A Magical Engagement at Disneyland!!

Our DD's boyfriend proposed to her in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle after the fireworks show on December 21st! It was a special moment and both families were able to be present to witness this event! A CM arranged a spot for our families to watch the fireworks show, then another CM let Kyle and Melissa go under the roped off area in front of the castle where Kyle presented Melissa with a glass slipper with the open ring box on top! A gift shop manager who knew the proposal was going to take place gave them a gift of a beautiful Jim Shore Cinderella coach. Disney went above and beyond to make this a truly magical, memorable evening!! The picture below shows Melissa when she first realizes what was going to happen! (Sorry for the darkness...and for forgetting the redeye reduction!)

She isn't having a DFTW, but will likely incorporate Disney into her wedding. I'm sure she'll display the slipper and coach at the reception. She and my DH will dance to Steven Curtis Chapman's "Cinderella" and she will come down the aisle to "Flying" from Disney's a YOAMD promo.
