A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

Oh, Christine, you are just the best!
But please don't go to any trouble for me. It's just that when I saw Kathy's photos I realize even more that we live in the "Disney desert". :lmao: The nearest Disney store is about 1000 miles away and I get overexcited if I find anything Disney (Mickey :cloud9:), apart from comic books in any store here!

Karin, I'd LOVE to pick a few things up for you!! Will send a pm so you can tell me what you like. We can get to a Wal-Mart the end of this week and
Walgreen's often has some cute Disney holiday items too. :thumbsup2

Also we already planned to go the Mall about 90 mins from here to a children's shop for some Fall things for Sophia (2 yr old GD). Guess what? It has the ONLY Disney store anywhere near us! Definitely will be stopping in there too. :)

Kat! I forgot to tell you...when we went last May we were in the same building you were in! We were on the back side of this building facing the Ranchos buildings. We were in room 8107. I looooooved this location! We were a hop, skip and a jump away from the pool and even closer to our bus stop. :goodvibes I was very happy to find they met all of our requests and then some! We were close to the pool, close to bus stop 4 and on the ground floor. I think I only requested the ground floor and close to the pool.
I can't thank you enough for posting a thread about this resort, you were the reason I ended up making the leap to staying there. :goodvibes

Hmm, I'm gone for a few days and your TR takes off like a rocket. Maybe somebody is trying to tell me something....
Marv, you know I have to stick up for Rosie. Us girls stick together. But it's okay...I love you too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah! Like I'm falling for that one...........oops, sorry, pretend you didn't see that!
:lmao::lmao::lmao: Poor Marv. :)
Marv knows I love him!!!!He has my family sense of humor something I really have missed !!!!:thumbsup2
Oh great, now Rosie's trying to claim me as one of her family......:scared1:
You know how Liesa and I love to give it to you. :rotfl::rotfl:
Don't think I woulda said THAT! :rolleyes1

I can see it now.....appearing on the next episode of the hit TV show COUGARS, Liesa and Kathy! :lmao:
We were going to go into the Christmas Store at the Studios since it was right there, but it doesn't open until 11 a.m. But we got a picture of me in front of it:

DSC00852.jpg
Rosie, looks like somebody needs a pole dancing lesson! This is a rather feeble attempt! :rotfl2:

After Mark finished up, I wanted to be sure to get these two pictures this year as we have never done it in our numerous visits.

Okay, a little better, at least by Grumpy! :thumbsup2

Kathy the house looks adorable! Do you decorate for Thanksgiving too? I bought the Pilgrim Mickey and Minnie last year for my grandmother, she likes to decorate her bedroom for the holidays.

Cute Halloween decorations! I never ceased to be amazed at the places Disney items turn up. I actually found a ton of cute, small Disney gifts for Max for Christmas at a dollar store, of all places, and I've seen Disney stuff at Target and Wal-mart, as well.

And the hat pictures are great! Looks like the two of you have fun all the time. :goodvibes And I'm feeling you on the temperature thing...its finally starting to feel like fall here, too, which I do enjoy, but I know what's coming....:scared1: I'd prefer it be warm all year round, too!

Yip, I have pictures of all things FOOD!!!! :rotfl2:

I need to move to the US! I want ALL those Halloween decorations too! ;)

I LOVE all the decorations you have! I wish we had anything like it here - we have picked up a few Mickey themed Halloween items when in the US or DLRP, but they can't be compared to your decorations. We do have the same flag as you have, only ours is displayed in the window! :goodvibes

Karin, anytime you want me to look for something, just holler. We find things at Walgreens, Jewel Food stores, Target, K-Mart, and on and on. I'd be happy to look for you.

LOve Love Love the Snow white and characters for the door!!! and all the other decorations...
and you really really need to start a hat thread :rotfl2:
YOU GUYS ARE A HOOT!
Love the orange top hat on Mark with his collar turned up, too cute!!!
we still need to get up to the attic and pull down our decorations...I am just not into decorating with all the furniture all over the house just not the same...but, I need to get with it for Ashton!!!
have a great sunday!
:wave2: Connie
BTW great CSR pool and resort shots...lovved the predicted low that day!

Connie, I ordered that door thing with Snow White, etc., about five years ago from the Disney Store on the web.

You should have seen the people at K-Mart looking at us when I took those hats. :rotfl2:

I know what you mean; I hate getting all the stuff out and putting away, but you do what you have to do. And I'm sure Ashton loves you doing it.

