A No Snooze Bar Christmas, Harry & Mickey are Waiting..it is done

No means super mom, most days I am that grumpy one that was in Three Broomsticks! I hate when I melt down like that, and I seem to do it a lot lately!:sad2:

You ladies know so much more about what is going on in my life then the people I see everyday as well as my family! I know that is sad...[/COLOR]

Hey don't worry about it! I think that all moms lose their "cool" a lot less than we think we do!:grouphug:

You know I said this too somewhere! My friends that see me weekly know a lot less about me and my personal like than you guys do- and they live right here to see me going through my mood swings and such! I told Ann in a text that we were all very lucky to find each other!

I see your post about posting something about yourself, but I think you know lots about me already and if there is anything missing that you are curious to know you may ask...
Why wouldn't they ride it? Is it like batman or superman? Those freak me out I need a seat and a floor to ride! That lost continent looks cool! I love it and all of those mythical things! I have watch finding bigfoot a few times and like that kind of stuff too!
Typical boy wanting to spend money on candy or toys! I like Ab's shoulder bag, did you tell her to bring that or buy it for her? It looks kinda like the same kind I saw Ann with and I kept thinking I should have gotten something like that! Hmmm... I am guessing mo since I am not sure where Jeff is and Ab just went to check something out!

I would love to see a picture. I am not a stuffed thing type of person...my sister on the other hand reminds me a lot of you! As I get older I find more and more that I do not like clutter!
I took a pic of them all last night and they actually take up the whole bed when there's no blankets I had to take four pics to make sure I got them all and that's not even half of my collection! :lmao::lmao: I'll post them in my trip report as soon as I load them to the comp.

We happened to be seated right next to the broomsticks...they are located in the entry between Hogs Head and Three Broomsticks. I caught the detailing on the chimeny on my prior trip...yes, I confess some of my pictures are from June 2010!

They're cool I never saw them before.. Great excuse to go back though. Have to find the brooms need picture :littleangel:

I followed you to this board from the Universal board. I'm planning my family's two week trip to Orlando -- 10 days at Disney, 4 at Universal -- so your report is really exciting for me to read. I've got a pretrip going (link in my signature) if you want to learn a bit more about us. :)

:cool1: I finally made it here! Been up with a sick Benny most of the night so guess what I did? Got all caught up on your report :thumbsup2 I need to get over to my TR and apologize for being such a slacker, life and 2 broken laptops have gotten in the way of me finishing up :sad2: I'm on my Kindle right now which is a pain in the butt to type on so my comments may be brief. Loving all of your report so far, awesome reveal, making me think maybe I'll do another surprise trip! Loving the IOA stuff, I've promised the kids we would go next year. Trying to convince DH to go this summer to just Universal, IOA and Seaworld but he's not going for it! Can't wait for more, kinda glad I was behind, your cliffhangers would have been killing me:rotfl:

Hey Tammie:goodvibes

I've been out of town and away from a computer for days (cruise to Mexico:cool1:)
anyway....just read through everything I missed and feel all caught up now so you can move along now with more updates:laughing:

I hear you. Alexa is in that terrible three's age full blown. I either feel like im pulling my hair out or being a bad mom my spanking her little booty or putting her in time out. My child is very smart, so telling her or asking her something 5 times even for a 3 year old is just pushing the "lets see how far I can get away with this with mommy" button.

You ladies know so much more about what is going on in my life then the people I see everyday as well as my family! I know that is sad...

I'm going to post on these two together. I completely agree with you two. When Buddy and I started discussing the Navy, I literally talked to him and then posted to you ladies on our page. I have a really close best friend, but I just felt like I needed to talk to you all first.

I feel like there are so many people following along and I have not gotten the chance to get to know you! I have really focused on the TR not being too personal, because I think that most people following along really want to know about the trip!

So let's back up and let me apologize for my overlook that the personal stuff also makes things fun! I found a great group of ladies on my PTR and know that there are more friends to meet in my TR!

Please take a moment to post a little about yourself! I would so like to get to know you!
If you would rather remain a lurker, that is fine with me to. Just know that I really do appreciate having you along on my TR!

