A Not So Scary September Birthday Celebration of Magic! Updated 9/23!!

Hey team!!

Just figured I'd drop in and say hello and update you on life! It's been a pretty good week this past bit with some fun adventures!

First off; I got the Magical Express stuff all sorted out for September so we're all ready to go and I'm excited to get the Mickey Mail sometime soon!!

I also finally bought a cork board to display all the pins I had either bought or traded for that I wanted to keep!

Yay!

Then; as some of you know, it was my birthday on Tuesday!! I got to actually go to a ballroom class and was so incredibly happy to temporarily be back! I also had a group of friends get together for some Olive Garden food and drinks, and Jenna bought me dessert, which was pretty much beignets!!

On Tuesday the group of friends have been off playing baseball, so I ventured with them to the field to watch and hang out with for a few hours before some campfire and hot tubing at a friends house!

It was a great time had by all!!

Hopefully your week is going great too, and reminder that I'll be posting Day two and the next ADR stuff on NEXT Friday to give everyone a little more time!

I'll be there solo 9/4-9/14. I'm doing MNSSHP on 9/10 and 9/13. I'm dying to wear the super awesome Rapunzel dress from the Etsy store where you bought your Alice costume, but I feel like it'd be super awkward being alone in a princess dress.

Awesome!! You should do it! I'll be at the party on the 13th! We could definitely meet up and hang out together?! I get the feeling though, I'm getting a Rapunzel one for the other party MOm and Anne are coming to and just didn't feel comfortable in that costume alone haha

Joining in! I've lurked on a few of your TR's but for some reason never joined! I'm currently reading your November solo TR, because I'm thinking of doing my first solo trip this year, but I don't know...I'm scared to sleep in the room alone! Anyway, just wanted to say hi and I'm excited to read about your plans!

Congrats on getting to go to the audition in June! My dream is to work for Disney someday, not as a performer, but in the resorts. I wish I did the DCP, but I didn't, so I guess I'll just have to move to Florida and start at the bottom and hope I can transfer into the resorts someday! I'm glad you are following your dream to be a parade performer, or in the shows! Being in FOTLK would be amazing!! Seeing that show makes me wish I didn't give up dancing in high school lol!

Your day 1 plans look great! POFQ's rooms have been updated, they now have this beautiful purple bedding! I'm hoping to stay there in December!

Glad you're here and out of lurkdom! Going solo is great! I've done it many times, and I definitely get the not wanting to sleep alone in a room. I never had any concern when I was at the Poly, indoor hallways, quiter resort, I just felt safer. I didn't like CSR at all, I was way too far off in the corner for my liking and being solo. The all stars have not a lot of sound proofing, so they're pretty loud and it can be unnerving at points when it sounds like someone's right outside your room when they're not, but it's awesome!

You should definitely still try to get some work with Disney, they've got so many oppertunities for careers and jobs! I know if I ended up not being in a show/character, I'd still love to be a character attendant, or work anywhere on Main Street haha. There's so much cool stuff you get to do!

Happy birthday again! Great pins. I need to buy a cork board too, to put into the shadow boxes that I bought (so annoyed that they didn't come with the corkboard in the first place, especially since one really looked like it did. Ugh)

Yay for getting to dance ballroom again. I'm really in love with salsa dancing these days.

Happy Birthday! Your pins are so cute, I've never gotten into pin trading, but I did buy a few on my last trip and I can see how it's addictive lol! They're so expensive!!! I do trade Vinylmations though, another expensive hobby, and I'm so sad that they got rid of a lot of the trading locations!

Thank you! Ah boourns they didn't come with them. I had just been super cleaning my room and realized I needed something to put the pins on display again! Yay! I haven't done salsa, but it seems like it would be fun!

I definitely bought a giant amout of pins on ebay for $30! That's the way to do it! Much cheaper! Awesome!! I'd vote Pop, haha, but I haven't done POR yet, Pop is just home! Lawl. Awesome!!!

