While in MGM on our last full day we were waiting in the bookstore next to SciFi for our PS to be called. I noticed a CM's badge, it said his hometown was a few towns over from me so I was going to wait for him to finish his coverstation with some guests and mention it to him.
While waiting I have to say I was sprinkled with the Pixie Dust. This older gentleman named Bob was amazing. He was talking to a little girl and had her pick any cookie she wanted out of the case, then another little boy next to her told his parents that he wanted a cookie (there was no way he knew Bob was giving them away) and before I knew it there was a cookie in the little boys hands. The parents kept asking each other what was going on and why was it free. I just smiled.
Bob also whipped out a family photo of him and his million children/grand children (ok I'm exaggerating but there were a lot) and was telling the story about how they all came down and visited him for thanksgiving for the first time.
I know this might seem trivial, but I thought Bob was the true essence of Disney and a great way for me to end my trip. I never did get to say hi to Bob, as our name was called. But since I didn't get to tell him how great a job he was doing, I figured I'd tell all of you. So thanks for listening.
