I woke early and made a cuppa which I took out on the balcony so as not to wake the others. There were already lots of people out jogging.

After the others had woken and we'd all got ready we headed off to Epcot. We debated on whether to have any breakfast and in the end decided to skip it so as not to ruin our appetite for our lunch-time ADR and opted for the healthy option of a cookie and cream ice-cream sandwich instead!

Marie was in France waiting for us - she's one of our favourite characters.

It was really busy here today so we didn't bother with any rides instead concentrating on visiting the countries.

here they are sat on the same wall nearly six years later!

Then it was time for our lunch-time ADR at Chefs de France.

Bryan chose a plate of cold meats and pates to start

while I had the lobster bisque.

For her entree, Samantha chose the lasagne

Francesca had rotisserie chicken which should have come with mash but she asked for fries to be substituted

Bryan had steak

while Danielle and I chose salmon with bearnaise sauce and ratatouille.

For desserts Samantha and Francesca chose profiteroles

Bryan and Danielle had a lush chocolate mousse cake with ice-cream

while I (yet again) went for the creme brulee ..... mmmmmm

We all loved it in here, nothing was too much trouble, and our server Paul was from Paris and knew and loved DLP! We were also visited several times by this little fellow!

We continued pottering round the different countries (don't think you can ever get bored in this part of Epcot) then before we knew it France then UK were celebrating their New Year and it was time for the first performance of IllumiNations. As the evening wore on, Danielle and Francesca were getting fed up so we took them back to the hotel room - give them a couple more years and I'm sure they won't be opting for TV and bed over seeing the New Year in!

When we were back in the park we made our way round to Italy for a few drinks of asti ..... and found it invaluable having an under-age with us as we'd get called to the front of the queue each time!!

I'm so glad we were able to experience New Year's Eve here. We watched the midnight performance of IllumiNations

and loved everything about tonight from the countdown on Spaceship Earth to the countdown round the countries to watching my favourite show yet again. Not sure that any other New Year's Eve will ever match up to this one!

When we got back to the hotel room Danielle and Francesca were still awake - they'd watched IllumiNations from the balcony but had thought the festivites on Disney Channel were more exciting!

What a fab day and how lovely to see a then and now piccie of your girls, they have really grown up, how time flies a wonderful night at epcot.