Hmm... Should I answer this one Tammie?
I guess I shall for the ones who weren't PTR lurkers for all our craziness.

I'm Ashley. A 23 year old Disney addict. 27 time WDW vet. I have a wonderful soon to be husband who I have been with for almost a decade named Buddy. We have a spoiled 3 year old little Princess named Alexa. We live in Louisiana, and I am a full time Licensed Massage Therapist with an insane work schedule. My fiance is working two jobs and currently losing weight to enlist in the U.S. Navy. I'm counting the months down to a trip with a certain group of ladies.... plus my fiance has told me I can plan a big vow renewal and two week Disney/US/Florida trip for when he gets back from his first deployment. :)

Begging, Bribing, and Crowds...Oh My!

and I began begging for someone to go on the roller coaster with me…yes, I was reduced to begging my chicken family to ride with me (I even went as far as bribing cash). But sadly no one would appease mom and ride! I knew I should have gotten them shirts with the words “Fun Haters” on them. We passed by

Can't believe they wouldn't ride with you. I'm going to have to make that shirt for Buddy when we go to Disney!

wantedposter.jpg
for Sirus Black where we stood and watched for awhile, because every few moments it changes and is animated! By this time the crowds are looking like this…

Very neat especially if it changes!

and yes Jeff has disappeared once again, sheesh do these people not understand touring plans and time tables? Ab things the Henna tattoos look cool as well as the Blue Evil Eyes, Boo spots a shop with Family Coats of Arms, Joseph discovers the fountain (which I am thankful is still turned off), and Jeff, who knows where he disappeared too!!

Eek about him disappearing again. I think we're starting to see a trend and it's only really day one!

only to discover…

CLIFF HANGER

Explosion of Christmas and Seuss

The end of the ride drops you into a candy store...

Of course it does......

3abhelpsgoo.jpg

But if she knew what he was about to do to her, I think she would have refused helping him!

Jeff forgot his sunglasses, after I reminded him before he went and parked the truck at the airport so he made a purchase and of course Goo wanted a new pair (which you will see quickly becomes my nemesis). Ab and Boo just had fun looking and trying on things…knowing that they can come back later if they really want something.

Both of those things sound very ominous.

Across from Carousel Seuss One Fish Two Fish…now I know about this ride and I am not getting on it and Ab just wants to look around…so I send the boys to do it on their own, only for them to appear 5 minutes later telling us they have to have someone 14 or older ride with them…who will that be?

CLIFF HANGER!!

Did I miss what Ab's brother did to her or was that a mid-story cliffhanger?? :rotfl2:

I'm going to guess that Ab had to ride the ride! :thumbsup2

Congrats on going back and getting your Nurse Practitioner! That is a huge thing! Ab has been looking into being an ER nurse, but I keep telling her that she should do the Nurse Pratitioner route...she has a cousin who did this...and $$$ you get the best of 2 worlds without the huge medical school costs. She would love to work for Doctors without Boarders.

I am glad you have someone who likes Disney like you...jealous of mother and son trips...that sounds like fun! DH would rather be sitting with a fishing pole somewhere (but I did get him to watch Disney Cruise DVD last week and he liked it).

Glad you are enjoying the WWofHP pictures....happy to share!

I love being a nurse and I'm super excited about becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I would encourage anyone to go into nursing that has the desire - it is such a great field. One of the big benefits for women is that there are so many different kinds of nursing jobs that you can find one to fit your life. Have kids and want to the same schedule as them - be a school nurse. Have little ones at home and want to be with them, work part-time. You can work nights, or weekends, or mon-fri. There aren't many jobs with as much flexibility. Becoming a NP is a great goal - I think it helps to be a nurse for at least a little while first (and you have to become a nurse before you can become an NP) as I'm finding my nursing experience really helpful in my schooling. Looking forward to more updates!

I will head over and check out your PTR! We did about the same length of trip...and I think I needed a vacation from my vacation. I hope you plan more down time then me.