Love your pin board. I got a pin case from Ebay that holds 100 pins. Figured it would take me years to fill it up with Pluto pins but it's already over half full! I think I'm going to have to just get a pin book and just display favorites.

Oh Beignets, yum! I didn't think I'd like them because they are not chocolate but I recently tried them at a local New Orleans restaurant and they were delicious!

To funny! Well I have to say I loved Calgary, more then Edmonton, but I only have to drive through it, and well... its always construction! I grew up in the Forest lawn area but have lived in a lot of different parts of the city. DH was from the SW side! We are down often, next is the Relay for Life!

Camrose is amazing, I love it. Big enough we have the ammenities of the city, but small enough you can drive across it in a matter of minutes!

Day 2-> Thursday Sept 12​

Today is a very important day! It’s our first full day in Disney, and our first day in the PARKS! Yayaya!! It will also be a very early morning for us, I’m figuring we’ll eat a small/quick breakfast in the room and then grab coffee on the way to the bus stop, and we’ll probably be seeing the sun in its early hours on our way down!



“Hello everyone, and welcome aboard the Walt Disney World transportation system!” You best have read that in your best Motor Coach Man voice! We’ll be on our way to my personal favorite park today;



I know I have a picture of the newly painted sign, but I’m far too lazy to dig through my photobucket account right now, so that’s what you’re getting haha!! When I originally planned this trip, I simply threw down what parks I wanted on what days, only taking MNSSHP into consideration. Then when I checked park hours and crowd calendars, they were all exactly what worked! Yay!

Magic Kingdom does have AM Extra Magic Hours this morning, so we’ll be there for before 8:00 hits as there is no more of a magical way to start a Disney trip than watching the rope drop show!



Before we know it, we’ll be leaving today and transported in a land of Fantasy, Adventure, Tomorrow and more!



And cue the crying….. not even kidding. I hopefully will be doing a trip video this time around, so you’ll actually get to witness the shenanigans that go on, and I’m guessing the first walk down Main Street will be included!

Since the EMH’s only have Fantasyland and Tomorrowland open, we’ll most likely head over to Fantasyland first, and do the “Old” Fantasyland rides like Peter Pan’s Flight, Small World, Winnie the Pooh, Phillharmagic and playing around in there!



Next of course will be some fun in Dumbo Land…errr..I mean, Storybook Circus, where we’ll introduce Anne to coasters on the Barnstormer, and maybe even reminisce our childhood’s and ride Dumbo!



This won’t take that long, so we can head over to Tomorrowland and accomplish some stuff over there like battling Zurg to save the Universe, taking a relaxing ride through Tomorrowland, and of course blasting off through Space on a ride that will be brand new to my Mom! Bahaha







I’m guessing that it will still be around the EMH “hour” now, but I also know Mom will be itching to see something new, and I’ll be wanting to show off my new love, NEW Fantasyland! Mom did say she was pretty excited about this, and I’m going to make sure Anne and her watch Beauty and the Beast before the trip so they really “get” it all.

Depending on the wait time for Enchanted Tales, I’ll probably suggest at least walking through the expansion while it’s still empty so we can really get a look at it, and then returning to go through the adventure with Belle!









Who knows if any of us will get involved in the little play they do, I wouldn’t be surprised if one of us ends up up there! Haha. By the time we’re done it’ll definitely be past 9:00 am, so we’ll take a little walk past the Rapunzel bathrooms, and over into Frontierland, time for the wash and spin cycles!





So excited for Splash!! IEEEEKK!! Hopefully Anne likes it, cause it’s only a taste of what’s to come in terms of thrill rides!! With Frontierland done, we’ll continue on our Adventure and brave some pirates, cruise through the jungle, and who knows what else!?



I’m guessing lunch will be a relatively early one due to just snacking in the room, or we’ll end up with a nice snack half way through the morning. Of course we’ll end up back tracking into FLE to meet some characters, and of course, hit up the Little Mermaid ride!












