So, I'm new to the board (though I've been stalking for awhile popcorn::) and here's a brief background of myself and the situation I'm in.

I was born about an hour east of Sacramento and lived there until I left for college. I now live about 20 minutes from DL and my boyfriend of 3 years is coming to visit me :lovestruc. We've done this MANY times before, so what we're doing while he's here isn't even a question: DL for two days, possibly three. We're both Disney fanatics, as I'm sure all of you are, too :).

Now, he's coming the weekend right before Valentine's day (the 10th through the 13th). And since it's a sort-of holiday that we never really celebrate, I thought it would be nice to surprise my dearly beloved while we were at DL. As to what to surprise him with...that's where I'm lost. We've done Ariel's Grotto with the WOC package, the Blue Bayou, all of the character breakfasts, and I'm sure alot more that I can't even think of right now :confused3.

This is where you guys come in!! Any advice or ideas or considerations that you think would be magical and perfect for any Disney fan?? Anything is welcome, and thank you in advance!!

We have not!! I've always hesitated because it's been a little out of our price range.

Is it good??

Ha! I haven't eaten there yet either, but I know it's the place that always gets recommended when someone asks for a special place for birthdays/anniversaries, etc. I'd love to go, but I usually go to the parks alone (my DH is neither a foodie nor a Disney-fan) so I haven't been.

Alone?! I'm so sorry!! Haha I've always considered going alone on difficult or stressful days since I'm an AP, but it's always more special to go with someone who's company makes the experience even better :) .

Awww, yeah, I don't mind it. I love going alone because I can do/eat anything I like at my own pace, but I love going with friends and family when they visit from out of town as well.

I know they are also expensive, but have you done any of the tours? That might be another special option.

You should try going solo at least once ;) Yes, it's great to be there with someone whos company makes it that much better but going solo provides a very different take on things.

As for something special to do for the two of you ... hm. I'm not so good at that stuff, but the Napa Rose would be a wonderufl dining experience for the both of you. Maybe you could do the WIWF tour?

A tour!! I'm pretty sure that's a fantastic possible idea. Have any of you been on a tour before?? I just looked at the different options and he would LOVE WIWF and Discover the Magic.

Any ideas as to which might be a better option??

I know my preference would be the Walk in Walt's Footsteps. That is the next tour that I have my heart set on. They are wonderful things. My BF and I just did the Holiday Tour on New Year's Eve. It's great to get to walk through the Park learning little tidbits along the way. Some you know, some you don't. But they are definitely worth the money.

Never dined there ourselves, but Jazz Kitchen might make for a more affordable romantic dinner if Napa Rose is out of the question. Or maybe Steakhouse 55?

I recommend Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour, also. It's probably my favorite at Disneyland.

I recommend an engagement ring.:cool1: You could always ask him?

Jazz Kitchen in DTD is very good. :) We've eaten there quite a few times and while it isn't really secluded enough to be romantic if it's nice out you can sit on the balcony, that might be a fun choice. :) Otherwise I think Napa Rose would be AWESOME!!!!! I want to do the Chef's Table with DBF and myself once, it's an experience we've never had and I think we would both enjoy it very much. As for tours, we only have done the holiday tour at Christmas but we loved it, I would love to do WiWF, if we are able to do another one that's my choice. DBF wants to do the Segway Tour at DCA but I don't think it's running now because of all the construction. But tours are wonderfully fun to do!! :)
