A Magic Morning Question

Im a WDW gal and need some help from the experts! We are staying at DLH for 4 nights, but we aren't arriving on Wed night until close to 10pm, so to save money I booked BW Anaheim Inn the first night, thinking we could walk over to DCA for early entry for a couple hours and then move over to DLH after that.

Well duh! I have to check in to DLH to get Magic Morning! So my question is-can I drive over to DLH early Thurs AM, check in, and get something that will allow us early entry even if our room isn't ready?

I'm pretty sure you get MM, if you want, the first day of your stay at the DLR hotels.

I've seen people say that they've done that time and time again. We drive over and usually aren't there until mid-afternoon on day 1, so we haven't done it ourselves.

As long as you have your room keys to your DLR hotel room you will get early entry. So yes, you can go to the hotel early and check in, get your keys even if the room isn't ready and take advantage of MM.

We've checked twice at 5:30am . AtPPH each time. Got our keys (and got to go to our room) and was at the DCA gate by 6:30 for EMH.

Question to piggy-back off this thread, rather than clutter the boards with another post.

We will be getting our Premier Passport (because we will be at WDW this year too a few time - https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/premier-passport/) once we arrive.

My question is, if we are staying on DL property (which we are...we are at GCH for 1/2 the trip and DLH the other 1/2), do we get Magic Morning hours as a Passport holder?

The EMH has nothing to do with what kind of annual pass or park pass you have, but comes from staying at a Disney hotel. So yes, you will get early entry for each day of your stay. You'll just need your annual pass and your room key to get in to the parks every morning. Hope that answers your question, and have an awesome trip!

The early entry you get for staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels is called Extra Magic Hour (EMH) and is valid with room key for DCA on Sunday, Monday, Wed , and Friday and for DL on Tue. , Thur. , and Sat which are the days that also have Magic Morning for those not staying on property but have multi day park hoppers.
