Wouldn't it be amazing to spend a night in the castle on your honeymoon!? When are they allowing reservations for this and where can I find more information on this. I think I read somewhere that it won't be open for reservations until after the year of a million dreams, but is there a place to this info?

I think if you go over to the YOMD board there is a thread on this!
According to the board over there, no official announcement has been made about the suite and how it will be used after YOMD.

If I won it I think they would have to revive me!

Supposedly it will NEVER be open to rent/pay for like a hotel room. The official party line is that it will only be given away, like for charity. But we'll see how long that lasts... :lmao:

When we were there in May we had dinner in the castle. While we were eating they announced that a couple had won a night in the castle. The couple were eating in the castle the same time we were. They were an older couple married for 30 years and they were walking around Epcot when they won it. The funny thing is they were not even going to go to Epcot that day but their son had told them to go there cause he knew they would love it. I was so happy for them that I was about to cry.

That is SUCH a sweet story!!!

I keep 'hoping' we'll be at the right place at the right time to stay there on our honeymoon. Although, my luck, we'd win it for the night before our wedding which wouldn't really work very well :rotfl:

I heard what Lurkyloo has. It will never be for rent. Again, plans change, but as of now that is the situation. The thinking being that it would never be a "priceless" gift if you could purchase it.

slightly off to the side here, but I wonder what the people staying in the castle think when they see a bride and groom having their pictures taken at 5 or 6AM - and if they can actually see/hear it?

I was at a staff meeting a few weeks ago with some of the YOMD officials and they say it will NEVER be for rent. But like the others have said....things change. Especially here at Disney :)

from the descriptions that people who have won have posted, all of the suite is on the back side of the castle, and while you can get light thru the windows, i think they said you can't actually see out into the park because they clean and do other maintenance at night and wouldn't want the winnng family to see.

that's a shame that you can't actually see out into the park - might not want to stay if I won now ;)

The suite will never be for rent as others have said, and I'm personally glad they aren't renting it. As much as I would love to stay there and probably would pay a pretty penny, I'm glad they won't be renting! Also, you can definitely see into the park! They are right though that the windows are only facing the back! I am sure Disney positioned the windows just right so you would see minimal cleaning, but behind the castle is visible through the windows there.
