We finished up packing and headed down to dinner. Lilo and Stitch was playing while we packed. We had wanted to go see the family ventriloquist show but missed it due to packing. We found out at dinner that there were terribly unruly kids that even went up onstage during the show and the CMs did not do anything. We were both glad we missed it after hearing that.
Walking through the atrium we saw cruise director Ray again. I went and wished him a happy vacation and he gave me a big hug. So nice! I hope we get to sail with him in the future.
Our last dinner was back at Royal Court. The gang was already there and I got stuck next to the negative nelly. I asked mom later if she did that on purpose, her reply was ‘yep’…. The two mystery tablemates never showed up which was totally bizarre. The food was only ok tonight, but the conversation made up for it.
For starters mom and I both had the goat cheese and potato napoleon. This has become one of my favorite appetizers on the ships.
I think mom had a market salad
And I had an edamame and cabbage salad, which really needs dressing and I couldn’t for the life of me get our servers’ attention for ages.
Mom had a hard time choosing an entrée so I suggested something she had liked last time, a mushroom, spinach, tofu, and onion phyllo wrapped thing but this time she said it was waaaayyyyy too salty. She should have asked for something else.
I had the seafood pasta without the seafood which was good but much too big a portion
For dessert mom had her usual
And I had an apple pie with icecream, the icecream was the best part.
Our tablemates got into the spirit and offered me a picture of their baked Alaska
They were all quite curious of my picture taking during dinner the entire cruise. I told them about blogging and they were even more curious. It was nearing 10:00 so we quickly said our goodbyes and went upstairs to put out our suitcases. Mom got distracted by the shops, she’d been eyeing a skirt all week and wanted to look at it again. I promised her we’d be back after putting out the suitcases. We happened to see the Buckets and Boards guys talking to some people in the hallway so we told them how much we liked their show. They said thanks but it was actually their twins onstage and they’re both up in the room. Too funny!
Up in the room we saw our last towel animal.
I quickly took down the door magnets and put them in the suitcase, I hate to do that any earlier than necessary. Suitcases out we went down to the shops as promised. Mom tried the skirt on and liked it so much she wanted to wear it out of the store…
And then wanted her picture taken
A very nice fellow guest saw me taking her picture and offered to take one of both of us. I’m glad he did because I don’t think there’s many of us together on this trip.
We missed the See Ya Real Soon party because of buying the skirt so we just headed back to the room. We stopped and got a few trinkets at one of the other stores, a keychain and magnet for me, and a postcard for mom. Then up to the room where this very naked door greeted us.
We turned on Mulan, which I’ll admit has never been one of my favorites but I thoroughly enjoyed it this time. I caught up in the journal and we went to sleep shortly before midnight. We had second dinner so we had second breakfast in the morning, back in Royal Court. We like to postpone the cruise ending as long as possible so we’ve always done the sit down breakfast on the last day.
We weren't too sad, we’d be going back to WDW in the morning!
