Then to Epcot for our dismeet!
Walking out of the villa building
Saw this cute critter on the way
As we walked over the bridge to France I saw a wedding below and thought to myself, I need to tell Mary Ellen about this. Well, what would you guess but she was already taking pictures of them! Hugs all around and we started walking and talking. I didn’t know how much time they had but asked if they wanted to sit and chat somewhere, maybe have some food.
We ended up here which was brand new at the time.
I had been reading Mary Ellen’s TRs for about three years and Cynthia’s I think around two. As like all other Dismeets I felt completely comfortable with these two wonderful ladies, and so did mom. Mom can strike up a conversation with a complete stranger so I wasn’t worried about her at all. We talked about trips and jobs and family. This was another highlight of the trip for me.
We ordered some ‘small plates’. These were not small people. But everything was very delicious. We’ll be back.
Calamari
Grape leaves
And hummus platter (sorry, Photobucket is giving me trouble and I can’t rotate this.
Evidence.
And Mary Ellen was beyond sweet and gave me a goody bag! I forgot to take pictures but there were chocolates, tissues, a little notebook, chapstick, a little Minnie, and a light up cup. We ate the chocolates later in the trip and I use the cup all the time. Thank you Mary Ellen, that was so thoughtful!
They had flights to catch and still wanted to do some things around Epcot so we separated ways. Thank you ladies so much for taking the time to get together! I hope our paths are fated to cross again!
I had heard of a new icecream parlor in France and suggested we get some dessert. Mom was more than amiable to this suggestion. We passed these beauties. The next day would be the last day of the Flower and Garden festival.
It was here we learned that our MBs didn’t have charging privileges. Thankfully I brought other means of payment. This same thing happened to us last December at VGF. Ugh. Mom had hazelnut and I had white chocolate coconut. Absolutely amazing everyone. Mom dubbed this as the best hazelnut icecream she has ever had in her life.
We made our way back to the resort, we had Stormalong Bay on our minds.
Volleyball court
I just love this resort area, it’s absolutely gorgeous, so peaceful.
We stopped in the gift store for a movie to watch that night, we got Dick Tracy. I also wanted to see if the $250 gift card still had money on it since they didn’t put it on our cruise account. Thankfully it did and we just used that for this part of the trip instead of ever getting our MBs to charge. That was a load off my mind! Then went up, changed into our suits and went to enjoy SAB for a few hours. We had dinner at Les Chefs de France at 8:00.
