I was thinking of doing a trip report but decided to share our first christmas experiences instead. To give you some background we are a 20 something couple that has visited the world 4 times this year. Yet, this was our first trip during the Holiday season. Needless to say, we were more than excited and were not dissapointed to say the least! I am hoping this will encourage those that were on the fence about going during dec, to make the trip! Here's a breakdown of what we experienced.

Epcot - The tree was very nice as well as all the decorations surrounding the area. We would have enjoyed the tree lighting ceremony more, hadn't every 6'5 father decided to put their children on their shoulders. We still had a nice time and took some pictures. The decorations around WS are just perfect. We tried to take in as much of the holiday storytelling as we could. We're hoping to finish the rest next trip! The Voices of Liberty were amazing. It was such an added bonus to have them singing christmas carols.

Illuminations - Though the night we saw the show was very cold, (even cold for a New Jersian) We still really enjoyed it. The extra "holiday" version was amazing and it will be hard to watch illuminations again without it.

Candlelight Processional - Everyone talked this up as being the "must do" christmas event in wdw. While we were impressed, I don't think it holds a candle to The Osborne Lights. (no pun intended) We thought Steven Curtis Chapman did a great job narrating and the songs were great. It just didn't give us the "chill" we thought it would.

MGM and Osborne Lights - Hands down our favorite of all the parks when it comes to decorations and vibe. The music they played was spot on. The Osborne Lights were everything we thought they would be and more. Funny thing is, we went to see the tree at Rockefeller Center a week later and were completley dissapointed. This is what WDW does to you. They go above and beyond. I helf DGF in tears listening to "White Christmas" as the "snow" fell down on the Streets of NY.

MK and MVMCP - At first we were slightly disapointed with this. While it was very slow, we didn't spend $50 for short lines. We saw wishes and the parade and started humming a different tune. This is, by far, the best parade wdw has. We were fortunate enough to actually sit on a bench, without any obstruction of our view. I can't wait to see it again christmas morning! Wishes was breathtaking. I really enjoyed how the fireworks surrounded you. Mickey's Twas the night before christmas was fun but it was very hard to see. The stage show was the last thing we saw at 1140 and it was definaltey worth the wait. There was literally 400 watching the show, which meant we had prime viewing! Mainstreet was nice when it snowed but lets not get carried away with the "free" hot chocolate and cookies. While it's a nice gesture, it was by no means the reason to go to MVMCP.

AK - The decorations were descent enough but we didn't expect much from the AK. I mean....it's the Animal Kingdom right?

Resorts - We stayed at the Boardwalk for the first time and it was a dream come true. The decorations and music were amazing. It is, by far, our favorite resort on WDW property. I just wish we could afford it every trip. The Yacht and Beach Club we decorated nicely but were not on par with the WL or Grand Floridian. WL definatley had our favorite tree out of the resorts with GF following a close second.
