On the radio this morning they said that in the Haunted Mansion the CM'S (having brain freeze, is that what they would be called?) will no longer be able to do any ad libbing. They will have a script they must go by. The DJ said this is because people were complaing about some of the things that were being said not being PC.
I always enjoyed the different personalities and what they would say. It would always be a little bit different experience.
Any one heard anything?

Right now, this is an unsubstantiated rumor, put forth by among other people, Jill Hill/Jim Hill Media, who has in the past spread some Disney rumors that have yet to happen (such as Disney Quest closing in January of 2008 to re-open as the ESPN Club).

Fox 29 (Philly) just showed a promo featuring the Disneyland haunted mansion...."Disneyland favorite attraction gets censored"..."Tune in at 6 to find out!"
I had no clue what they were talking about but knew, just knew that the dis would have the scoop. Sure enough, within 30 seconds I came across the posting, already 4 pages deep! LOL!

I seriously doubt they are changing it because of the line "Drag your wretched bodies...etc"...as they have stated it's not due to complaints like that.

It's one of our favorite rides and we ride it several times a vist. Because it is not a required 'act' I'd say about 1/2 the time I've ridden I get no 'act' and am very disappointed. We usually get that 1 line but some times it's very un-heartfelt (is that a word). Ive had some CM's do such a great job acting the character that is makes it disappointing when I ride and get ho-hum CM's.

I think it will be a good improvement.

Thank god for the DVR. It wasn't the news, it was TMZ. I started watching and couldn't take it after 5 minutes. Who the heck cares that whats her name is pushing her kid in a stroller around the block? TMZ is a half hour fluff show devoted to what the paparazzi consider "news". But I digress...

They reported exactly what was reported on the "various web sites". However, they added that "Disney has denied reports that there were any complaints, and that nothing is changing". So, based on the excellent journalist reporting and in-depth coverage that is TMZ, this can be confirmed as a rumor. LOL.

Well I hope it's just a being left as a rumor and never gets put into production. I did hear though last night that they were going to talk about HM on their previews earlier yesterday. Well, now we can all get back to loving HM how it is
