Hollywood...1939...amidst the glitz and the glitter of bustling young movie town in the height of its golden age The Hollywood Tower Hotel was a star in its own right, a beacon for the show business elite. Now, something is about to happen that will change all that, the time is now, on a night very much like we have just witnessed-- Wait...this isn't Hollywood and it certainly isn't 1939...
The time is now; FOR SOME INTROS!!!

Welcome aboard this service elevat...er...PRE TRIP REPORT!! Many of you may know me already, and for those of you who don't, WELCOME! I promise you this journey wont be *quite* as terrifying as falling 13 stories through an abandoned hotel! Eeek!
Im Katt!!

I would be the Alice in that photo&and for those wondering, thats from MNSSHP last year! Lawl. Ive been a Disney lover my whole life, but was only taken to DLR when I was a young child, and then didnt return to the parks until May 2011, which is where the obsession began! I then proceeded to take a whopping 11 trips since then, many of which were funded with Annual Pass discounts! Yay! I mainly travel with friends, sometimes solo, and once with my Mom!
My favorite park is Magic Kingdom, followed closely by Animal Kingdom, it just doesnt get enough love! Main Street is easily my favorite land, although the New Fantasyland is pretty close behind. I love falling down elevator shafts, playing games alongside toys, watching my favorite Muppets, facing off against a yeti, and falling into the briar patch. I just recently braved the regions of outer space, and actually have never rocked along with Aerosmith (well see if that happens this time around). My favorite characters include: Tinkerbell, Periwinkle, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Lottie!
When Im not at Disney, Im bartending at your local dinner theater up here in Calgary, Alberta Canada, and ballroom dancing. Ive got a history with ballet and jazz as well, and have just recently gotten back into them in hopes of achieving my goals to become a Disney performer! I can actually pinpoint the moment that dream happened, WAY back in 1997, I went to Disneyland with my Mom, and there was a Lion King parade. We happened to sit down beside an older couple whos daughter was in the parade, and because we started chatting, when the point in the parade came to give guests instruments to play and dance along with, I got to play the instrument that their daughter gave out. There, that was it, the moment that it all began. Since then, Ive attended a bunch of Disney auditions, ranging from Character performer, to parade performer to character look alike, and even one for Hong Kong Disneyland! Theyve all been an incredible experience, but the *one* hasnt happened yet, so were keeping our fingers crossed.
BUT, enough about me, lets move on to who else is part of this trip:

My MOM! Yay! Also known as Ann, she was fortunate enough to be able to take me to DLR as a child, and had grown up watching Disneyland on TV. After my first trip to Disney World, I knew I needed to take her there, and before I even got home, was planning all the awesome things we could do! Shes retired now, and since has been doing a ton of traveling with her sister, their first big trip being to Africa, and she loves all things Africa.
Last Christmas, I surprised her with a trip down to Disney world for her birthday in September, with a stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge with a savannah view, and we even lucked out at got free dining! However, there will be more of that later! I soon started talking to her about returning this year, and she agreed! From what I can assume from our last trip, she loved AKL (duh, who wouldnt?!) and Animal Kingdom! Toy Story Mania was a hit for her, along with the stage shows, and especially Festival of the Lion King, which is HANDS DOWN my favorite too, so its good that we agree on things! She was even brave enough to say sure, Ill go on it to every ride that I went on! Mom braved Tower of Terror multiple times, and rode Expedition Everest 3 times in a row first thing in the morning!
When we started talking about a return trip, we started talking about making it a group thing, as she has a friend on her gymnastics team that has always wanted to go, but her husband hates crowds. Obviously, she was meant to come with us! So now, I introduce to you: Anne

Shes on the right hand side in the red. Im assuming that this is a picture from their gymnastics teams trip over to Europe for the International Gymnaestrada a few years back.
I wont lie, I dont know much about her, but that Mom has loved traveling with her on gym trips, and shes the adventurous one of the group that actually wants to go do things rather than just sit on the beach, so thats a good thing! Her birthday is the last day of our trip, and Moms is Sept 2nd so the whole trip will be a birthday celebration of extravagant proportions!
For your viewing pleasure, heres a simple shot of their gym team:

Pretty awesome, I know. Mom used to do gymnastics as a child, and of course, put me in when I was little. I swapped back and fourth through artistic and rhythmic, did some dancing, and even ended up in cheer leading near the end. I traveled across Canada and over to Portugal for events, and when I was all done with it, Mom started up again in rhythmic as they had just started an adults team. Once she was old enough, she joined the Dynamos which is the team their on now, an all seniors team that is totally awesome and rocks the socks off anyone whos watching!
With this TR I plan on doing a bit of an ADR guessing game, so I'll start off by telling you that we have 8 ADR's booked currently, ever day except one has an ADR, some are at resorts, and some are at the parks. Some are old favorites, and some are new to all of us, and some are new to just Mom, it'll be a deliciously exciting trip to say the least!
Stay tuned for more!!
