A Naughty Nothing & Crew take on WDW the Pretrip Update 7/26 Day 8 Pg. 8

Good to know about the baggallini not fitting correctly. I was going to buy one but the configuration looks a little odd. I do love the lime greens ones though. :thumbsup2

I was very close to getting the Baggallini. I bought the Overland Equipment Donner instead:

(Sorry about the links - the little photo posting icon is dinging at me and not letting me post pictures. Not sure why??? :confused3 I've asked about it on the Tech Board, but it hasn't been resolved yet. :sad2: )

I haven't used it int he real world yet, but I think I am really going to like it. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of room it has, yet it's still fairly slim. I think it will be the perfect size for what I need to carry with me. I'll probably try it out at the Taste of Chicago this weekend. :thumbsup2

Nice bag!!!! I am new to your pre-trippie! Loving it so far!

Rebecca I'm loving the new title. I see us groupies have made it in the title. :cool1: That deserves some points to you for sure.

Why am I only seeing red X's where the pictures should be?
I think the pictures will show up now. I made a mistake! I like my new title better too!

Let me know how it works for you in the real world. Not having dh with me on this trip will mean I get to carry everything!

Lots of people love the baggallini, maybe I'm just uncoordinated! The lime green one is very cool to look at.

Thanks for reading!

Okay - I used my Donner bag this weekend. I like it, but I don't like it. Does that make any sene??? I am very glad I didn't pay full price for it. I love the size and all of the compartments. The biggest thing I don't like is how it would constantly ride up my neck. As I'm sitting here thinking about it, I'm wondering if it would help if I shortened the strap??? :confused3 Maybe by shortening the strap, it wouldn't have so much room to slide around.

Other than it riding up my neck - which will be extremely annoying the end of August - I really like it. It fits my camera and lenses very nicely with room to spare. It also seems to distribute the weight evenly. I didn't think the side pockets would be very big, but they hold a 20 ounce bottle on each side nicely. I will have to use it some more and see if I can make it work. Or, I might try to make a shoulder pad to attach to the strap. Overall, it will be better than a backpack and much better than my camera case.

Not sure if this helps? :flower3:

Waiting for an update. What mistake dear...everything looks fine to me.;)

New title is great... when I first saw it, I thought... I don't remember subscribing to that post...... but got it figured out!
I thought I would throw you off just a little!

My baggallini does that too. My mil wants to try to modify it for me. I may let her see what she can do. I think just about anything is better than a backpack, unless dh is carrying it!

Can you see the pictures now, your highness? I'm hoping to post an update today or tomorrow.

Our second full day will find us at Epcot. We will get there before opening to stand in our first line of the day. Only this year I won't have dh saying "why did we get here so early?". I won't miss that. First up today will be Test Track. I will run ahead and get fastpasses and then we will ride standby. This is Justin's pick for our first ride today.

After we breeze through Test Track we will head to Mars on Mission Space, the wussy side for grandma. After we return from orbit we will go see Ellen at the Universe of Energy. We usually skip this one, but we are spending 3 days in Epcot this trip and Ellen needs a little love. Then we will do Test Track again, before heading over to the Land for Soarin' fastpasses and lunch at Seasons. We will do Living with the Land, Circle of Life Movie (remember Boo is a young environmentalist) and Jr. Chef while waiting for our Soarin' time to come up

I hope J-man will do Jr. Chef this year, he chickened out last year. Brendan loved it, he's my little baker/cook. He watches Rachael Ray more than cartoons. If you are visiting Epcot and have kids, don't miss this! It's free and they get cookies to take with them. Not cookies they made for that would be gross! These cookies come out of a "special magic oven".
This is what will be on our shirts for this day, just in case your there and you see us! I'm working on something to pass out for disers if I see any.

After Soarin' we may decide to take a break or not. If not we will be heading to World Showcase to mosey around there. Just so you know, I don't mosey, I move quick. I will be trying to slow down for my mil, I hope I can do it! We have dinner ressies for Teppanyaki tonight, our first time there. Boo picked this one, he is very excited about it! Then we will linger around world showcase until it's time to pick a spot to watch Illuminations if we feel up to it. That's day 2!

Do I get points for that.

So glad you had an update. Cause I really didn't want to get the cattle prod out.:rotfl2:
Coles' favorite park is Epcot..Is the world showcase a giant ride?
We will need pictures..lots of pictures..please.

Hey just a thought~~ will I fit in that bagadoodle. That would be a good reason to take it.

Judi

Points to Judi for being first. Early bird cathes the worm here. :lmao:

Day two is sounding like a great day. I have never tried Teppanyaki so I look forward to your review of it.

Is that a picture of one of the shirts you are making? If it is it looks great.

