A MUCH needed trip...April 15-23, 2008...LOTS of pictures!! **UPDATED 7/27**

Hey. How you been did you go shopping yet for the trip? I need to start getting some items myself. Hope to hear from you soon.

Really enjoyed reading your trip report!

My Dad got to the hot seat in 2004 as well - can't remember how far he got though, I just know he got a cap! He too is really sad its closed down, he was looking forward to trying again!!!

I love your wedding pictures, they're gorgeous - how amazing to have got married at DW!!!

Our last trip was 2004 also, so its been useful for me to take a peek at your "what's new" update as they will be new for us too!

Can't wait to read more

I finally got around to reading your PTR:cool1:

You wedding was beautiful!!! The cake was beautiful, I love the picture with the castle in the background ~ how magical!!!

Your dog is so cute:cutie:

Your plans sound great, and it sounds like such fun to be with both of your families at Disney:goodvibes

No Boma? Boma is my favorite! It's so good, esp. the breakfast:lovestruc

I'm looking forward to more...it's getting so close now!!!

Thanks! Wow, your Dad made it too? Actually my mother in law made it to the hot seat too. I wish I could try again, oh well :sad1:

Our wedding was amazing! We were very lucky :goodvibes

No Boma, but maybe next time :goodvibes Thanks for reading, my next installment will be coming soon! :rotfl:

So, everyone knows there’s always a big difference between what you WANT to buy for your Disney trips and what you NEED to buy for your Disney trips. :rolleyes2 I mean, do I really NEED to buy anything? Not really. I have plenty of flip flops, sneakers, shorts, shirts, etc, but what fun would it be if I didn’t buy anything new?! :teeth: And besides, I'm not so sure if any of my shorts really fit me anymore...So, with that being said, I started a list…

  • Crocs
  • A Small Bag (baggallini perhaps?) This I actually NEED...My old one ripped.
  • A Travel Tripod (to take pretty night pictures for my TR of course! ;) )
  • Shorts
  • Tank Tops/T-Shirts
  • A New Zip Up Sweatshirt

DH said he wanted to get some new crocs, which I was surprised because he's more of a sneaker type guy. He showed me what kind he wanted so I decided to surprise him and buy them. So, of course I ordered myself some too! We both ended up getting the “scutes.” Here is a picture of mine:

When the crocs arrived, mine fit perfectly. But DH wasn’t as lucky. He has very wide feet and has a hard time finding shoes that fit him well. The length was OK but the width was just too narrow. :guilty: He was really bummed out…I felt bad, I had to return his. I guess it's back to his sneakers...

I’m going to have to get all my summer clothes out to see what I have, and see what still fits me. I told myself I wouldn’t go shopping until doing this. Besides, I’m not sure how much summer stuff is out yet in the stores anyway?

So here is what I had in mind for a small bag. I found it on Amazon (and it's a Baggallini! :thumbsup2). I only need it to carry my money, license, credit cards, and a few other small things, so I thought this would be perfect:

I also found a travel tripod on amazon. I didn't want anything too bulky, so I found this one that stands up to 3' high, but folds down to 10" and it comes with a carry case...

:tink: Up next...A change of plans & Did ANY of my summer clothes fit me?? :confused3

I LOVE your tre-trip report so far. You wedding pictures came out gorgeous. The picture of your dog cracks me up because my dog does the same thing (especially when we turn on The Dog Whisperer:rotfl: She loves Ceasar!).

I am a picky eater so I am a little nervous to try Boma, but I think since its a buffet with alot of choices I won't have a problem (worst case scenario - I'll eat only dessert  ).

I bought a Baggallini after reading the reviews on the Dis and love it so far! I got a different style than yours (Messenger Backpack) but they offer great products!

Looking forward to reading more!

Love the crocs! I was thinking that I need a pair before our trip - I think I'll order some. I really like that style.

