A mom, a son, and a mission...We conquered Disney!

You are all set! Good for you!
Making me homesick for WDW even though I just came back!

These plans are highly likely to change!

I never have either but my grandparents live about 30mins south of Disney and want to take us (Im 23, 24 on the 13th of Oct! My Girlfriend is 23) out to dinner that night so how could I say no:lmao: ? I find it funny that we are going the exact same dates and from what I can see we wont be at any of the same parks during the same day.

We are also the same age! Well we will be when you turn 24 lol. The only parks that are set in stone are when I have ADRs. And Epcot on the 17th because a friend from Florida will be staying with us that night and wants to do Epcot. I'm an indecisive person. :confused3

thanks for the link to the earplanes! I might have to look at those for the kiddos. :thumbsup2

Your plans look great. :)

Great list of ADRs, LOVE Disney Food!!!!

Disney food is just so...yum! I love the variety. I just added CP and HnV this morning. I was worried about being alone with DS at a buffet but I figured out that we can share a plate since we are both light eaters and refill as needed. If needed I will throw in some bribery...or a leash :rotfl:

I heard about the earplanes right hear on the DIS! DS is extremely sensitive to noise so those will be extra handy.

So I didn't forget about pictures. I'm not one to break my word so here we go. No laughing at the ugly girl!

Also, this morning I had an email from Yapta that my flights had decreased $30 each so I have a $60 credit for my next trip! :cool1:

I also scored an appointment with the optometrist today. Woohoo! I am totally blind in one eye as of right now so this is much needed.

Hi. Looking forward to your report. My son is ASD also, so we're planning but not TOO much, since we're letting his mood or ability to handle everything sort of dictate how much or how little we do every day.

I'm sure you know all this. We learn about changing plans on the fly pretty quickly, don't we? ;)

Cool to hear about your binders, I'm doing some too. We're driving, so I have two - the small one has all of the pre-planning and driving information, hotels, stops along the way. The BIG one has a rainbow of pocket folders as main dividers, then each section as it's own set of dividers. I have one section for each park, resorts and general information.

It's huge, but I feel somewhat organized!!!! :)

I'm subbing - can't wait to hear more.

How old is your DS? We drove last year. It wasn't THAT bad. Definitely not a dream trip but way better than I expected.

Today I thought of a new issue. My ex. :scared1: He doesn't know we're going and I don't plan on telling him unless I HAVE to. We are currently still in court. Should he have visitation by then or something I'll have to tell him.... Now I know this probably sounds horrible on my part but my son's donor...well he just isn't a nice guy. He currently owes me about $2450 in child support and had his visitation suspended for a positive drug test. If he knew we were going to Disney he would probably call child services on me AGAIN. He's done it about 4 times now. Last year when we went to Disney I think I stressed the most about getting there without him knowing.

Yesterday I had an appointment to get new contacts. The exam went well. I was amazed actually. The doc checked my eye through a computer and knew my prescription! No flipping lenses back and forth or any of that nonsense. I can see!!! And my eyes don't hurt and aren't tearing constantly! He gave me a pair on the spot to put in and I ordered a box. I'll need another box before I leave AND a pair of glasses. Yowser.

HIIII< I'm here.. IDK how I missed the link to your ptr!!! Ok, so I have to say, go to target for clothes for you and him.. one punk rock momma to another.. good stuff there and reasonable!! I know the island has one now, so do it! Ok, and I give you proprs for going to wdw solo.. then again I don't do anything solo:rotfl: let alone travel far away solo with my kids. I'd go nuts by myself.. actually, going somewhere solo with dd might be very nice for both of us! We do have a solo day at mk this trip kinda, so that will be nice. Anywho, I'm here and subbing. Looking forward to your writing and MORE PICS PLEASE!

btw, long shot but do you know a girl named nicole druda??

Okay, I'm having anxiety. I'm thinking maybe I should switch to CSR or POR for the first 3 days. What should I do? HELP! I'm freaking out here lol.

Next comes ADRs. I think I'm going to cancel Mama Melrose and HnV. DS just isn't in to JoJo or the Little Einsteins anymore. As he tells me, he's 4 and he's too big for those baby shows. I want to cancel Mama Melrose because I want more flexibility the night we arrive. I'm not really sure what shape either of us are going to be in. I'm mostly concerned about me. DS never seems to have issues with energy. I wish I could bottle some of it. :rotfl:

Then I noticed that eBags had my set on sale for 107.99 on their site. So I emailed them about it and they credited me the difference. So now I have paid a whopping $7.99 for my luggage set. Sweet!

