lol!! Wow that is Disney Crazy! But live with no regrets I say! I guess there's no way you can just go three days later instead of flying home and back? So cool though! I'm envious, hopefully one day I can be there for it!!

No worries, I still really like Star Wars so please geek out about it!

The first weekend of our trip was pretty well set in stone so I couldn't really switch it around. I am a contract employee, and it looks like the project I'm on right now might end right around trip time, so keeping my fingers crossed that I'm unemployed so I can stay the whole time (geez I hate to say that).

I somehow always find your reports....must be the "ohio" reference in your name!

First off....LOVE the cat with the mini ear hat. Perfect.

How crazy that you are going back and forth...love it. True commitment there. We also are doing a bit of crazy scheduling in order to attend the 24 hour event. Myself and my oldest will be arriving Thursday, while my husband and younger daughter (who is in school until Friday) will be arriving Saturday. It works well because those two aren't as "hard core" and it will leave my eldest and I free to stay as late as we want.

Now we are not SW people (is that ok? or should I walk away from your report?? ) and will be avoiding that completely (well except the special fireworks show).

Can't wait to hear more....I really wanted to write a PTR but just don't think I should since my DL report from July is still unfinished. Instead I am just stalking other PTR that share a similar date as my trip!!

Star Wars actors came out today!!! And we finalized a lot of stuff so I'm doing a big update

We leave Columbus at 5:25 on Thursday, May 15.

Plan is to arrive and maybe go to MK after dumping our stuff at Beach Club, might try to get FP+ for the parade and fireworks just to test it out.

Friday May 16:

up super early to get in Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca)'s FP line. I already have his autograph, but Stephanie does not and I could always get one for my dad.

8 am Breakfast reservation for Sci Fi SW breakfast

We'll try to get pics with some SW characters after breakfast.

Then check in for the VIP seating for the parade and watch the parade.

We have FP+ for TSMM, ST and TT.

Dinner at Hollywood and Vine for another SW character meal.

Then we have our VIP viewing and dessert party reservations for the SW fireworks.


Saturday May 17: Epcot day. We are going to eat at the food booths all day.

Illuminations cruise at 8 pm.

Sunday May 18: AK day.

10:30 at Tusker House, hoping we can get breakfast and lunch foods

We'll have FP reservations for another park, but not sure if we'll stay here all day or not. I love AK late night days.

My flight leaves at 9:30 pm back to Columbus.

I'll be missing out on a BOG dinner, a Cali Grill dinner and a Universal day while I'm back home working.

I return Wednesday night around 7 pm. Not sure which park, but I think I can get a few hours in somewhere.

Thursday May 22.

Most likely an Epcot day with dinner at 5:10 at Ohana.

Friday May 23.

24 HOUR EVENT!!! Stephanie and I are trying to do all 24 hours. Brian and his mom will probably come and go.

I am dressing up as Donald, Stephanie will be Mickey and her mom will be Minnie.

Brian isn't so into dressing up but he has a really good Jack Sparrow costume. I'm trying to convince him to be 'tourist jack sparrow'. He'd wear the wig and hat and guyliner, then a Hawaiian shirt and obnoxiously colored shorts. I think it'd look sweet.

I think our plans for the 24 hour day will go something like this:

Arrive in time for opening, from opening until noonish go on the more popular and slow loading rides. Not sure if we're going to try to do everything at MK this day or not.

We have a lunch FP at BOG.

I've read that the park will really start to fill up around 6.

We have a dinner ADR at Crystal Palace at 7:05 so we could get out of the crowds.

I have all our FP+ scheduled for after dinner. I did the rides I like to do at nighttime, BTMR and JC. Then I have a Mickey FP+ in case he is meeting in his pajamas again this year. I figured this was a good way to get on some attractions while the park is slammed. We might just avoid the fireworks and parades all together (we'll probably have already seen them for the trip).

I figure by the time our FP+ are over it'll be around 11 or midnight.

I am really hoping there will be rare characters to meet so we can do that during this time.

And that's about it.




Stephanie and her mom fly out very early Saturday morning. I imagine Brian and I will go back to the room for a long nap. I have FP+ scheduled on Saturday for Epcot, but AK is open late so maybe we'll go there.

I'd also like to see Warwick Davis' SWW show, so maybe we'll do that Saturday afternoon or Sunday.

Sunday we'll do our favorites before finally heading out on the magical express around 5:30.

We'll come home, I'll go back to work, and then Thursday night we leave for Cali!!! I'm gonna be exhausted but I'm so excited!!!