Hey Rebecca. Well, about the baggalini. I have two, and I love them! I however do not wear the bag as it is pictured. It did not fit me well, that way, even with adjusting the straps. I wear it like a kangaroo pouch. The bag how I wear it falls basically mid tummy, and not on my side, or back. It is so comfy that way, and does not move. Of course. it takes some getting use to, but not long. Try and see if that works out for you, if not your Disney bag is too cute!:)

1200 points to you for being first. I'm feeling generous today! If you fit in the bagadoodle you can come, you can carry it for me too!

I'm excited to try Teppanyaki even though I would never pick it myself. That is another shirt I'm making, I have to get the dark transfer paper for that one and haven't done it yet. I better get on the stick! You get 250 points for posting on my trip report.

I need a pick of the way you wear your baggallini, I think I put it on the way you do but just want to be sure. Thanks for reading Melissa!

Love your trip report!! It's always so fun to read these-it makes me get even more excited about my upcoming trip! I can't wait to hear how you like Teppanyaki-we've never eaten there. I'm too big of a wussy for the simulator rides-no Star Tours or Mission Space for me. Me no likey!

I looked forever for a new bag before our last trip. I gave up and just used my tried and true fanny pack. But I'm thinking of changing again. I think the Baggallini may be too big, though.

I think Teppanyaki will be fun for the boys. If the food isn't good I'm not too worried about it because it's free!! Do you like the coasters, just no simulators? I love rides of all kinds.

The baggallini isn't that big, just too awkward for me! Thanks for reading Angie!

Day 3 we will be at Magic Kingdom finally. This is my happy place, you know the one, close your eyes and imagine your somewhere. I see Main Street, the castle and finally Fantasyland, more specifically Dumbo. My parents took me to the Magic Kingdom the year after it opened. I was less than 2, the first ride I rode was Dumbo with my mom. Of course I don't remember the first time I rode it, but I have the picture. Those of you who do not know me well wouldn't know that my mom died from cancer when I was 19. That picture of us on Dumbo was my rock for lots of years. To this day I keep it in a very special place and pull it out as needed. I don't go to the Magic Kingdom first on purpose, I have to work up to it, we had many fun times there and would have had many more. So even though it's my happy place, it's also bittersweet.
343A6888527Ffp643Dot3E2323B3D7593D3.jpg

Once the kids and I see the castle for the first time, we hug each other and they say "thank you mom and dad for bringing us here". This year it will be just thank you mom. I can't wait.
343A6888527Ffp673Dot3E2323B3D7593D3.jpg

We will be there for rope drop and we will head straight to Dumbo of course, then Peter Pan. Once we are done with those we will high tail it to Frontierland to get a fastpass for Splash before riding Splash and then Big Thunder Mtn. Railroad. After BTMRR we will head for Tom Sawyer Island, my kids have never been there. I don't know why, bad mom! They want to try and find the paint brushes. We'll see if they do. After Tom Sawyer Island, we will have lunch at Columbia Harbour House, I love their ham sandwich. Here are all of my boys enjoying their lunch there last September. We like to sit upstairs near a window, relax and people watch for a while.

343A6888527Ffp653Dot3E2323B3D7593D3.jpg

After lunch we will see the Country Bears, cheesey but a family favorite. Back to Splash with our fastpasses then to Adventureland to see our favorite pirate.
343A6888527Ffp663Dot3E2323B3D7593D3.jpg

Boo being sworn into Captain Jack's crew. He's hard to see in the white shirt and sandles.
343A6888527Ffp643Dot3E2323B3D759-1.jpg

Then on to the Jungle Cruise, maybe Aladdin and maybe the afternoon parade. Hall of Presidents will be the last attraction we do before heading to the Contemporary for Chef Mickeys at 5pm. We love Chef Mickeys and this was J-man's choice. When we finish eating we will cruise on back to Pop for some swimming and relaxing.

Rebecca we've never been to Tom Sawyer's Island either. :confused3 I don't know why just never made it across the water. I guess you always have to save something to see on your next trip so you'll keep coming back.

Can you ride Pooh for the Judi family and of course for the FofP family.:rotfl:

We now need pictures of craneless castle. We will also need daily pictures of shirts by Becca.(in case I want to add to my list of needful things)

Now quit having a real life for we need an update. Yes I can say please:love:

Judi

While you are out camping w/ a camper..not camperless camping..I'd thought I'd take over your Pre/TR.

Where's my shirt:confused: Where are the EE pictures:confused:

I'm not wanting you to update too soon am I:rolleyes1
Come home I need reading material~~~Please:love:

Judi

Yes, we definitely will need daily t-shirt pictures!! I love coasters, just no simulators for me-they make me really sick! Which is such a BUMMER because they all look so cool! I may be brave enough to try the wimpy side of Mission Space next trip!! Although, I must say that the indoor in the dark coasters that Disney loves so much can also mess with my head/stomach-I do better being able to see where I'm going!

How dare you go off and enjoy life while we are waiting for the next installment?? ;)
