It was so delicious! And it's not that she didn't enjoy the trip, in fact I think she was happy to stay in the room most of the time.My mouth is watering seeing all of those desserts. Yum!!! That so sad Fran wasn't able to enjoy the trip.
Thanks! Me tooI highly recommend the Remy dessert! Everything was so delicious!
Jill in CO
It totally was! That event looks amazing!
I know that's got to be awful to be injured like that so far from medical treatment.Yikes - I could think of nothing worse than being seriously injured on a cruise in the middle of the ocean! As you say better to save one life and inconveniece a few thousand!
Always, although not sure how I feel with the. We pricing. It looks like another wonderful meal at Remy!
It was a fun movie, and we're glad we finally saw it.We enjoyed Solo as well - a bit too fan-service-y to be a great movie- but a fun little romp. It didn't ruin my childhood!
I just wish the French were more descriptive and not so cryptic in their menus.Just reading this menu made me excited!
At this point I don't remember what it was. The only thing I can say is good! The apple looks so fine and thin, was it a vanilla bean sort of ice cream with it?
Yes it was! And very unique.Mmm Peanut goodness!
OK next time I'll give you mine!I would enjoy this one I think, as I do like hazelnuts a lot
I think it was more of a gelatin.Does this have a sort of jelly coating around it?
I know. There's no way of knowing how it turned out.I hope she is ok- unfortunate to be late at Castaway, however someone's life is indeed much more
Tasty too!Beauty colour on this one also
It was all very yummy! This looks very yummy!
It's not something well advertised. It's on the last sea day of both the larger ships. We only found out about it because they were preparing for it when we had Remy Brunch on the Dream.I don't know if they had this experience when we were on the Fantasy (I don't remember it) but I hope someday to do something similar!
Kids can play but they have to accompanied by someone older, not sure if they have to be over 18, but probably. They let kids play bingo??? I'm a bit surprised... or... are the prizes not cash?
Actually it was a hole where the sun did shine!A hole where the sun don't shine. Check.
Taking sunrise pics would have been nice.I can't believe you're actually wishing you got up earlier.
No, we're like weebles. Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down.Did you knock her down? I hope she was okay. I hear if you hit your head, they fly you home.
You should try it on the outside of your body. It's a little more satisfying.I've had that. Didn't care for the taste.
ohhhhh.... that sounds... heavenly.
Remember? We're women, everything is a discussion before action! One does not discuss breakfast. One eats breakfast.
I can understand that, but they're more than happy to let you linger, but I get it.I'm with Fran. I don't like that either. For exactly the same reason.
No the ones in the sit down dining room are much better, but the advantage of this one is you get to put the hollandaise on it, and as you can see, Fran went for the over the top amount! No offense... but that Bennie doesn't look very appetizing.
They've told me that before, so it could be a fleet wide policy but it's silly.Oh, come on. That's bs, obviously. More likely they were just trying to please you by giving you more of what you asked for.
That's the only way to eat oatmeal. Fran likes Brown Sugar and butter in hers. With brown sugar. I approve.
I wish I would be having some Mickey Waffles on our upcoming trip, but we have no breakfast reservations.I'm not a huge fan of waffles... but that's making my mouth water!
Thanks! It just happened to work out that way!Nice shot, Alison!
It's always a good deal to book your next Disney cruise while onboard! Not a bad deal!
I know its really cool!Gorgeous (and impressive!) chandelier.
And they have salad dressing so you can even fix up a salad if you like.I like the looks of the fixin's bar.
Yes. We have another from a previous trip that we still need to sell.Oh? You had originally planned to sell it, I presume
Actually it turns out that she has a severe iron deficiency and she is seeing a Hematologist and getting iron infusions and severe cold is a symptom of iron deficiency. Is that because she was ill? Or just a bit chilly on board?
As I said weebles wobble but they don't fall down!Had she recovered from when you ran into her?
I was happy with all of them!I glanced at that and...
I want the first and last dessert. I guess that means I like fruity over chocolate.
Also want that icewine. But... (later)
I think he did, otherwise Disney wouldn't have hired him!Whoa! Long time. Dude must know his stuff.
