The tour looks great. We have decided to hold off for a bit on that one.

Good job on the price! We booked and it was $807! But we were able to use our Westjet card and my flight was only $99 with the compainion flight, and then we paid for over 600 on DH with reward $$! Sometimes it pays to use those!

Awesome prices for flights. The ones for my October trip aren't too bad but since I'm still not 100% sure that the trip is going to happen, I'm kind of holding off a bit. Everything is looking great at the moment but I won't know for sure till probably the end of August. I hate not knowing!

Probably, and I'm okay with that, POTC is a fave of mine, but I do miss JC. I'm so excited for the tour, though we all know that by then I'll be working there, right?

It was pretty great at the end of our May trip when we were talking about the parade auditions we were all "well, now we know thaat the other person isn't a huge creeper we can share a hotel next time!" We're at the Quality Inn and Suites at Entry Point Blvd!

I second that about your "cheap" flight! Omg can't imagine paying that much to go to Orlando. We paid $180 roundtrip last September! Gotta love JetBlue

Totally jealous of your Disney movie marathon...I've been wanting to watch Hercules for some reason. Hmmm maybe I'll do that tomorrow considering its supposed to be raining all day. again. This northern NY weather is killing me!

Thank you!!! Aw man, I wish flights were that cheap from Canada. I've even looked into bussing down into the states and flying from there to get it cheaper but that doesn't even work as no busses go anywhere to the states from Calgary.

Oh my gosh, we've gotten nothing but rain over the past few weeks, even if it's sunny when I get up, by the time I have to leave for work it's storming and continues to be raining forever! Awesome! Vote taken down!

Hi folks! Thanks for staying patient while I've been workign thrings out! First off, I was on my way to Florida on Wed and my computer wouldn't turn on! So I figured I didn't have time to waste on it while I was down there and would deal with it when I got home.

Then came the floods.

If any of you have seen Rockadoodle...it's like that...and apparently this morning Chanticleer came to crow, but then decided Vegas was cooler and he liked it better there as we're set for another four days of rain/thunderstorms this week. And the rivers are still crazy high. All of downtown is completely flooded still and I'm still evacuated. Hopefully I will be able to return Monday, but who knows!

Day 3-> Friday Sept 13​

Welcome to the next full day of our Pre Trip Report Folks!! I’m excited to say that we’ll be heading down to my second favorite park today! And once again, it will be an Extra Magic Hour Morning day!!

If you haven’t figured it out yet, we’ll be headed to a world of nature and adventure today, over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!





I’ll be totally okay if we are slowly making our way into the park because I know there’s a ton to look at, and I know I’ve missed a lot of the detailing in the past, even with the amount that I do take in, baha. We will however be following the rope walk over to Asia to start off the morning with a big ole dose of ADRENALINE!



Because really, what better a way to wake yourselves up than exploring the Himalayans and running away from a fearful yeti?! I’ll be sure to tell Anne that my Mom rode it 3 times in a row last year, and that is definitely what I suggest, HOWEVER, I’ll be okay with it if they only ride twice, once of course in the very front, and once in the back! Best rides ever!



I will probably end up riding again while the other two take a break and take some pictures! Once we’ve all regrouped, my guess is we’ll head over to Africa and hit up the safari, time for some animal pictures!





Since we’re there for EMH’s, I know we’ll have MORE than enough time to explore on our way over to Dinoland. Yup, you heard that right, we’re actually going over to Dinoland! Last trip Mom and I skipped Dinosaur, and all the rest, so we’ll definitely hit up the big ride if not some of the smaller carnival type ones they have over there, and definitely take the time for tons of photo ops along the way!





Once the time hits 10:00am, we’ll be in the clump that has formed to go into Camp Minnie Mickey, but we will not be some of the folk going in for characters, oh heck no, we’ll be headed in for my all time favorite, and something that Mom enjoyed a lot last time. Actually, it finished and she turned to be and asked “can we watch that again?!” Like Mother like daughter I tell ya.





Seriously, did you think we’d be going anywhere else?! I’m guessing that Anne will really enjoy this one too. There’s something about being a performer that makes you enjoy stuff like this more, and with them both being gymnasts I’m sure that they’ll love the tumble monkey stuff. Ugh, my ONE TRUE LOVE.

Again, it was an early morning, so we’ll probably grab some lunch next! Since I’m big on trying new places, and I’m such a child and totally want the sandpail lunch kit thing, I’m leaning toward Restaurantosaurus for lunch. The mac and cheese hot dog also sounds majorly delicious….but I’m also down for Flame Tree BBQ to try the ribs/chicken!





It’ll probably only be about noon by the time we finish lunch, and that will honestly be the time we’ll be leaving the park. I know that our Magic Kingdom day will have really taken it out of everyone, and we’ll be back to AK before you know it, so don’t worry about everything we missed.

Lunch in our bellies, it’ll be time to head back to the resort, take a nap, swim in the pool, explore everything, you know the drill. Jen and family also gets into WDW that afternoon, and they’re staying over at Port Orleans Riverside, so chances are we’ll (or at least I will) head over to explore that side of the resort and say hello!





Pretty cool pool if I don’t say so myself! After a nice break and some relaxing, I’ll give Mom and Anne some ideas of things they can do that evening, Downtown Disney, Boardwalk, the restaurant/lounge over at Riverside, etc. And stay tuned, because I’m headed off on my own grand adventure for the evening!!

In case you were wondering what my adventurous and solo plans for the evening were, well, they involve the Magic Kingdom! And tonight, well, it will be for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!!

I will probably head into the part around 6 or even 7:00 pm when things really get festive! I don’t know exactly what will be happening with this party yet. Originally all of us were going to attend two parties, but Mom and Anne decided that they’d only do one to have more energy, totally fair. I was considering dropping the second one from my schedule, but when I had dinner with Jess, Miranda, Mark and Jess’s mom in May, they were all adamant that I go, even if I was solo! Miranda also lives down there and said that she would be around for the party and probably be there, so I’ll have a buddy if I wanted as well! Plus I know it’d be relatively easy to find a friend from tumblr/twitter to go with instead of being solo! ETA: I've found a new friend! We met up over this past week, he came to Ohana with us and we're going to check out MNSSHP together, yay!

Go watch it… I’m going to go watch it right now… it gets me SO EXCITED for MNSSHP, it captures the feel of it perfectly. AH! I’m super excited for tonight. I will be dressing up, tonight the costume will be made by Shannon, (thank yoooouuuuu) and it will in some way be related to the costume I had last year when I went with Mom! (though that is a kind of hard hint haha) Any guesses?! (facebook friends, NO CHEATING! Lawl)

My main goals for tonight will include meeting characters, definitely including Flynn and Rapunzel, because, who could skip them?! I’ll probably end up doing that first thing!



Obviously I’ll be checking out a Villains Mix and Mingle or two and grabbing some meet and greets after that as well.



Hallowishes will be on the to do list



And of course Boo To You!!





I’ll try to meet some other characters, and of course if there’s any related to my costume I’ve got to stop in to see them, which means Tink will be on the list! (another hint!)



I’ll probably trick or treat a little bit and just kinda hang out taking everything in. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s lots of show/parade videoing tonight to balance out with the other night?

I know I’ll probably be super tired, so I’ll stay as long as I can, but once I’ve accomplished what I want to, and got some good memories, I’ll be headed back to Port Orleans to catch some sleep before getting up bright and early, again!

So sorry about all the floods, i haven't had a TV for a week because i was away, so i havent heard about them but im glad you're safe.
I have always wanted to go to the Halloween party for the main purpose of meeting Flynn Rider. I am actually in love with him!!!
