A Mother-Daughter Trip! Now with BONUS BIRTHDAY Trip! (Final Thoughts Coming Soon!)

DL done  Great job!!!!! I have SO enjoyed Willow's birthday trip :goodvibes

Thank you!!!! Applause...Encore!!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your trip with all of us. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Your daughter is just darling! You two look like you have so much fun together!
Thank you so much for reading! I love your family pics in your signature.

What a wonderful meal at Goofy's Kitchen!! Great characters again! You guys really hit the jackpot this trip!

Sorry to see the trip end, I've really enjoyed your TRs. Please do a comparison post. DL still confuses me. :lmao:
We really did have great character luck - on BOTH trips! :woohoo:

I will definitely write up some kind of comparison post. I am at home with a sick kiddo today, so I might even be able to get it started.

I love your last 2 updates....except that it's the end! :sad1:
It was painful to post those updates. I didn't want it to end! I have nothing else to report. :sad1:

How sweet that the Dapper Dans sang Happy Birthday to Willow! And I'm glad y'all got to go on 1 of the mountains at least one last time.
I was so thrilled that the Dapper Dans stopped to sing to DD. It was sooooo sweet. :cloud9:

Ok, I have to admit that Goofy's Kitchen sounds incredible! What an experience! The pictures are all adorable! My favorite is Cinderella dancing & celebrating with Willow!
Funny - I really wasn't looking forward to this character meal very much. I was really turned off by the whole idea that it would be random characters who didn't necessarily have anything to do with each other. Turns out that was the best thing about it! It was adorable when Cinderella stopped to dance with DD. My favorite part, however, was when Pluto ran over to get Cinderella's autograph. It was just so funny!

I can't wait for a WDW/DLR comparison update! And please tell me you are going to do a TR for the cruise! How about a PTR, too?
You know, I have had so much fun writing this TR and getting to know all of you that I cannot imagine NOT doing a cruise TR! :woohoo: As for a PTR, I'm not sure. I wouldn't know what to post since I have not even thought about the trip yet! :scared1: And I wouldn't know where to post it - I guess maybe there is a spot on the cruise board somewhere. :confused3
OMG! Reid would have a fit if he couldn't wear any of his character shirts! Wow!
Willow took it surprisingly well, but she drags out all her character clothes on the weekends. It's such a stupid rule......

The voice of the BB girl grates on my every last nerve. And have you ever noticed how much she fake cries?
Oh, she makes me insane. What "adult" whines that much???? She was like that on BB too. HIDEOUSLY annoying. :headache: But I still cannot get over how that mean girl treats her!

It can be a headache when trying to organize things....like we're having a trike-a-thon Tuesday to raise money for St. Jude's. And then figuring out games & crafts for the parties always stumps me.
I would be downright terrible at that! :rotfl2:

Complete?! What? No!! I'm so sad it's finished. I love, love, love the pictures of the Cuteness with Bert and Mary - absolutely magical. My husband has a conference in the area this summer, so we're going to make a trip to Disneyland for the first time. Your birthday trip installments have me even more excited about this our visit to the original Thanks so much for the wonderful trip reports!!
Thanks for reading along! How exciting that you will soon be visiting DL for the first time. I hope you have as much fun as we did!

Great thread! Also my favorite view.
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for hanging in there through the whole long saga.

Yay! I'm glad you'll do a TR about the cruise. I know you still have a little while before it gets here, but make sure to let me know when you do start it up. I understand about the PTR. It may be a bit hard to do one for a cruise since there's not as much planning. I'll probably do a PTR for our upcoming trip but I don't think I'm going to start it until mid to late August.

I might feel a bit more pro-PTR once I have actually paid for the dang cruise! :rotfl2:

BTW, just got an email that I was referred to the selecting official for a job in Savannah. I think that would be a pretty nice to live. :confused3

I hear ya! Being paid in full definitely helps you to look forward to the vacation more!

I've heard tons of good things about Savannah. In fact, when Ed was job hunting this past October, he had a job interview for a company there. We were really hoping he was going to get it. Seems like a nice area & it's not a far drive to Disney! :thumbsup2 Heather lives in that area - she could tell you about Savannah.

It's amazing how the stress of knowing you have to pay for the trip quickly turns into excitement and no more thought of cost at all once it is paid in full. :rotfl2:

Yep, everything I have heard or read about Savannah has been positive. This is actually a position with the same agency I work for now - just supervisory so that they can pay more. Still not sure that it would be enough to justify the move, but probably - in any case, it would allow me a year in grade at that level and then I could compete for higher grades. :confused3 I'm sure there are a lot of applicants though - I would think Savannah would be high on a lot of people's lists.

Chiming in once more to vote yes on the cruise TR!!

Also wishing much luck on the job search -- newest possibility sounds intriguing.

Best Wishes!! :wizard:

Thanks so much for joining in! And for the good wishes!

I will definitely do a cruise TR! :thumbsup2 I miss TR'ing already.....

So sorry Willow is sick, that's no fun.

No character Ts? Maddie would freak. That's pretty much all Maddie wears to school :lmao:

I vote for a PTR and TR on the cruise. I feel like I chat with you and Amanda a couple nights a week! I think I'd miss you guys! :goodvibes

Savannah sounds great! I haven't visited there since I was a kid-one of my great aunts lived there, but I've only heard wonderful things about it. And no real winters! :thumbsup2

Goofy's Kitchen looks awesome! I have heard good things about it, but it is so nice to see your pictures.

I'm sorry your trip and your TR has to come to an end, but it was so much fun reading along and I think its going to be very hard to top Willow's 5th birthday!

I'll be on board (ha ha) if you start a cruise PTR! I'm really thinking about planning Disney cruise for after Dh returns from his deployment. I'll just need to get DS potty trained! :scared1:

Yeah, the no character clothes rule is so stupid. I'm sure Willow will be thrilled to start Kindy in the Fall so she can wear what she wants!

Glad to hear positive things about Savannah! :woohoo: Hope I get an interview!

Okay, you guys are starting to convince me to do a PTR. I may not have much to say about the trip yet, but at least we would have somewhere to chat! I will have to poke around over on the cruise boards and see if there is a place for such a thing!

So glad you joined in! And I think I just may start a PTR - maybe you all can help me figure out what I should be doing to prepare!

Oh man, good luck with the potty training! I know it can be quite a challenge. (I lucked out, and DD just decided at about 2 that she was done with diapers - I am grateful for that every day! :rotfl2:)

I know, right?!? It makes me sad that we won't have a place to chat.

I think y'all would really enjoy a Disney cruise!

Best of luck with the potty training! I was so worried about that milestone with Reid but, surprisingly, he trained very quickly.

Wow - I don't know what to do with myself now that the weekend has come and my TR is over. :sad1:

How have you girls been?

I have to say I had a really nice weekend, although it went by way too fast. Yesterday, I spent the day with my best friend scrapbooking at a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. And today, I lounged around the house with my husband & son. We washed my car, had a water fight with the hose & didn't do much else!

My day to make ADRs is fast approaching (April 2nd). I was thinking of starting my PTR in August (we leave Sept 28th) but I'm wondering if I should just go ahead & start it already. :confused3

Thanks so much!

I think Savannah would be really nice too...tink of how easily you and Willow could drive to WDW.....another vote for a cruise TR.....I really have enjoyed your TR!!!!

Well I hope you still up date us from time to time :thumbsup2. I am dying to hear how the job search is going and cannot wait to hear about the cruise :goodvibes. And how is Miss Willow? :)

Amanda -- sounds like you had a wonderful weekend:thumbsup2. I was at a conference all weekend and it was great -- but I must say it is nice to become again!
