Hi everyone!

My name is Lindsay and I have decided to become a member here instead of continuing my lurker status. I am from Southern California and have been an active annual passholder at the DLR for about 8 years now.

WDW is definitely my favorite place to visit. If I am going on a vacation, it is to Disney World. Sure, I may grow tired of it someday, but I seriously doubt it.

Last year was the first year I was able to go with just a friend (no parents/family) and it was a totally new and wonderful experience! Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but seems like I can be a little more "free" and myself when with one of my very closest friends. Well, we had such a WONDERFUL time last year that we have just booked (as of yesterday) another trip for this year! :woohoo:

My friend, Patty, and I have known eachother for about 8 years now. We met the very first day of college orientation and hit it off immediately. We shared a very strong love for boybands, pop music and Disney, and it definitely helped build a really strong friendship. Her and I are always getting into "trouble" and having misadventures, which is why we have always referred to ourselves as the modern day Lucy and Ethel.

Last year, we went to the WDW Resort for 7 nights in Novemeber, and this year we are going at the same time but staying for 8 nights instead! We decided to add an extra day in so we could rent a car to go check out Universal/Harry Potter, plus explore the Orlando area a bit. Being fans of N'Sync, there are a lot of sights to be seen since that is where the group originated! haha Our trip is from November 11th until the 19th, and I cannot wait!

Wow, it has already been a long time since I posted this. I logged in to DW.com today and this is what I saw:

Just 65 days to go til our trip! I am so excited and really NEED this vacation to hurry up and get here. When we first booked back in June, we booked our stay at the Pop Century (where we stayed last year). I ended up getting a pin from Disney though, so we decided to take advantage of the 40% off and stay at the POFQ. When we first talked about going to the world together back in 2004, POFQ was where we really wanted to stay. Last year, we decided to do a value resort to save money though, but this year decided to make our dream come true. Really stoked about it! :)

I would like to take this time to introduce myself and my partner in crime. I really hope to make some new Disney friends on this board, and I know it always helps to see a face to go with the name. Drumroll please....

So that's us! A interesting little fact about us is we both have always dreamed of playing one of the monkey's in Fantasmic during the Jungle Book part of the show. We have learned the dance by watching youtube videos over the years and love to "perform" it when watching the show at Disneyland. Doubt it will ever happen but we still have fun dreaming about it. :goodvibes

Until the next update, here we are hanging with two of our best pals...

Hello everyone!

Well, we got our trip all paid off this past weekend so I am really excited to start receiving all the goodies in the mail! :thumbsup2 A few weeks ago I did the customized park maps on DW.com and they showed up last week. I LOVED the packaging and stuff. Such a great keepsake.

We are down to 53 days and I couldn't be more excited! I decided to login to united.com last week and check out our flight information... good thing I did because our flight to Orlando had changed from a non-stop to a 1-stop, and we would be getting there like 4 hours later than what I originally booked! I was pretty upset that they didn't send an email or anything to let us know. I ended up calling United and was able to switch the flight to an earlier one that is non-stop. Now, instead of arriving at 6:30pm which was when our original time was (before the change... woudl have been 10:30pm now), we are arriving at 3:15! So happy we will have a lot of the day to go explore some hotels and things we haven't gotten to do before. :)