:cool1: I finally made it here! Been up with a sick Benny most of the night so guess what I did? I am just so glad to see you back posting off and on! I really missed seeing your 3 (okay 4) and movie nights! I see you are going to DL? You are going to have to tell me how to plan a DL trip....really thinking about that for summer 2013!

Hey Tammie:goodvibes

I've been out of town and away from a computer for days (cruise to Mexico:cool1:)
anyway....just read through everything I missed and feel all caught up now so you can move along now with more updates:laughing:

I wondered where you were at...what a cruise and WDW in less than 5 months...I am green with envy!

Did I miss what Ab's brother did to her or was that a mid-story cliffhanger?? :rotfl2:

Glad someone caught my mid story cliff hanger! I thought it was quite cleaver! :lmao:

I'm going to guess that Ab had to ride the ride! :thumbsup2

My lips are sealed until I update!

I agree that nursing is a great field...my mom was a nurse! And what is good is they are in demand and flexible schedules are a great perk!

One Fish, Two Fish…Wet Sis, Mad Sis

Ab had not really been paying attention to the ride in front of her, so she volunteered to ride with Goo…yes, no bribing on my part to get her to ride she did it willingly…that will teach her to pay attention! One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is a Dumbo type ride, but with water!

9fishcenter.jpg

Basically you go up and down to the story that is narrated around you dodging the water sprayed at you by the fish. If you follow the story’s direction, you do not get wet…but if you ride with a little brother who figures out there is water involved…well you know what happens!

9wet.jpg

9boo.jpg

Ab came off the ride wet with a little brother giggling his heart out! Way to take one for the family Ab! Secretly, I think she had fun…I could see the smiles! Next we rode the Cat in the Hat…

10cat.jpg

of course Jeff is now aware of warning signs and starts reading them before he gets on a ride…sheesh this is a kid ride, get on it and like it, darn it. He of course questions the attendant who assures him that he can handle it. The ride is simple; much like Winnie the Pooh…except retelling the story Cat in the Hat…same rough twists and turns. I think we ended up riding this twice…the Express Pass line was walk on, while the regular line was a 50 minute wait! Afterwards Jeff decided he needed a bathroom and the kids wanted to check out the gift shop…while waiting we found Horton’s eggs…warning this pictures look pretty bad (100% boys)!

The kids noticed this sign,

12whoiday.jpg

and agreed with it (and I did too)! When Jeff did finally reappeared we left Seuss Landing

Howdy! I am Sarah, next week I am turning 27 (again! bwhahaha):cake: and baby girl (also an Ab,) is turning 2:cake:! The Husband and I have been married three and a half years. I found the Dis while planning our Oct 2011 anniversary trip/A's first Disney trip and stumbled across your PTR ages ago and just hung out and lurked and naturally had to stick around for the reveal then trip report.

Anyway back to me, I am a new southerner (DH is originally from the AR/TX) and our new found proximity to FL is helping fuel my love of Disney, although to be honest there is no easy way to get there from here.:car:

We have three dogs, to Papillion's and 1 Irish Wolfhound, bet you can guess which one we got after buying our first house. :rotfl:

I missed some of your updates but luvin them and all the pics! :goodvibes

Oh I love it that they had her go on! She is a good big sister and she has to act upset mom otherwise it might blow her "cool" cover:lmao:

I Need a Hero

Remember the map I forgot to pick up with show times when we made our dash to WWofHP some 5 hours ago, well now that we were back at the Port of Entry I go to get a map and as the family watches this ride....

1hulk-1.jpg

Map in hand we make our way towards Super Hero Island…

IMG_0228.jpg

a place I am sure Goo is going to love. I begin my begging for someone to ride The Incredible Hulk....

trip063.jpg

with me as we cross over the bridge and under the ride! I soon give up because no amount of begging and pleading is going to get someone to ride with me, but I do have a couple more days...so maybe I will wear them out and they will give up resisting!

I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be ready to ride...

Sorry to get sidetracked, I know some of my younguns will not get the Footloose song...but man was Kevin Bacon a hero when I was a teen. Sadly, we continue down the street through Super Hero Island, and my boys are in heaven with all the theming.

