A Most Interesting Saturday Morning

I cooked a nice breakfast. -pause-
Got the bills paid and my checkbook balanced. -pause-
Helped missypooh with the laundry (okay maybe only a little) -pause-
And caught up on much of my Disboard reading -pause-
I listened to some music -pause-
Practice playing guitar -pause-

You get the picture? Now, imagine that each time you see a -pause- in the above list of what any normal person might do on a Saturday morning, you are seeing me going back to my computer to see if the VMK problems have been rectified.

Other than those little hiccups, I almost remembered what life was like before VMK.

am now waiting in a line of 151 person -- stupid I know

Sitting here for 15 minutes and....
LOST CONNECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least you guys got on! I had to scream at the Black Screen O' Death about three times before my girlfriend woke up and asked me what was going on. When I told her that VMK was acting hinky she looked at me like a dog that had just been shown a card trick.

And then she got mad at the computer. Ahhhh...a family that VMK's together knows exactly where the other one is.

I think this tragic accident with VMK has put us all in the depths of despair.

Well, this morning I woke up and went outside and powerwashed the deck to get it ready for staining and waterproofing for winter. Now, I've wasted two hours (while eating lunch) trying to get into VMK to discover that there is nothing for sale and the maze is a bust and the rest of the site doesn't even function enough to allow you to chat with friends (assuming that your friends even got into the site). So this is pretty much a non-event and the deck is dry .... So time to go out there and stain it.

P.S. If my tone sounds hostile toward VMK I don't really mean it to. In actuality, I feel very sorry for the staff. They are coming off a home-run of a week, as far as I'm concerned with the Halloween overlay of Main Street, the great items for sale in the Emporium and the introduction of the Air Lock game. Three mid-week surprises that were fantasitc.

I really wish this event had gone much better so their week had not ended on such a low point. The maze event is a great idea, but it may be time to just let it go. This is strike 2 on that one.

omg, i seriously can't imagine the pain of losing connection at #25. i would be pissed off!