Have to say that I got a baggallini for our last trip and hated it after the first day (a different one than you got). I loved it at home when it was empty and I only wore it for a few minutes, but once it was filled up and I had it on for a while I noticed that the metal buckle on the strap (for adjusting the length) rubbed right on my collar bone. It was driving me crazy - the first afternoon I bought a fanny pack! I had a couple at home, but didn't bring one because I thought it would look funny - but I ended up being much happier with the fanny pack. (And I saw MANY, MANY people wearing them.) Here's a fuzzy picture (the bothersome buckle is the one on the back):

Ha! Dogs are the best. I love how my dog watches TV, she's so cute! I think you'll like Boma...There were a lot of things that I knew I wouldn't like, but there were also things that I loved...and the dessert was good! :goodvibes

Oh no, that does look like the buckle would be bothersome! I like to stick with the smaller bags...I don't think this one has any buckles. Even with a really small bag like this, I will still feel the weight of it, so that's why I don't get a larger one.

I thought I'd need the bigger bag with the 2 kids, but we ended up putting most of the non-valuable stuff in the backpack and leaving it in the rental stroller - even when we went on rides. Smaller is definitely better! :thumbsup2 And I just ordered some new crocs - I didn't go with the scutes - for a lot of walking I like a back - I'll probably get some closer to summer though. I ordered niles. Here's a pic:

Thanks for the inspiration! I'll let you know if I like them.

oooo, those look nice any comfy. I like the color! I know, I worry about not having a back either, but they seem like they go far up enough on my feet so they won't slip off. We'll see! :goodvibes

great PTR! you're wedding photos are wonderful. Needless to say you've got me, hooked line and sinkerpopcorn:: Can't wait to read more.

DF and I will have to indulge in a few "adult beverages" ourselves on our next trip. It will be the first time she will be in disney after she turned 21. You'll have to give me some tips on great places to grab a cocktail.:thumbsup2

I LOVE my Baggalini. I have the messenger backpack, but the buckle doesn't bother me at all. They do make great products, I'm sure you will be happy with your choice!

Ooooh, I can't wait to get to the "we need to buy stuff for our trip" phase!!!

I made a list of attractions that are new since we've last been to WDW in September 2005. It is very important that we know exactly what has recently opened or closed. :rotfl: I decided that I needed a new WDW guide, so DH picked one up for me yesterday.

So, with the help of this...

IMG_1011.jpg

and the help of DH, here's what I found out:

New at the Magic Kingdom
The Laugh Floor Comedy Club
Pirates of the Caribbean updates w/ Jack Sparrow
Haunted Mansion Updates

Closed at Magic Kingdom (While we are there)
Minnie’s Country House

New at Epcot
The Seas with Nemo and Friends
Spaceship Earth Refurb
Turtle Talk w/ Crush
Updated Canada film
Updated China Film
Updated Mexico Ride

MGM
I couldn't find anything new at MGM...

Closed (for good) at MGM
Who wants to be a Millionaire? So, so sad..:sad2:

Animal Kingdom
Finding Nemo-The Musical
Everest

Your wedding photos are beautiful...you also chose a great book to assist with your planning, I lived by it last year...The laugh club in MK is fun, some of the jokes are do cheesy they are funny, Turtle talk with Crush is funny and the only thing about MGM is that it is now Hollywood Studios, cannot figure out why they changed the name...but seeing that you and your hubby are Disney pros I'm sure you will enjoy yourself no matter what...

Epcot is the place! Mexico has GREAT margaritas if you're into that, and most of the countries have their own specialty beers. :goodvibes

:confused3 What is this difference you speak of? :confused3

Hahaha, good point! :lmao:

Thanks for reading! I am loving that book so far. It has so much information in it!

I know, I think DH and I will forever call it MGM. Maybe after I visit it as "Hollywood Studios" I'll get used to it more!

Well, my sister called me today to let me know that she received a letter in the mail from CSR saying that the big super duper slide at the pool is going to be closed for renovation while they are there (April 18 & 19th.) The whole reason she wanted to stay there was because of the slide. Her kids LOVED it last year, and they don't plan to go to any parks, they just want to relax by the pool.

Luckily she was able to book something at POFQ. The pool slide isn't as great, but it will be good enough. Besides, I'm hoping I will be able to get them into my pool at the BC on Saturday. :thumbsup2 She was actually very happy that they sent a letter...she would have been pretty mad if they got there to find out it was closed! I'm actually kind of glad they are staying at POFQ b/c I've never been there. It gives me a reason to see it! :woohoo:

I loooooove your wedding pics! Sounds like you guys are going to have a great time, can't wait to hear more. Subbing!