8buildings.jpg

It does remind you of a comic book come to life. I point out the Storm Force Accelerator (tea cups in the dark) but no one really wants to ride it, so we pass by. We found this neat Super Hero Car...

2car-1.jpg

and stopped for a moment to take a picture, before arriving at Dr. Doom's…I know Jeff will ride this with me, he loves these rides.

4doom.jpg

But guess what his stomach is still riding the magical broom with Harry and he declines. Really, I am now shot down on 3 rides by my family that I really want to ride! Grrr, what is with all these chickens I am traveling with? Once again defeated we continue to the next attraction…Spiderman!

5spidey.jpg

Everyone is in agreement that this is a ride what we all want to get on. Goo is so excited, because he loves Spiderman. The wait time is already at 50 minutes and Jeff is grumbling about waiting that long…until I pull out the room keys and he learns once again why we are paying so much to stay at the RPR! We hand our room keys over to be scanned and walk quickly into the Express Line entrance…yes, we do miss a lot of the theming but there is still enough to get you into the story line.

5spideyinside2.jpg

5spideinside.jpg

As we approach the loading area, we put on our 3D glasses and the boys get really excited…even more excited when we walk straight onto the ride without any wait. Jeff and the boys are seated in the front of the car, while Ab and I are behind them. Big mistake, I did not think much of the seating arrangement until after the ride…

Luvin the update. Sorry your family didn't want to go on the rides with you. I don't do any of those rides either. Small world all the way for me :)

I also saw looking back you were asking people to tell you about themselves.

You probably read it in my trip report but I'm Emma :flower3: I'm 26 (27 in a month and 2 days :) ) and from Ireland. I am a HUGE Disney fan and also a huge Westlife fan.. You prob don't know who they are they're an Irish boyband and they're fab unfortunately they claim they are splitting up this year after one last tour but I chose not to believe that. I chose to believe that they are taking an extended break and that in 5 years they will be back the same way as alot of other big boybands in this country and England have done in the past ten or so years... Anyways that's besides the point. Back to me I am a student at the moment, doing a masters in Broadcast Production and already have a degree in Music. What else? I love plushies and have so many I will soon need a new room :lmao: I'm going to post the pics of the ones from my bed in my trip report for you now in a few mins.

Any other questions feel free to ask :)

Poor thing...having a tough time getting all the chickens to do rides with you:laughing: I bet they will toughen up as the trip goes on! Poor Jeff, left his stomach back in the Harry Potter area.

Can't wait to hear more!

p.s. remember how I said I just got back from a cruise...well it was a girls trip out of Galveston for 4 nights. Sort of boring compared to Disney! Lounging around, drinking, and gambling and that's about it. The whole time I was wishing I was at Disney with the fam instead!

I'm trying to get up the nerve to ride the Hulk and Dueling Dragons. I am not a coaster fan but the boys are. I rode ToT and RnR for the fist time last June. Once I get on the ride, I usually have a blast( every coaster but ToT. Scared me all 3 times I rode it). It's just making myself get in line that is the hardest part.

my heavens! Do you know how many pages I was behind?

Thanks for sharing so many great updates! I have comments... lets see...

On Jeff disappearing.... what is up with guys? Seriously though, I suspect something is about to happen. I really hope he isn't getting lost cause he isn't feeling well.

On the meltdown at breakfast.... don't you hate that when it all flares up at one moment and even you are not innocent of losing it a tad? Then I fight being mad at myself for how I acted. Funny... I get mad.. then I am mad at myself for getting mad. Where is the logic?? :confused3

On the suess rides. I vaguely remember then from our trip. Ours was in November so quite a bit of holiday decorations were up. It is very colorful. I love that Goo got Ab wet on the One fish two fish ride :rotfl:

And... on rides... I am sorry you keep having to beg to have your family ride with you. A year of planning and hoping and then on the fly they decide that they are not in agreement with all the hard work you had done over the course of the year.... I know first hand how frustrating that can be. :goodvibes

So I am all caught up now. :woohoo: (at least with your TR)