Who knows where lunch will take place, last year Mom and I ate at Tortuga’s, which I really like, but I know she wants to try different things, so we might head to Cosmic Rays, whichever is closest to us, right?! Hahah.

And since this will probably be the longest of the first couple days of vacation, I’m going to end this update here, and continue it in the next one!!

After lunch we of course will have tons of time to hit up old favorites and things we had missed in the past! Characters of course will need to be met, including some of my personal favorites!







That picture’s just too adorable to not include! Since Mom got pulled into a very special dance party by Timon last trip, we’ll definitely be making a stop for the Move It Shake It Celebrate it! And definitely be partaking in the dancing! Hopefully Paige and I’s stilts friend will be there too! Bahha Usually there’s a showing of Dream Along with Mickey right before it starts, so that’ll be watched as well!!





Before the parade we still have a bit of time, we’ve got some stuff that we missed last trip, and Mom mentioned to me last week “we’re gonna do new stuff, right?” so we’ve got to try out some of these!

That’s seriously it that we didn’t do last time, with the exception of Stitch’s Great Escape and the Speedway. By all means, if Mom and Anne want to do either, they can, but I’ll be waiting on the sidelines, bahaha.

At 3:00 of course we’ll grab a spot for the parade, and hey, it’ll probably be snack time, so let’s grab a Mickey bar while we wait!!







With the parade being over, there will be one character meet left that I have to do…duh…



Since Naveen’s only out after the parade, it’s usually a must wait kinda thing, it just makes the meet and greet way better, whether it’s the friend of Naveen’s that I know, or not. I find the interaction is better when there’s two of them!

The next little bit we’ll just relax, people watch, take an in park break, or, if we did that earlier, catch up on anything else we wanted to do. Either way, today will be a very relaxing day, I do want to definitely accomplish everything in Fantasy and Tomorrowland, really utilize that extra magic hour in the morning. Aside from that, we’ll be taking it slow as I know we’ll be back later in the week!

However we do have dinner booked, and congrats to those who guessed it right, (Courntey, Belle032, Merida, Rob, Disneyluvr81, Shannon and Ariana!) we’re at Be Our Guest for dinner tonight! I’ll be in contact with Shelly, and if she’s working hopefully we’ll end up with her as our server as she’s amazing!







Yum!! I’ve promised myself I’m going to try something new for dinner this time, and Mom is most excited for this. I’m just super excited because walking into this restaurant is truly like walking into the movie, it’s just incredible and I can’t wait to share it with Mom and Anne! I know that dinner here usually takes a good chunk of time, but that’s more than okay, it’ll be a nice break from being out in the heat, and we’ll have a nice visit with Shelly!

After dinner is finished, we’ve got the Main Street Electiral Parade at 9:00pm, followed by Wishes at 10:00, meaning that I’m sure Celebrate the Magic is at 9:45. It’ll be Mom’s first time seeing Celebrate the Magic, and of course, Anne’s first time seeing everything.







MSEP is cute, and I like it, but I won’t go out of my way to see it, but since we’ve got a first timer here, we’ll obviously go for it. Celebrate the Magic I absolutely LOVE, and tear up at the part with Rapunzel’s lanterns and pretty much lose it at the “it was all started by a mouse” bit with Walt. Wishes, well, it’s wishes, dreams coming true and all that jazz, I love it, it makes me insanely happy, and I’m very excited to be watching it with Mom and Anne!

With Wishes over, we’ll join the hoards of people headed to the bus stop as it will have been quite the day for us, and we’ll be beyond ready for bed!!


Since we have another practically full day and a half in Magic Kingdom, I’m going to say that the must do’s for today will be Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and the shows/parades, along with Splash and Big Thunder. Focus on the headliners, and the one side of the park, and the characters in there, specifically the princesses today! It’ll definitely be different to take it slow today!

The day will be posted by Friday June 21!!