I try Target all the time but I NEVER find anything! the ones around here have very little selection. However, I did find stuff on their website so I think I'm going to order it. I love being alone lol. I go to the city by myself all the time. I have really bad anxiety too, but lately being alone has been very calming for me. And being alone in Disney means I'm in total control. I'm a bit of a control freak so this is perfect for me. :rotfl:

Hi Just jumped over will fully catch up later!

Welcome!

So this morning I made up my mind. I stalked all the moderates FAQs and decided I wanted to stay at CBR. I go online to book and guess what. Go ahead...take a wild guess. Yup, booked solid. I tried AAA, CRO, travelocity, expedia, orbitz and NOTHING! Maybe it's a message? I really had just gotten my heart set on staying there too! I picked it because I think DS would enjoy it. I'm not sure he would get anything out of POR or POFQ and there have been a few negative reviews of CSR lately. Now what? Should I just suck it up and go with CSR or stay with Pop?

I get the feeling I'm mostly talking to myself, but that's okay. I often do that anyway. :rolleyes1 lol Moving on...Yesterday I switched the three nights at Pop to ASMu. DS is super excited. He loves all things rock (duh!) and so he wants to stay there very badly. I'd rather that than ASMo since ASMo hasn't had a refurb yet and I was SURE he would pick that hotel since he loves Toy Story. I think next year we will work CBR in our plans. Anyway, I made the ressie on my lunch break at work and come home to find my ME tags here already. Whoa! I was sooooooo excited. Then I realized they say Pop. Doh! I called Disney and they said it was okay since the tags are linked to my ressie not the hotel on the tag. I sure as heck hope so. It would be unfortunate for everyone involved if I had no clothes to wear. :lmao:

Today DS and I had an action packed day shopping for our trip. I bought a few more shirts at the Disney store. I got him 3 more pairs of shorts at JC Penny that were on clearance for $6.99. Uhhh what else? Oh yeah I got him a polo shirt at Old Navy. I found out what size I am at Old Navy too so now I can order myself some clothes! Woohoo! I was definitely thinking I was like 3 sizes bigger lol. Didn't realize how much weight I lost. I decided the only ADR DS really needs proper attire for is Coral Reef. Other than that they aren't fancy shmancy places. So one polo shirt and the khakis I bought today will suffice. I'm not going to stress about it anymore. We also went to Babies R Us to try out strollers. I was going to go with the Volo until I realized it doesn't recline. That's a deal breaker. So it looks like I'll have to shell out the extra $$ for a Triumph :sad2:

When DS goes to bed tonight I am going to get out allllllll the stuff I have acquired thus far and sort through it. Anything that can get packed will be put in the suitcases. My next question is, should I put my ME tags on my suitcases NOW??!! Can you tell I'm getting excited? lol

Your not talking to yourself! We stayed at ASMu last year and loved it! So it looks like your well on your way and very well prepared! I was shocked how early we our Magical Express package this year as well! Anyway thought Id quickly check in, gotta run! Have fun packing!

:wave2:

Subscribing bc I think you and DS are adorable! And very jealous of the mommy/son trip even though I am not a mommy yet (does this make sense? lol).

I too am obsessed with planning! I will be there 10/10-10/15. Contemplating doing my own PTR but I am afraid...lol

I really couldn't believe the ME tags were here already. That means my WL packet should be coming along shortly. I'll really flip when I get that one! lol That one has the good stuff.

Glad to hear you liked ASMu. It's only for 3 nights anyway and it really can NOT be worse than the year we had no where to go on Easter night and checked into a hotel with ROACHES. Seriously...there were roaches everywhere and the walkway to the rooms was crumbling beneath our feet, but we weren't supposed to know because they ducktaped it. :sad2: After surviving Easter night in that place I think I can tough out anything.

Thanks! And yes, it makes total sense to me. This is hopefully just the first of many mommy/son trips we get to take together.

Our dates overlap! Where are you staying? You should totally do a PTR. I'd love to read it. :lovestruc

Just checkin' in.

I like your schedules. Changing from the JoJo meal is probably a good idea if he is not that into it anymore. I know my son got out of that about last year too.

I've heard good things about AS Mu lately so I think you'll be alright there!!!

I SO want to put my ME tags on now so I know exactly how you feel!!! :thumbsup2