We are planning our 1st trip in June 2015 and we just realized it's Star Wars weekend. He will go nuts...still trying to hold off on that surprise!

I was trying to come up with a way to make a Donald costume so that I wouldn't be sweltering in the heat. So of course I started to google for inspiration and I found this and I think its amazing so of course I will try to copy it:

I've purchased the tutu, the buttons and the fabric for the bowtie.

I thought the SWW fireworks VIP package sounded great. So cool that you booked it. Even though we are avoiding DHS those days we are going to sneak over there on Saturday the 24th to see the fireworks and I was tempted to give that a try but decided against it since that is the day the rest of the family arrives...if they would happen to be late, etc. I didn't want to risk wasting the money.

Illuminations cruise is on my to do list soon! Lucky! Sounds like a great trip!

I wanted to let you know that I use this really cool website called Polyvore.com if you search through the sets, people put together "outfits" that look like characters/attractions/lands...etc. There are some really awesome Donald ones...there is a girl that goes by the name Disneybound who puts together amazing looks. I am gonna be doing one of the Boba Fett looks for SWW! Enjoying all of your planning stuff! Mine is just getting in full swing as we speak!!

Bolt and Penny are sweet costume choices!!! I will be on the lookout.

I think the fireworks will be worth it. Some people think they are the same ones they had for the special May the fourth event last year, and I heard that those were some of Disney's best fireworks ever.

Once you get to the site, at the top you get an option to choose what you are searching through, it is default set to products you want to change it to search through "Sets" instead. Once you change that, just search for Donald Duck or whatever you want and it should give you some examples like this:

for the bantha skull I would just buy a patch and put it on the side of one of your sleeves.

Guys! This is gonna be the best month of my life, seriously!!

So I got some good news at work. My project ended Friday, and I'm being moved to a different one on Monday. This new project has really loose hours and no one cares if I miss time!!!

So not only do I get to stay employed up until vacation time, but I get to stay the entire time!!!

I am so much excite!

This means I'll get 2 days at Universal too!! And there are rumors that Diagon Alley might be having soft openings at that time!

I have a lot of obsessions, some being Disney and Star wars, and Harry Potter is right up there with them!! So not only do I get my favorite frozen butterbeer this trip, I might get to see the new Harry Potter stuff!!!! Is there such a thing as too many exclamation points? Gosh, I hope not.

Even though we'll miss the 7dmtc by a few days, I have no doubt we'll catch it on a soft opening

I just made the bow tie for my Donald costume today and have all the pieces except for the collar.

Don't you just love when everything comes together??

DH and I are huge SW fans as well. I also grew up watching VHS recorded from TV SW movies! My first was Empire Strikes Back. (That's not exactly true - apparently my first was Return of the Jedi in the theater when I was a toddler but I have absolutely no memory of that - bummer!) We also had the two Ewok movies on recorded VHS and I remember being a little confused at first as to how those all fit together. I got it eventually.

I've also read the books but I stopped when a certain character (my fav) was killed off. My DH and I actually met because I was reading a SW book in class and he thought that was pretty cool.

So exciting that you get to be there for a week with the SWW and the 24hr party!!!!!!! <- some exclamation points for you You are so close to leaving, jealous!

If you haven't listened to the SW Radio Dramas, I highly recommend them. Pretty awesome with some extra scenes! I'm a huge fan of radio shows as well so I get pretty excited about it.

Here's to hoping that Disney re-releases the original movies in their original form on DVD!

Talk about a good update! No back and forth that's great!!

Still trying to figure out when we will be at the same places. Are you staying at the BC for your whole trip? I somehow was thinking you were doing a split stay but went back and looked for that and couldn't find it so maybe I am thinking of someone else. We will be at POP our first two nights then moving to BC on the 24th (YES...I am not thrilled with having to change resorts the day after the 24 hour party....if my room isn't ready I might be napping at Stormalong Bay! I guess things could be worse.... ). Our schedule is this:

Thursday May 22 arrival in AM-POP check in-DHS-Dinner at Chef Mickeys 8pm

Friday May 23-MK 24 hours. CP 9:50/BOG FP 1:30 (not sure we will be ready for lunch yet so it might just be cupcakes and looking around! We haven't been yet!)

Saturday May 24-Resort change to BC. Sleep! DTD?-Rest of family arrives at 5:30ish. Beaches and Cream 6:30-DHS for fireworks

Sunday May 25-AK. Tusker House 1:30(ish). Possible DTD or MK in evening.

When do you leave? Sunday? I won't list the rest of our schedule....

I need to get things organized here...we have all been sick which sucks but at least we are getting it out of the way before Disney! (Fingers crossed).
