I am so glad that he loved the video! Those kinds of things are the best presents!!!!
Ha! I love to do the cliffhangers. Glad you're reading and enjoying. I sometimes feel I'm a bit wordy, so I cut it off and finish in a later post.Augh! I'm loving hearing about Chris's birthday, but you left us on such a cliffhanger! Do you get everything done? Does Chris come back early? What's going to happen!!! I can't wait to read more and its nice to have you back!
Yes, he really liked it and I agree - I love the more sentimental, meaningful gifts.I am so glad that he loved the video! Those kinds of things are the best presents!!!!
Answer: a. The stone building located alongside the Biergarten Restaurant was to have been the home of a "Rhine River" ride, which would have taken guests on a cruise through the German countryside. It was to offer both education and entertainment by showcasing the cultural heritage of Germany's past and present. The building, which still stands, has been used at various times as a workshop, for prop and float storage, and as a rehearsal studio for performers. What was the empty stone building next to Germany in Epcot's World Showcase built to house?
a.) A boat ride planned for Germany
b.) An Israel pavilion
c.) The control center for the IlluminiNations fireworks show
d.) Lounges and a restaurant for VIP
What attraction's outer surface is largely covered with a material called "alucobond"?
a.) Spaceship Earth
b.) Universe of Energy
c.) The Tree of Life
d.) Cinderella Castle
I guess I scared everyone off with the cat/raccoon pinata thing.
We'll continue with Chris's birthday. After Memphis, we flew (Continental again - ugh - and neither flight was on time) through Houston to Vegas. We stayed 3 nights at the Four Season (host hotel for my work conference). It was a nice trip, but the highlight was our dinner the 2nd night at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris.
I had requested the table "on the point" when I made the reservation, and had told them it was Chris's 40th birthday.

I was thrilled that we got this table.
A side note: If you ever go to Vegas and want to enjoy this view of the Bellagio's fountains, just go up to the bar in the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. The bartender told us that anyone can come up there without reservations, and they serve the full menu at the bar. They have some specialty drinks too (like the Eiffel Affair - which is delicious).
So we really enjoyed the Chef's Tasting Menu. A very expensive dinner, with wine pairings, but very, very good. And probably once-in-a-lifetime. I am not sure we'll do that again - sooo expensive. Yet so memorable.
And since I had lost my camera, we bought the professional photo for a whopping $25 added onto our bill. Not the greatest pic (let's just say we should have had it taken BEFORE the wine pairings), but I'm glad we have it. And you can see my dress

Trivia:
43 days until Disney (42) According to Cast Members, why should you ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in the late afternoon?
a.) The cars are sped up 10%.
b.) The lines are shorter because that's when people eat lunch.
c.) The greats on the tracks is thinner thus your train goes faster.
d.) There are more trains running which moves the lines along faster.
And I'll repost yesterday's question, since nobody has had a chance to guess yet.
Oh I know you've had a rough one, but I'm glad things are working out. And I completely understand reading and not posting. Sometimes we just don't have time for DIS, unfortunatelyDidn't scare me off with the racoon. I have just had a bit of a week... I have been reading, but not posting as much.
What a view you had!!
Your dress is very pretty. That is a good color on you.
As for trivia,
Yesterday was a.) Spaceship Earth>
today, I am a bit unsure...you go faster because the grease. So... I will go with c.) The greats on the tracks is thinner thus your train goes faster. You go faster not because of added cars or because they speed up the cars...so c. makes the most sense to me.
I think it's great to have friends like that! They keep us on our toes.We have a friend who would give the same kind of gift...and she would not have to have a few NOLA drinks in her to do it! Friends like that...you treasure...always counting on them for good memories to rely on when things are tough!
I am so sorry about the camera...I am hoping that soon you will announce that Continental has found it!
Love the dress...what an amazing location in Las Vegas. I made a note to myself if and when I ever get to Vegas that I have see this view!

Haha - sorry to post all the pictures of your nemesis! So, where did you go to school? I do love Pearl Street Mall. I can imagine missing the mountains for sure!Okay...seriously that many pictures of CU...ICK....I grew up very near CU and being native, well lets just say the only time I rooted for CU was when they were playing Nebraska! Thinking of the Pearl Street Mall made me smile...lots of great Halloween memories from college and my soroity sisters on that street! I love Ralphie, though...the college near hear has a buffaol mascot and handlers too! It is fun to watch Ralphie run when a score is made. I can remember one time when Ralphie got away from the handlers...hmm, it made for lots of laughs! I admit that Katie did pick a beautiful college to attend...I miss home and the mountains in the background...
Oh it was really so much fun. Way more than I can even put into words. You should definitely plan a girls cruise. Most of us didn't wait to get rid of the kids. A bunch of them just left them!OMG....
I can't wait to hear more about this cruise! I am dying laughing and letting my imagination run wild! This is something a few of my soroity sisters from college need to do...as soon as we get rid of the kids at home!
