Ok seriously, why have I not read this yet?! I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get here, but I'm going to catch up now!!
Oh boy, just saw that Mitt Romney is supposed to be speaking at the Latino Convention at the CR on the 21st and Pres Obama is speaking there on the 22nd. Not too worried about avoiding the CR, that's easy enough, just worried about traveling around the area - they tend to shut roads down while the POTUS is on the move! Timing will be everything here!!!
Hmmm, another reason to go for rope drops!
It should be okay I think. I've seen a few motorcades with police and SUV escorts here in my time in DC, and they move FAST so barely enough time to really cause a backup. But then again, it's always backed up here so maybe that's why I didn't notice a difference.
It's VERY hard to concentrate on the real life stuff - DH isn't going this time, though, so I can't be toooo crazy! He gets kind of hrumph-ish. That's why I go on the boards, I know you guys all understand our exuberance!!! With Emma doing Insanity, I've got to whip myself into shape in the next 3 1/2 weeks! Yeah, I'll get to that in a minute....hahahahahah!!!
We definitely understand! I don't know what I did with my excitement before I found the boards.
I have to get back into my exercising also! I've been doing the Couch 2 5K program because I'm doing the Tower or Terror 5K race in Sept (Dh is doing the 10 mile race). But, I haven't run in almost a month because we've been moving. My goal is to get back at it on Wednesday.
That exercise program sounds....well.....insane. Sorry, I had to say it. Beach Body does have some really good programs though. We have some DVDs from them....I think it's the Power 90 program. But, I could be wrong. Anyway.....good luck with working out. I really need to get back to my Couch to 5K program.
How exciting for yall! Mickey Mail just makes it seem much more real, doesn't it?
Mickey Mail!
Outside of March Madness, I can't think of anything else that significantly decreases work productivity than Mickey Mail!
I know, right?!? Why does it always seem to take so long for vacation to actually arrive? Then, once you're there, it goes by at lightning speed no matter how long your vacation is.
EXACTLY! We got our ME tags for the POP night today!!!! WOOT!WOOT!WOOT! So now we're all set!!!!
Okay I'm all caught up!
Hmm...must-eats...that's hard because there's so many! My favorite CS spot is definitely Casey's Corner. As far as snacks go, besides the red velvet cupcake, I always have to have at least one Mickey bar, and now Kristen has me hooked on schoolbread in Norway!
That is a great camera! Very nice!
Awww I love your zoo pictures! That baby chimp is precious!
Congrats on finishing your first year of college! That's a huge accomplishment!
Two extra days! That's AWESOME!
Your ADRs/food plans look great!
YAY! The DxDP is so much fun! We loved it, even though we felt like we were going to explode by the end of the week!
Your trip is getting so close! That's awesome!!

That's great! Emma and I want to do one of the 5Ks (although I haven't run in awhile!) And congratulations on your move! Was it a big one? Now that Emma is in college, DH and I are thinking about making a big move down to Florida! It might take awhile, but we're getting things organized. I just got my status of eligibility to teach in Florida, now I just need to get my fingerprints done and it'll be official - WOOT! Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of French teaching jobs there. Luckily, I have theatre too, so hopefully something will shake loose! Good luck with your running program! Let us know how it goes!!!
Oh, it is! I really like the company! I'd like to get a couple other DVDs they have advertised on our workout! Thanks! Good luck to you too! It's so hard to find time when you're so busy!
I LOVE Vera Bradley! SO much. I just use an ugly old ADIDAS bag for my park bag, VB sounds so much cuter! I hope you find a good deal.
YAY PINS! OMG, I always buy a Disney mug! Every trip! It's tradition! Hahaha yay, those are fun souvenirs to get!
25 days!!!!
Wow, I can't believe you're only 25 days away! That's so exciting!
On our last trip I finally gave in and bought one of the WDW cinch back packs...that thing has been a godsend! I love it so much, because it's lightweight, but it holds a ton of stuff! Plus, they make pretty good souvenirs!
YAY!! I'm so glad you're into pin trading! I've been pin trading since 2007, and I LOVE it! I think I have somewhere around 300 pins...I'm seriously addicted! It's so much fun in the parks!
25 days!!!
That's a great picture of you & your friend. Y'all look like y'all could be sisters.
I hope you find the bag you want for the parks. It really can be hard to find that perfect bag that fits all you need but isn't so large it needs its' own zip code.
I am seriously considering buying a start up lanyard & some pins for Reid on our upcoming trip. I think it would be a lot of fun to get into but I do worry about starting up another Disney obsession.
I also love Disney mugs! Although, I haven't bought one in a while. Hmmm....I think I know what one of my souvenirs will be this year.
Thank you! We just moved a few miles down the road. We had been in the process of building a house. My DH & I have been married almost 13 years & this was our 8th move. It was the closest move we've ever done but, for some reason, it's been one of our hardest. But, things are slowly coming together.
That is awesome about getting your eligibility to teach in Florida! I hope something great rolls your way so that you can get down there!
I have the Fat Burning Bootcamp DVD by Beachbody that I have been too scared to try! It is very hard finding the time to exercise these days. But, I know I have to get back into it soon or I will definitely be in trouble for that 5K race.
I'm struggling with the bag problem too. I still have 50 days to go, so I have plenty of time to figure it out. I am a big Vera fan too. I am thinking I will go with a lightweight drawstring backpack from Thirty-One, but I'm afraid I will still have to carry something else to put the frequently used stuff (tickets, photopass, camera, phone, etc) because its a P.I.A to keep getting stuff in and out of a backpack. I did buy a Vera lanyard and ID holder, but that won't fit my camera & phone. Maybe just a hipster would be better after all. Or.....I can make my cousin carry the backpack and I can just have a small crossbody (Vera Lizzy) or something. Hmmm...decisions, decisions, decisions
When Emma got her Vera hipster, I got one too. I like it, but my only issue with it is when it rains, stuff gets wet! Even with the drawstring backpacks there's not a lot of protection either! Poor Emma, when we went to Universal her phone was in her Nike drawstring backpack - those water rides are SUPER soaking and her phone got wet!! Luckily we had the insurance for it. I usually use my Burberry backpack in the parks and I've never had a problem with anything getting wet inside (and I put my parkpass in my ID holder around my neck). BUT the Veras are super cute!!!! It is a dilemma!!! So, I usually pack several bags because I can't decide - I love them all! Then of course, there's the whole "If I don't carry a bag, I don't have to go through the bag check!" thing, too. hahahahah!
Good tip about getting wet. I plan to use ponchos when it rains and the only water ride for us will be Splash, so I think it will be alright on there.
I would love to not have to go through bag check, but I don't think thats an option for the July heat. I will need water bottles, ponchos, misting fans, etc. Maybe when we hop back for EMH in the evenings we can go bagless
