A little of this, a little of that, WDW US IOA SeaWorld Legoland Oct 12 PTR

So my day is so not going according to plan. I got up at 5:45 to make ADRs, and the stupid website will not recognize my resort reservation, even though I can see it right on the screen! It allowed me to make the first day reservation 180 days out and nothing else past that.

So I got ready for work, called in right at 7am and have now been on hold for 21 minutes. I'm starting to get really worried about our CRT and Ohana chances :(

After a stressful morning, we got all of our ADRs, at the times I wanted

Arrive Saturday late, no ADRs
Sunday 1900 breakfast (new to us) and dinner at Crystal Palace before MNSSHP
Monday DHS day - 50's Prime Time dinner
Tuesday AK and dinner at Rainforest Cafe (DDs choice)
Wednesday Epcot YES Class, dinner at Chef Mickeys with family
Thursday MK day, MNSSHP #2 - no ADRs, but have to try for Pirates League
Friday DHS - Sci Fri dinner
Saturday - Epcot dinner at Coral Reef (my moms choice)
Sunday - Universal
Monday - Universal
Tuesday - MK day CRT 8:05am breakfast (yay) and dinner at Ohana

That puts me at 180 days plus 10

Tomorrow I need to call and make Wednesdays reservations at TRex for DS

Thursday I need to call to make Thursdays reservations for Whispering Canyon

Friday I need to call to make Friday reservations for Mickey's Backyard BBQ (I think)

Saturday is the day to call for Pirates League :)

and after Saturday, I can sit and relax and stop calling Disney every day!

Sorry to hear you had troubles this morning... but yay for getting all the ADRs you wanted and at the times you wanted!

Here's hoping the rest of your calls go smoother! :thumbsup2

You did GREAT!! Well done. Just a hint for T-Rex...although this may be coming late in the game for today...don't bother with Disney Dining, call T-Rex directly and you can have whatever time you want. They release a very limited amt of dining reservations to Disney the rest they fill themselves.
Good luck with the rest of your ADR's! We are hoping for PL for our MNSSHP day as well!

Glad your ADRs ended up working out. They should just tell everyone not to even try to do 180 +10 on the website, since it's so stupid.

How excited about the Treehouse Villas! It's one of my dreams to stay there someday.

My fingers are crossed for you....

Thank you! I think it took everyone crossing everything to get any reservations. It was not an easy process for us for some reason!

I was really getting worried, especially being on hold so long!

We had to call the last time we ate there. I really need to sit down and do that, but I've been waiting until it's 180 days for that one.

I know. I've always drooled over them, but I just didn't want to shell out the money. Still don't, to be honest :rotfl:

Oct 23.

We're getting up early today. My mom loved meeting the characters last trip. She had her autograph book and made me take tons of pictures :) We ate at Akershus last trip, so where else to take her this time but Cinderella's Royal Table, and we scored the coveted 8:05am reservation! We've been here twice: once on our first trip when DD was 4, and then again on her 8th birthday. Look at this. She was so teeny!

As soon as we were done eating she was begging to rip the dress off and change because she hates being a girl. Swear!

Today is our second day at MK. Since brother's family will make us go right for Buzz first, today we'll go to the left first to hit DS's favorite ride

and a ride on this

and then whatever else we wander across that we haven't already tackled on our first MK day or at MNSSHP.

Dinner tonight is the other one my mom asked for: Ohana.
She was with her BFF the night the kids and I ate here last trip (our first time) and she was jealous after the kids went on and on and on about eating non stop and doing the hula (it doesn't take much to thrill them apparently!)

We stayed at the Poly last trip so it will be like returning to our old stomping grounds :) If we get done eating in time and every feels up to it (remember, we got up really early this morning!) we might head to the beach and watch Hallowishes

Great news on ADRs.
We just booked Backyard BbQ for our June trip with no problem. I think you'll be fine with that. With Trex, we've booked directly with the restaurant when Disney had no availability. The restaurant holds back some reservations from Disney.

Hi! Popping in from my PTR and the FB group. I rememeber reading your last whole family TR where you guys got sick.
I am also in love with MNSSHP. I'm jealous you guys get such a great fall break. We only get two days- although the local county school system gets a full week. After next year, they merge. I'm so curious to see what that will mean for our fall break in the future!
We share party days on the 14th, and also DHS on the 15th. Your mustdos for that day sound similar to mine. I'm so excited to do the animation class for tge first time!

