A Mother-Daughter Trip! Now with BONUS BIRTHDAY Trip! (Final Thoughts Coming Soon!)

Another great installment! Love the pics with your daughter and Eugene - precious!

All day today, I kept thinking, "Just power through - in a few days, you will be dining at Ariel's Grotto watching Willow enjoy her birthday cake." Going to go into work tomorrow - the whole building should be empty, so I am going to crank the music and work as fast as I can to get as much done as possible. I am hoping that I can get myself in a good position to close things out on Tuesday and feel no anxiety about leaving for DL on Wednesday morning. :thumbsup2

When am I going to run those last-minute trip errands, you ask? When am I going to start packing secretly so that my ever-watchful child will not notice, you ask? I have no idea!!!! :scared1: :rotfl2:

Okay, is this WL trip the one that is 3 months away? I need to know so that I can do a little calculating to prepare myself for how many more resort changes there will be before you actually go. :rotfl2:

Back to BWI....94 more days to go!

Best of luck secretly packing BTW  can't wait to hear Willow's reaction :woohoo:

The prince & princess photos are priceless! I am glad she had a nice time meeting them after waiting in such a long line! Looks like you guys had lots of fun at MNSSHP and fit a lot in!

GREAT pics of the princesses and princes! Wish we had seen them...Faith would have loved it. Where did Willow get Eugene from?? How funny!

Glad you were able to see some of the parade. Our family really loved it! Every character imaginable was in it. I'm hoping next year that we can make it back to MNSSHP. I think we closed the park down...on the People Mover (my favorite ride) Before we could exit the park, this is what happened....

Like you, we were exhausted! So glad y'all had a good experience!!

Hello!!! I have not abandoned my trip report - I had to take a break to go to Disneyland!!!! :woohoo: We had an amazing time!!!! And I took a bazillion photos to share with you all. Think it would be okay if I just tacked on a DLR trip report at the end of this one? :confused3

I should be able to get an update done tomorrow and get this report rolling along again!

Looks like y'all had a lot of fun at MNSSHP! Reid is sitting on the couch next to me because he woke up from a scary dream. He thoroughly enjoyed looking at your pictures with me! He was halfway asleep until he realized there were pictures of Disney World on the computer. :rotfl:

It seems like the princesses and, especially, the princes were great with DD! I should've known it was Flynn that she fell in love with....he is such a charmer!
Aww - that is so cute about Reid!!! We sure do love MNSSHP! :woohoo:

Willow believes that Flynn should only be referred to by his real name. I guess because Rapunzel gets to call him that? :confused3

Look at your sleepy kiddos! So cute!

29. A Lazy Epcot Lunch

After our late party night, we slept in - I think until about 9:00 or 9:30. I know that when I got up, I discovered this.

She was examining all the candy from the night before. But she hadn’t eaten even one piece. So, being the wonderful parent that I am, I totally let her have Halloween candy for breakfast.

And then we decided to wander over to Epcot.

We grabbed Soarin’ FPs and took a spin with Nemo.

We were going to check out the aquariums (something we haven’t done before), but DD’s feet were hurting. She insisted on wearing these fancy Princess Tiana shoes - luckily, I had packed some real shoes in the stroller. ;) We made a quick shoe change and decided to try Figment, which we had not done before.

This attraction was, hmm, odd. I have NO idea who Figment is though, so maybe it wouldn’t be odd if I did!

After Figment, we ventured over to Canada where we checked out the store and bought some candy. (Canada has some amazingly good candy.)

The Canada area of Epcot is so beautiful!

Why were we spending so much time here? Oh, yes, lunch! We were going to give Le Cellier a try! This was a great place to cool off.

The pretzel bread was indeed quite yummy as reported so often on here.

DD had some noodles.

I ordered the poutine because I knew my friend from Canada would never forgive me if I didn’t, and I figured DD would eat some - I mean, it involves FRIES. This was NOT authentic (as verified by my Canadian friend ) and was actually pretty gross. We didn’t eat much of it.

I ordered the filet with the risotto and mushrooms. I don’t usually order filet, but I liked the idea of the mushrooms and risotto. This was quite tasty! (Even so, we ended up wasting most of the food - there is just so much!!!)

DD’s meal came with the World’s Tiniest Sundae.

After lunch, we headed over to TT to grab some FPs and then started our WS shopping trip!

Up Next: 30. Shopping Around the World

Candy for breakfast is most definitely allowed on vacation! :thumbsup2

Sounds like y'all were having a nice start to the day. Le Cellier is on my list to try one day. That filet with the mushrooms looks delicious! However, those fries (or whatever they were) look rather disgusting. :crazy2: What exactly is on them?

And who knew that Canada had great candy selections? :confused3

Poutine is a Canadian concoction of fries, cheese curd, and gravy. This one clearly did not use cheese curd but some kind of gelatinous nasty cheese mess. It was NOT good, and I think real poutine is something that I would find very yummy. I guess I will just have to visit Canada sometime soon! ;)

Canada has AWESOME candy. No kidding - my friend used to send care packages from time to time, and they have tons of good stuff. I highly recommend stopping and picking up some samples. :yay:

Sounds like a good enough excuse for a trip to Canada! I still don't know about the whole cheese curd part....I'd need to see a picture of the "real" thing. Post a picture of the real deal if you get to Canada! :rotfl:

That really does surprise me - in a good way. I just wouldn't have thought of Canada having great Canada. I will most definitely be checking out Canada for some candy this December! :thumbsup2

 I totally promise a poutine picture posting when I finally get my hands on some!!

When is your next trip? I will get the names of my favorite Canadian treats and pass them on to you. ;)

You definitely have time to get the list to me - our next trip is in December. But, I really would like to hear what some of your favorites are! :goodvibes I love candy! :lovestruc

I don't know how I missed the MNSSHP update!

Love, love, love that Willow called Flynn Eugene. Hilarious!! You got some great pictures.

I'd love to hear about DL, so I think it would be great if you added it on to this TR.

I would have totally let my DD eat candy for breakfast. It's vacation!!:lmao:

Okay, here are some of the yummy ones that I have tried (a number of them are equally available in the UK where they also have much better options than we have here IMHO ): Coffee Crisps (I think these are only in Canada, although not sure), Aero, all the Cadbury chocolate bars (they are way better than what they sell in the U.S. for some totally unknown reason), Flake (I love these - I think they are U.K. originals but also available in Canada), Wunderbar (definitely available in Epcot's Canada). That should probably keep everyone in Canadian goodies for a while! :rotfl2:

See above for Canadian candy! :rotfl2:

 Willow is so funny. If she DOES do something she is not supposed to or thinks she's not supposed to, she just can't help but tell on herself. :rotfl2:

Reid tells on himself, also! It makes it harder for me to be mad at him. :lmao:
