We had a great experience at CR with my 7-year-old w/ PDD-NOS diagnosis. I did not originally want the CR because it seemed so retro (stayed there a lot in the 70s w/ school trips) but I ended up loving it and will now always price it out for retn trips. Anyway, I had asked for a quiet room away from CM and our pixie dust for the trip was an upgrade to the 12th floor. I simply could not believe how quiet it was (and we were there during Pres Week which was mobbed) and how short the walk to MK.
The CR was our first night and then we moved to WL which was also GREAT for my kids -- a real escape. I would recommend it, too, for sensory kids, who don't mind a boat ride to MK.
Our last night, my firework-phob sat out on the CR 4th floor viewing area for the fireworks with my hands over his ears and he loved every minute of it. He was quite taken with the CR. If I could talk DH into DVC, I'd buy into BLT in a heartbeat.
