ahaha, makes for a good evening!

Disney is pretty much the ONLY place I'll get up early, like, crack of dawn early. I'll get up at like, 9am at home but that's just too early somedays!

Haha, and see, I'm still at EMH every morning I can ahaha.

Nemo's on my list for trying for sure this time, but if it was to come down to a choice between it and FOTLK, FOTLK is winning for sure!

Hahaha, yeah, like, I kow I'm planning on sleeping in, but I'll probably still be programmed to wake up at like, 8. Hence why I said take the time for breakfast and maybe even a swim!

Definitely not a must do for us, but since we've got two days at AK and enough time to accomplish all that stuff, we may as well check it out1

HA! Best story!

That'd be totally awesome!! I'm sure we'll venture over there but who knows what we'll end up doing!

Hahahaha, okay, vote taken down!

Well, I only missed one point while I was gone. I would have gotten it too, I'm so looking forward to the sangria when we go to HDDR in October! When we went in 2010 I wasn't feeling well and I skipped drinking that night. :sad2: Hopefully that won't happen again.

Your DHS day sounds wonderful. I think you can do RnRC. I really isn't as bad as it looks, the start is over before you know it. And it's pretty short so if you do hate it, it doesn't last long. ::yes::

I love the Hidden Mickey! I tend to see them everywhere too and drive the people I'm with nuts. :rotfl:

That Gaston doll is just scary! :scared1:

I did not care for the Finding Nemo show the one time I've seen it. I just thought it was ok and the seats in there are hard and uncomfortable.

I would definitely skip the bird show since you are afraid of birds. I don't think there is anywhere you can sit and avoid them because they fly over the audience. I like your plan of lots of rides on EE or an extra FOLK if they decide to see that one.

Ok, now for my guess for your next ADR. My first thought was Chefs De France but I'm pretty sure I remember you eating there. So instead I'm going to go with Via Napoli.

Aw man, so close!! Haha, the sangria is pretty delicious! I just love that it's all you can drink, but they do it in a style where things don't get messy! Hahha!

Ahahahaha, yeah, we'll see how I'm feeling on my DHS day :rolleyes1

Yeah, I'll give it a second chance, but it's not something I think I'll end up doing a bunch of...

Mom wants to do new things, and it'll give them the chance to just hang out, I'm sure they'll end up doing it and I'll occupy myself somehow..lawl.

Vote taken into account!

Subbing!!! I totally loved your Derp TR and I just found this one. Yay!!

I absolutely love your disney bounding- so clever!

I wish you the best of luck at all your future auditions, you have the passion and the fire to make it girl!

My husband, daughter and our best friends and their son will be there this September from the 14th-19th!! We are celebrating our daughters third birthday on the 17th at CRT, BBB and MNSSHP! Eek!!! God I want to my daughter, lucky kid lol.

Looks like we will both be at AK on the 15th. Our plans are (because I just have to share them lol)

Arrive 14th & check into BLT: MK, plaza for dinner
15th: AK, Ohana Dinner
16th: Epcot, Le Cellier Dinner
17th: CRT pre rope drop breakfast, break for DD in the afternoon, 5pm BBB for her first princess makeover, MNSSHP!
18th: DHS, 50s PTC lunch
19th: Check out (cry), CM breakfast (our first time there as well)

You will LOVE POFQ, we absolutely fell in love with the resort last year and I don't think I can ever stay an any other mods! It's so pretty and just perfect! Loved the size, the grounds are so nice and every CM there was super helpful (our mousekeeper hugged us on check out day).

Sorry for the novel post, I'm just so excited!

Hey folks, hope your Friday's going MAGICAL!! :cool1::dance3::grouphug:

In terms of Katt news: Paige and I had an adventure day on Monday where we went to the costume shop and I finally found a new Tinkerbell costume for MNSSHP with my Mom and Anne as the Rapunzel maker STILL hasn't replied to me! We then spent the afternoon shopping and trying to find some Disneybounding stuff for me for Sept, but no luck so far! I'm still struggling to find Tigger, Gaston, and a yellow skirt for Snow! UGH!

Tyler, from way back in the trip reports, and I finally met up for lunch and to talk about stuff/catch up. He's got a new job working as a chef downtown, and has an interview with the Fairmount hotel! :woohoo: We talked a bit about him coming down for a few days at the end of my trip, but I don't think that will end up working out!

Tuesday I also got to go back to DANCE! EEEEEEKKK:yay: It was super awesome and I miss it so much, and thank goodness for muscle memory or I would've blanked on some of those routines! :rolleyes1 Hopefully I'll have enough money to continue to take classes and compete in October, but we'll see how that goes!

And speaking of money, I've FINALLY gotten myself a day job! A place that seriously only needs me for lunches, and I'll be out by two pm, which is GREAT. It gives me more than enough time to get to the gym and then to my nighttime job! It's my first shift today, but I'm sure it'll be easy and fun enough!

Sorry I don't have any pictures for today! I don't have a whole lot of time! We're all super excited for the Disney trip, and I cannot wait to do all the dismeets that we have planned. I'm waiting on that Mickey mail anyday!

OH! One thing you're sure to hear about when I get to June's trip on my Audition TR, is about my stuff I bought at Basin! Finally got it the other day and I'm so incredibly happy with how my skin feels, so if you ever feel like buying stuff from there, just do it!

Alright, I'm off, got lots to do! Remember to get your votes in for the next ADR!!

:cheer2:

Thank you! Glad that you're here!!

Ah!! Looks like we'll be at AK the same day, as well as Epcot, Mk on the seventeenth and MNSSHP that night. Then we check out the same day!

Lots of time for meet ups!! I know there's a bunch of people that'll be at mnsshp that night too, yay!!

All caught up! Voting for Via Napoli for your ADR.

Good luck at your new job!

Good luck with the new job, hope it goes well! And with extra income you can go on more Disney trips! :rotfl:

Yay for a new job! I hope it goes well!

I forgot the last clue for the ADR game.

Congrats on the new job and going back to dance!

I look forward to hearing about Basin, I was thinking of heading there on my first night to get some bath salts so we can take care of our poor footsies before bed each night.

Too bad you haven't had too much disneybound shopping success.

I'm there a few days before you and I haven't got my Mickey Mail yet either. I'm hoping it's because they're waiting to include magic bands pixiedust:

Congrats on the new job! That sounds like a perfect scenario for what you need!

And yay for going back to dance!

Glad you got your costume sorted out!

I totally hear you on not having enough time! I don't know where the days go BUT it's also exciting because today is our 45 day mark for September :cool1:

All caught up! Voting for Via Napoli for your ADR.

Excellent!! AHH <--That's my excitement to read all about your trip, I'm really looking forward to reading all of the adventures and the fun that you guys and Maddie had!! AH

Thanks! I've just been food running/expoing the past two days, but it's helped in getting to know how things run and I'll actually get a section tomorrow haa!

Good luck with the new job, hope it goes well! And with extra income you can go on more Disney trips! :rotfl:

Thank you!! It's been going pretty good! Ha! As much as I'm all "more disney money!" it's more " now I can make a savings and then when I get a disney job I actually have the money to move down there/buy a car etc" Hahaha

Yay for a new job! I hope it goes well!

I forgot the last clue for the ADR game.

Thank you! I'm glad it's just lunches so I still have time to get to the gym and don't have to be too worried about being worn out! Here's the hint:

we are at Epcot, we are having lunch in World Showcase, and it’s a new place to eat for each and every one of us! It’s also a favorite among other people!
