A Mother's Day Cruise on the Fantasy sandwiched between BCV (Complete 10/12, p.33)

I'm glad you enjoyed them. :) I know you and Denny would really enjoy Remy. They have quite a few red meat choices for people too. Maybe not on your first cruise but definitely some day.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Quite honestly, I am not a huge meat eater. I much prefer vegetarian options and fish/seafood. I am perfectly fine not eating chicken, meat, or pork. In fact, that's probably why I have never been to Yachtsman. I just don't love steak and the last steak I had at Le Cellier was just OK.

What an experiencing experience and the bonus of being on a cruise? You only have to get into an elevator to experience it! All that variety in one ship and it moves! The menu looks divine. So well presented. Mom must have been thrilled as not only was she only expecting it for 24 hours but you mentioned before you kind of counted it out because of the menu but it seemed to work really well. How nice that the chef comes out and chats to customers.

Poor CM something to look forward to when he retires! A visit to Remy's! The plates and carpet so wonderful and that little stool for your purse or extras. Such fine dining etiquette.

The photos of the ship are Wonder-Wonderful! Nice to see the differences between that and The Dream. I am glad they aren't all clones of one another. You want some familiarity with a bit of variety.

Looking forward to joining you in the next update to Cozumel. Nice touch btw waterproof watches!

Well, I said we weren't going to do Remy again, but after scrolling through your beautiful pictures, I might have to recant that statement. We might have to do Remy AND Palo  The view there is fabulous! And the seas looked so calm. We sat in that same room ;) It's amazing what chefs can do with food, isn't it?! And while the portions are very small, by the end of the evening, you're stuffed ::yes:: Tell your mom she looked great!!! Very nice!

Okay, wow, Remy looks amazing. I love the little touches on the flatware and plates, just perfect.

All the details were so gorgeous. There was even a glass 'Remy' perched on top of one of the lights but I couldn't get a good picture.

The food looks delicious especially the cheese course. I love cheese and especially the stinky feet cheeses. :rotfl: Bleu is my favorite.

I have slowly learned I don't care for the stinky cheeses. I've tried but never care for them. There's a gnocchi dish in Palo with a Gorgonzola sauce I think you'd like. Oh, and the grape and Gorgonzola pizza at brunch.

Another vote for your mom looking lovely. :goodvibes

She's just going to blush at all these compliments :)

How about that view! WOW! You dined at the perfect time.

Couldn't have timed it better, perfection. I missed the sunset though, was too consumed by the food

All the seafood, except the salmon, was exceptional. And there were many other options but I think some had crab which I can't eat.

Even more special that it's all right there. I love being able to walk a few minutes from the room and be in an amazing and different place.

I'm so glad I asked on here about vegetarian experiences. The Dis has been amazingly helpful when planning trips. If it hadn't been for hearing about other peoples delicious meals I probably wouldn't have given Remy a second thought.

Loved all the little touches!

Too bad for the CMs :( even the captain can't eat there. I don't quite believe it but that's what he said.

Each of the ships are similar but also totally unique. They're all amazing.

Those watches, I was so proud of getting us those watches. It might sound silly but they really were very helpful.

Oh no, you mustn't count out Remy! We did both and I must say I was a bit disappointed in Palo this time. But I'll get to that later.

I could not for the life of me remember whose TR I had read that sat in there. Thank you for reminding me! I loved being in there, it was quite nice and peaceful.

Those chefs are artists pure and simple. Absolutely amazing!

I will definitely tell mom, thank you from her in advance :)

I resisted getting one but now use it every day. It's so rare for me to misplace something that I really was starting to panic.

I was like this for a long time and even at first when I had bought it, I wondered if I had made a mistake. I use it so much now and cannot imagine being without it.

Your mom's dress is so beautiful and she looks gorgeous in it. Your dinner at Remy looked and sounded delicious. Yes, Graham would have been out of luck with dessert there. He has the same problem in the main dining rooms as even desserts that sound safe to eat often have some chocolate in them. Fortunately their desserts are normally nothing to write home about so he does not miss much.

A glass Remy? Was it so cute?

I like gnocchi. :thumbsup2 We have to try that pizza at brunch! Do you like it? Is the cheese too strong?

I think brunch will be great for the view. I can't believe Gabby will be 18 an scan join us!

You can't really tell but he's got a chefs hat on and is holding a spoon, he was adorable!

I personally haven't tried the pizza because of the dislike of the cheese but I've heard rave reviews about it.

The view during brunch is gorgeous! Yay for Gabby!!! I bet it's surreal your baby is going to be 18 :)

Mom is going to love all these compliments :) I pick her up Tuesday from the airport, she's been in Canada the last three weeks with her man.

The sundaes in the MDR are all very very delicious. Other than them I haven't been blown away by the dessert offerings. Every so often I'll get something really good. There was a coffee mousse one time that was fabulous. And that's coming from someone who really doesn't like coffee.

I'm so glad you guys enjoyed Remy! It really is an amazing experience.

Your dinner at Remy looked absolutely wonderful! I'm sorry that I can't help you out, I've never had anything beyond an amuse bouche. Now at V&A's they give you a four part amuse bouche but I've never had a pre-amuse bouche.

Some of those vegetarian courses looked good enough to substitute for some of the meat courses. Plus, I don't mind some vegetables now and again, especially a caprese salad as you know!

I'm with Jenny on the stinky cheeses! Give me a fig or an apple or some mango salsa and put it on a cracker with a blue, a gorgonzola, or stilton or whatever and I'm good with it! In fact, I haven't done that in a while. I think I need to make that right again soon!

I'm so glad that everything worked out for the two of you and you thoroughly enjoyed your dinner. I can't wait to try it out on the Dream in April!

I thought for sure you'd know. I should have asked her to repeat it but didn't think it was important at the time. I can't find anything on google. Not really important though.

I'm telling you, that gnocchi won the evening. I really enjoyed that first fish but the gnocchi were amazing. I'd have liked to have tried that cannelloni.

All this talk of caprese salad has me thinking I'll make one for lunch popcorn::

I will not be fighting you or Jenny to get to the last piece of stinky cheese. :rotfl:

It was largely in part to you telling Corinna that V & A's are accommodating, otherwise I probably wouldn't have looked into Remy again. So thank you very much for that :) it went beyond our expectations.

Pam I think the fried soup may have been a mise en bouche. In a French restaurant here they are served with the liqueur at the very start before the amuse. I may be wrong. It has been known...

That sounds right! I looked it up and it definitely sounds like what it was. And the words are sounding familiar. Thank you!

Loving all your pics and updates! Love the Remy food pics.

I also have that picture of Walt & Lily from our cruise on the Dream.

Thank you :) that meal was amazing, I'm so glad we gave it a try.

That picture is great, I'd like to frame it if I can ever get around to it.
