A lot of UK tourists were in Orlando from 10/11 to 10/13!

I visited Sea World, Universal, and the Magic Kingdom on these dates and I heard a lot of British accents during that weekend. In fact, when I heard someone with an American southern accent, I was surprised!

Was Pontins sold out? :)

October is very popular with us Brits - mainly because the weather is nicer, it's cheaper to go than the summer or Easter and our schools have a 'half term' holiday week in October.

Hey Barry, were we all cramping your style sweetie ;)???

Just wait until December, there's a few of us on the boards here that will be there then as well - sadly :( they're not all coming to DISCon.........but I'll be there :)

Barry - I forgot to add that :

Of course all the Brits are in Orlando at the moment that's why our Community Board is SOOOOOOOOOOO quiet :):):)

If people don't post idle chit chat soon I'm gonna have to start making things up ;)

I read that there have been less Brits in Orlando since September 11 but on my visits at Easter and the end of August I also found it a novelty to hear an American accent. The place was crawling with Brits and I have to say some of them made me cringe (Brits Abroad)

Hehe "Brits Abroad!" That's funny. What's wrong with Brits abroad. I've always found you guys to be the most polite of tourists.

... there were plenty of Brits in New York too!
Yes, October has become a really popular month for Brits........ I suffred a most painful experience at JFK whilst we waited to board our plane on Tuesday night........ AA kept announcing the departure of a non-stop flight to Orlando........ at the departure gate right next to ours!!!!! I kpet looking at DH with pleading eyes and he kept saying boring things like ------ you need a ticket, luggage etc etc