It was definitely incredibly good!
I can't even imaging how good this must've been.
Not a fan of peanuts?Hmmm... might have to pass on that, depending how I'm feeling.
Even not being a huge fan if hazelnuts it was still pretty tasty.Pass.
Yes it was.Although the presentation is quite nice.
Yeah this one was weird, not what I was expecting.Interesting looking.
I guess so. We didn't hear anything else.Oh dear. Must've been quite the fall.
I posted about a dinner that Fran and I attended where all the wines came from this winery a few years back. It was quite fancyBut... while the ice wine appealed the most... I'm really intrigued by this one now.
I'm pretty sure I liked this one.really on the fence on this one. If there's too much dark/bitter chocolate, I'd probably pass. So I'd have to try it before deciding.
Yes! This one was incredible! Now this... This is the pièce de résistance! Yum!
Huh! Surprised by that.Kids can play but they have to accompanied by someone older, not sure if they have to be over 18, but probably.
Lucky you!Actually it was a hole where the sun did shine!
So is sleeping.Taking sunrise pics would have been nice.
I remember that. No, we're like weebles. Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down.
Novel concept. You should try it on the outside of your body. It's a little more satisfying.
Remember? We're women, everything is a discussion before action!
Hmmmm...No the ones in the sit down dining room are much better, but the advantage of this one is you get to put the hollandaise on it, and as you can see, Fran went for the over the top amount!
Bizarre. They've told me that before, so it could be a fleet wide policy but it's silly.
None at the food court??I wish I would be having some Mickey Waffles on our upcoming trip, but we have no breakfast reservations.
Really! If anything, I thought they’d discourage that. And they have salad dressing so you can even fix up a salad if you like.
Glad that’s figured out!Actually it turns out that she has a severe iron deficiency and she is seeing a Hematologist and getting iron infusions and severe cold is a symptom of iron deficiency.
I am. They may not be a fan of me. Sometimes when I eat nuts/peanuts, I wake up the next day thinking I have a cold. Sore, scratchy throat, sniffles, watery eyes. Then the next day... all gone. Not a fan of peanuts?
Then again, I get a fair amount of rest in real life compared to other folks. The only time I get up early is on vacation!Dang. I'm sure it felt good to rest, though.
That's what I'm wanting to know? How hard is it to cook one egg?
I've heard a lot of people say that, but I thought he was convincing as a young Han.Glad you liked the movie! I thought it was a meh. The guy playing Han Solo was a letdown from Harrison Ford.
I can see your point. I think you would have heard Charlie Brown's teacher as he was talking."You're gonna eat...and you're gonna drink."
It's that kind of effort that makes the food there so exquisite.Holy cow. That's quite the effort.
I hope so too. No way to know if she was.Uh oh.
Stinks to be delayed, but that sounds like it must have been really serious. Hope she was ok.
She stayed for the whole meal, she just didn't want to hang around for the idle chatter and petit fours.Oh my that looks like a great pairing. I love chocolate and wine. Too bad that Fran did not feel well and had to leave.
I know. When we are back on the Fantasy, I'll have to think hard about going to Remy. Palo is such a better deal.Your entire Remy experience looks great. I thought we would be dining there on our next cruise but when they went up to $125 per person we decided it was not worth it to us. But I do wish we had jumped in on an earlier cruise and experienced it when it was less expensive. Oh well.
Stuff happens.Well poop.
I do like the Rainforest Room!Ahh, niiiice and warm. I could get used to that.
I know, really?Huh? Say what?
The carpeting throughout the ship is actually quite pretty! That's pretty cool. But all I could notice was the really gorgeous peacock carpet!
Actually this is a fun factoid. The Disney Magic and Dream are styled in Art Deco, the Disney Wonder and Fantasy are styled in Art Nouveau. The Art Deco carries so well throughout!
Totally! We need another shelf for our collection! We can't even display all of our mugs anymore!#tikimugpriorities
Thise were my favorites but I tried to eat all of them. Those two just look too rich for me. I think my faves would have been the apple and the lemon.
