My DD is giving birth the end of next month. (Too early 4 me to be a Grandpa!) I've planned to spend my ritual time @ WDW the end of May/Beginning of June this year. Anyone see a problem with having a 2 month old @ WDW 4 a week or two?

DD #2 was 3 months when she visitied the world!!!

The baby will actuaaly be easy probably sleeping a lot. I would be concerned about the heat. A baby under 6 months cant wear sunscreen. I would make sure the baby is completely covered, no sun exposure and I would definately avoid the parks in the midday.

I think how your DD feels about it is most important.

For me personally, I don't think I'd take a baby before about 3-4 months. If it were going to be a hot month, I'd probably wait until they were about 9 months or so. (Of course, it would be winter by then...) Traveling is stressful for anybody, and young babies are delicate. If they run a fever, it frequently involves a spinal tap, which is something you want to avoid if possible.

Will your DD be going with you? Most 2 month olds need their mommies and won't be happy if they're away from home AND away from their primary caregivers.

It's easier travelling with an infant than a toddler. We go that same time of year and it does get hot and crowded so I'd suggest doing the parks as early in the morning as you can. :D

I took DS#2 at 4 months.. put on a hat, long sleeves to protect him.. but I did spend a lot of time in the baby center nursing him and changing diapers...

Since you go to disney pretty often I'm sure you don't do a commando type of vacation at all which means it should be pretty do-able for you guys. I'd pick a good resort that I'd like to spend more time than usual at and go for it. I'd probably only do the parks in the mornings and in the evenings and stay inside during the hottest part of the day.

Took my 2ndDD at 1 month. It was easy. She basically stayed in her Snuggli. We took it slow (I was still recovering from a C-sec).
It was a hot month but it didn't matter for us since we live in Florida anyway. It was great after a complicated pregnancy where I was forbidden to travel further than an hour from home the entire time.

Kirk, just plan on taking it easy and you should be fine. Your daughter will be just getting over it all and she'll probably tire easily. You're a caring dad, I'm sure you will do just fine. :)
