A little OT but Disney and the Daytona 500 have a connection!!!

Just wanted to throw this out for all the race car fans....

Don't know if this was posted or not, but Disney is going to sponsor the Pace car at the Daytona 500 this year.

The Disney Stores are carrying t-shirts and sweatshirts with Mickey and Daytona 500 designs.

I saw that while looking at the NASCAR site! Very cool. We will be st Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort during the race and look forward to watching it in "Big Murgie's Den" on the big TV!
I'd love to see Disney sponcer a car. Maybe since it will now be the "Nextel" Cup, not the "Winston" cup, Disney will get involved!?

We are excited too and hopefully this will be a positive of Winston leaving the sport. We went to the first truck race they held at the Disney speedway and were hoping at that time (1997) that Disney would get more involved. I would love for them to sponser a car. BTW - there is a thread like this over on the CB and we do our picks for the races every week - come join us.

I just bought a beach towel and 2 shirts from QVC that have Disney/Daytona on them and the characters. They were too cute to pass up. I also got a pink shirt for my daughter and the one in black for hubby at the Disney store. I too think it would be so cool if they sponsored a car. If they did, wonder who would be the driver........

You can go there to get Daytona/Disney cars and stuff.

I am so excited that they're selling all types of stuff for this.