Camille, you are too sweet. Thank you; I'm glad the CSR thread was helpful to you.

Marv, you are being a bad boy again. I leave the pole dancing to Rosie. I'm more the lap dancer myself. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Subscribing. My DH and I will have our first visit to CSR in Feb. Looking forward to hearing about MNSSHP.

:welcome::welcome: I'm so glad that you have joined us (be aware...some of the posters here are little pirates and try to take over :rotfl:). Seriously, I am thrilled you are here. I saw that Glen recommended you come over. If you have any questions about the CSR, don't hesitate to ask. As Glen said, it is our FAVORITE resort.

Kathy the house looks adorable! Do you decorate for Thanksgiving too? I bought the Pilgrim Mickey and Minnie last year for my grandmother, she likes to decorate her bedroom for the holidays.

Thanks, Nicki. Yes, I decorate for Thanksgiving too...but not as much. I saw the Pilgrim Mickey and Minnie today at K-Mart but they were a little pricey. We will go back after and see if they are on sale (same with the Christmas stuff).

Kathy,

Love your Halloween decorations!!!
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks, Sophia.

Hi Kathy! I'm joining in!

:welcome::welcome: Denise. Thank you for joining and hope you enjoy our adventures.

Thanks, Tina. I love Halloween and Christmas decorations. Our entire Christmas tree is nothing but Disney ornaments. I bought a lot of Disney stuff at the Dollar store before our trip for the little ones we met.

We've gotten to the point that we've decided life is too short and we just go out and have a great time.

I would like 75 degrees all year except the summer and then I'd like 85 so we can swim. ;)

I was a little behind, but caught up now. Good job on the Donald animations. Isn't it great how they can teach you to draw? I couldn't do it again without assistance though.

I'm with you Glen, I couldn't do it without the instruction. But it was fun and I look forward to making this a permanent fixture of our DHS day (especially since it is our least favorite park).

I'm going to attempt a quick update as I have got to concentrate on updating the "Unofficial" CSR thread as it is past it's "supposed" limited number of pages.

So, the last I wrote, Mark and I had a DIS meet at the Dig Site and headed back to the room to get ready for the MNSSHP--our FIRST ever.

We drove to the MK and this is what greeted us as we reached the Parking lot:

We arrived at the MK right around 5 p.m. We got our wristbands and our trick or treat bags. This is one of the first things we saw as we walked under the train tracks towards Main Street:

DSC00913.jpg

Main Street was very crowded with people arriving and people leaving. We were hungry, so we headed over to Columbia Harbor House for dinner.

We took our time walking over as we looked at all the costumes the little kids were in -- too cute.

We arrived at Columbia Harbor House and it was empty. I have NEVER seen this retaurant empty. We ordered our food and got our condiments and went upstairs to get a table.

I had the shrimp platter:

DSC00914.jpg

Mark had the fish platter:

DSC00915.jpg

The food was very good for "fast food" and we enjoyed our meal here as we always do.

Mark had the apple crisp for dessert (you can see it in the picture of his meal). I got the chocolate cake for dessert and it was very yummy, but too rich:

DSC00917.jpg

While we were eating, we looked over the map for the MNSSHP since we had never been and noted where some of the trick or treat spots were, character greetings, shows, etc.

We really had no idea what we were going to do and just figured we would just take it as it came. We knew we would miss a lot of things, but we just enjoyed marveling at some of the costumes, the kids excitement, etc.

So we finished up our meal, and the park was still open from during the day and the party had not yet started. So we decided to hit a few rides and shops until it was time for the party.

First up was the Pirates of the Caribbean--one of my all-time favorite rides:

A hat picture, and it's not Grumpy in the hat:

Up next, we headed back towards the Haunted Mansion because we wanted to be near Fantasyland for our first character greeting once the party started.

***Sorry the pictures aren't the best. But I'm one of those people who follows the rules and don't use a flash where it says "no flash photography."

I love the Magic Kingdom all decorated for Fall/Halloween! :lovestruc I think it's even better than the Christmas decorations!

I got the chocolate cake for dessert and it was very yummy, but too rich:

That looks like the same cake we had at Cosmic Ray's. If so, it is soooo delicious! But you're right--very rich.

I can't believe I didn't make it over here until page 14 :scared1:. Going back to catch up now :surfweb:.