Sounds like a great day!

I hope so!

The BBQ is only offered on Thursday and Saturday and we wanted it on Friday. Now I'm not sure what to do.

We used to get Thursday and Friday off for Fall Break only, so the kids would miss 3 days of school. This 2 week thing will be weird. We also get 2 weeks for Spring Break and 2 weeks for Christmas, with a shortened summer.

This morning I called and got our Pirates League reservations for the MNSSHP with all 7 of us. I remembered SIL saying she thought it would be fun, so I thought what better to do for costumes? The latest appts they had were for 2:30-3:00 (2 each 10 minutes apart which is weird, but ok) This means we'll have to take our pre-party break earlier than we usually do. It's going to be a long day!

How fun that you're doing the Pirate League!!! Nathaniel and Zachary both did it in August. I wasn't sure how Nathaniel would do with it because he can be funny about these things (initially he said he'd only do it if he didn't have to have his face painted but he ended up with face paint anyway :confused3 ). Both boys had such a blast!

R did Pirates League on her birthday trip and loved it. It will be the first time for everyone else though.

We'll be at MK on the 23rd as well!! Gonna have to keep our eyes pealed for each other!!

I'll be the curly haired girl dragging 2 kids and a mom behind me :)

October 24th

Today is our "Majority Rules" day!

We'll have one day left on our Disney passes, so we'll vote the night before to see where everyone wants to go. It will most likely depend on what park my mom will miss when she spends some time with her BFF (we won't know what day she is off work until we get much closer to our trip)

I'm so undecided about where to eat this night. It will either need to be a resort restaurant (maybe Cape May or Boma, both new to us) or a DTD restaurant (Fultons is my favorite but so expensive) I probably should make a decision soon.

Let me tell you how much this day is bugging the crap out of me. Having that blank space on my Excel spreadsheet in both the schedule and budget tabs is KILLING my anal accountant OCD self.

You're so funny! :lmao: The good news is that I think dining reservations have become easier now that some restaurants are requiring a $10 hold and the Disney system no longer allows 2 reservations for the same meal.
Can't help you with the blank spread sheet page though.... ;)

Amanda

Great plans :thumbsup2 Traveling with that many people sounds like so much fun! Though, I can imagine it also has the potential to get a little hectic

Your plans look great! Love Ohana!

We're going to Cape May for the first time this trip so I can't comment on it, but we love Boma. It's got some different items on its buffet so I find it to be a nice change from some of the other buffets.

I know what you mean about blank spreadsheets. Our Excell spreadsheet has two days that haven't been set in stone yet and everytime I open it, those two days drive me nuts.

It does seem like there is quite a bit open still.

I think we work well enough together and we don't spend all of our time together, so it seems to work out pretty well. Not to much drama, thankfully :)

I'm so glad someone understands the blank space Excel spreadsheet issue! ;)

October 25

We're going off the rails today! Thanks to a disboards post, we scored $45 tickets to Seaworld, so this day, my future little vet is heading off to spend the day with the marine animals!

We've never been to Seaworld, so I need to do some research of some must dos. However, one thing I have set.

When my mom found out we got tickets, she asked one question: "Do I get to swim with dolphins?"

Now, not once did she or has she ever mentioned she wanted to swim with dolphins. I looked and researched Discovery Cove and almost booked that instead, but with such a good discount at Seaworld, it didn't make sense, plus the kids and I did this amazing dolphin swim in Bermuda this summer where it was just the 3 of us with 9 dolphins for over an hour, nothing like 20 minutes at Discovery Cove with a large group.

Since I can't make her swim happen, I offered instead to let DD go with her go on a dolphin up close tour instead. That seemed to make her happy, so I'll send them on their merry way and take DS to ride some little kid rides for the hour they are on their tour.

I've booked Whispering Canyon for dinner this night. I'm not sure about it and think I'm going to cancel it. It seems like such a long drive back to the restaurant and that we might just be better to eat someplace closer to Seaworld (probably Cafe Tu Tu Tango, one of our favorite I-Drive restaurants)

Someday I want to start venturing off property and do Sea World, Aquatica even Universal. But once you are invested in WDW tickets it's hard to accept the cost of the other tickets. $45 is an awesome price! Good for you!