I'm sure he didn't hesitate to make that decision. I'm sure they've had to do it before.I would hope everyone on board would have had the same compassion and understanding. From a nurse's perspective, that must've been a HUGE burden of stress on him or her to make that call to order an entire ship to port for an evac. It would have been a multi-thousand (possibly 10s of thousands) dollar decision and to have that responsibility would be very daunting.
Our server heard me talking about it at dinner a few nights before and was probably smirking knowing that it would be served again. It did sound (and look) stunning.
It's not hard to caught up here! I'm so far behind!I think I am caught up and WOW total food/dessert porn! I am happy the flat me got to partake in a drink and dessert.
Everything looks incredible!
We're about to embark on a real trip this weekend!Well after she made you do laundry and all!
Let's see if she can pull that off after this weekend!Yeah, you were still skinny and flat after all that food and dessert!
I’m late to the party but just read your whole report so I’m all caught up!
I have a high tolerance for fancy food. But after a week or so I do get somewhat tired of it.I loved all your updates with the special meals! Did you ever feel like it was too much too close together? Michael and I have only ever done Palo brunch and Remy dinner within one 7-night cruise and besides a cost concern, I am wondering if we were not to get too tired of all the delicious food.
I thought it was a good variety, there wasn't really a lot of chocolate, maybe half?I loved reading about the dessert experience, but it did seem very chocolate heavy. To be honest, I would be more interested in the champagne than the desserts...
I did love the brunch too. I would still do that even if we don't have dinner there. But I did love the Remy brunch. Just like with Palo, the restaurant does take on a different atmosphere during daylight and I would love to experience this.
Today!!!!!!!Not typical in real life. #10Days
Disney tries to be inclusive for the kids. Plus the hosts are rather boisterous, there is a lit of dancing and frolicking.Huh! Surprised by that.
Well based in my home's location etc. I can't see the sunrise or sunset without moving to higher ground, so its exciting to me when at sea.So is sleeping.
(But I do know the allure of sacrificing for a good photo.)
What? I didn’t say anything!
Probably not. DCL does everything from scratch.Hmmmm...
If it’s mock hollandaise... I’ll pass.
There are no food courts at the resorts I stay at.None at the food court??
Why? The more they can offer people...then again they have already made up salads at the QSReally! If anything, I thought they’d discourage that
I just hope she starts getting warmer. Not only is our heating bill getting up there, I'm dying with the house so hot.Glad that’s figured out!
Huh. Very odd.I am. They may not be a fan of me. Sometimes when I eat nuts/peanuts, I wake up the next day thinking I have a cold. Sore, scratchy throat, sniffles, watery eyes. Then the next day... all gone.
Maybe a mild allergy or sensitivity.
Loving the TR!!
Do you recall what Jill's room number was? We are on the Fantasy in just over 3 weeks and it looks like it may be similar to the room we have so just curious where it was located.
Hahaha! Same sort of thing my mom would do on our cruise! Though you did end up with some lovely solo photos!Well I go back into the store and here she is with bags and bags of stuff that she had just bought! I was like, “You said you were going to drive through! The photographers close any moment now, the stores are open all night!”
Evidently she didn’t get this part of the situation. So she came back with me and we were able to get one more set of pictures.
Now that IS a fun fact!Actually this is a fun factoid. The Disney Magic and Dream are styled in Art Deco, the Disney Wonder and Fantasy are styled in Art Nouveau.
#firstworldproblems. LOL!Totally! We need another shelf for our collection! We can't even display all of our mugs anymore!
I have no doubt. It was the right decision, but an expensive one.I'm sure he didn't hesitate to make that decision. I'm sure they've had to do it before.
LOL!!Our server heard me talking about it at dinner a few nights before and was probably smirking knowing that it would be served again.
So much FOMO going on.But before that! The DCA Food & Wine Festival opens today and I have a one bedroom booked for the weekend and Jenny and Jill are coming along to crash in the living room. Even with the rain it still should be a fun filled jam packed weekend!
My favorite of them all.
This is positively genius!
