Hi Folks, any recommendations for double strollers. We have a 2 year old and a new baby. presently have a Graco singel stroller, travel system but think we need to get a double stroller.

Not 100% happy with the Graco...it is OK but we might want something a bet better not sure. I broke a wheel on the Graco in the cold last year and although they replaced it I was not impressed.

We like to do lots of walking and of course it will make a few trips to WDW.

I think we like the front back set up but not sure.

Any thoughts and advice...

What's your budget? :) We just picked up a Chariot Cougar 2 (for future family expansion, even though we just have 1 17 month old!) and it's awesome! We bought the jogging attachment for it (not the stroller one, but that's available). Keeps the snow and rain off our boy and it's like a little play area inside, but it is pricey. Folds down nice, fits in our car's trunk and we purchased the travel bag for it. Definitely not really that portable, but we will be able to get it down to WDW.

I bought a Cosco double stroller before my 2nd dk was born (March 2003) and I have rarely used it. I can't remember the model, but the front seat turns around so dks can face each other or both face forwards. It is the most annoying thing to try and steer. I hate it and only use it occassionally (we've had 2 more dks since ds in 2003)

I find that the weight in the front (with baby laying down in back seat) makes it very hard to steer and it feels like the wheels are going to snap off.

As soon as ds2 could sit up in a stroller, I purchased a Perego Sherpa (used) with board on the back and I absolutely love it. It is a pretty old stroller (1st person used it with 3 dks and I have had it since 2003) but it is still in great shape. It has larger tires and is great to steer and the dks all loved being able to stand on the back and see over the strolller. Plus it is easy to fold and put in the car.

We did not take our double to WDW this past Sept (it is too big and bulky and a pain to fold). We ended up taking 2 umbrella strollers. DD 4.5 walked and we had the 2 strollers for ds 3.5 and ds 2 and I had the baby in a front carrier.

Good luck on your stroller hunt.

I like the Chariot, since I also run but I thought it might not be portable enough to fly and bus with to go to WDW. Plus don't the infant need to be able to sit up before it can be used? This might not be a problem by spring but right now DS is only 1 month.

They do have an infant hammock and a bunting bag and such for it.. it's definitely one you'd need to test drive before making a commitment! :)
